“Rife with uproarious moments and banter that sings, this scorching contemporary will captivate Madden-Mills’s fans.” —Publishers Weekly

Not My Romeo, the all-new sexy and unforgettable contemporary sports romance from Wall Street Journal bestselling author Ilsa Madden-Mills is available now!

Madden-Mills - Not My Romeo - 29324 -CV-FT-V

We start off with a lie on Valentine’s Day.

My blind date isn’t the studious guy I expected: he’s a drop-dead gorgeous player with sinful amber eyes. Somehow we end up at his penthouse. I blame the gin and tonic.

The next day I learn he’s Jack Hawke—bad-boy professional quarterback with a murky past. The NDA he has me sign should be a warning that he isn’t a regular person. Please. I sign it Juliet Capulet, so goodbye, famous football player with abs of steel, and good luck tracking down this small-town librarian.

But Jack keeps showing up in places I least expect him. Just when I’m sure he’s gone, he waltzes into my community theater and wins the part of Romeo to my Juliet. How’s a plain, mostly innocent girl like me supposed to resist a man like him?

Is Jack my real Romeo…or will this gorgeous football player only break my heart?

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 4 Stars

Not My Romeo is a cute kick-off to a new series by Ilsa Madden-Mills.

A Valentine’s Day blind date leads to a mistaken identity meet-cute between librarian Elena and sexy football star Jack. He’s in the midst of a scandal, and she is looking to put the fact that her ex is dating her sister. The “blind date” leads to an amazing one night stand that neither of them are able to forget after the fact. They keep running into each other — first at a hot club, then in her small Tennessee hometown church. She had no idea who he was the night they met, and Jack loved that he met a woman who saw him for him — not the millions of his contract. A one night stand leads to a two night stand, and the attraction between them is sizzling hot. And when Jack does a community service of sorts by playing Romeo to Elena’s Juliet in her community center’s production of the play, she finds that there is so much more to the sports star than she ever expected.

But Jack has some major trust issues due to his ex-girlfriend, and he seems to always be holding back a piece of himself. And when he misreads a situation and blows things out of proportion, will it be too late when he realizes that he’s holding his past history against his and Elena’s present and future?

This book was a cute, quirky romance with a lot of heart and a lot of heat. There are some rather interesting side characters — hello, Topher! — and a potbellied pig named Romeo. I am excited to see what comes next in this series!

Sunny Shelly’s Review: The One For Me, by Corinne Michaels

An all new and endearing friends-to-lovers story…

The One for Me by New York Times bestselling author Corinne Michaels is now live!

Devney Maxwell has been my best friend since we were six years old, but she has no idea I’m in love with her.

Even when I’m on the road playing professional baseball, she’s my home–the only one I’ve ever known. But when I return to Sugarloaf to care for the family farm, I discover she’s trying to talk herself into a life with the wrong man … and I become desperate.

It only takes a single, perfect kiss to change everything.

I have six months to get it right with Devney–to convince her to leave this town and turn that kiss into forever.

I aim to do just that as I spend my days coaching her nephew’s baseball team, fixing up the farm, and loving her with all I have. Finally, it seems like our relationship is secure and we’ll find a way to make it work.

Then tragedy strikes … changing her life forever. She’s needed here more than ever, but as for me–there’s no way I can stay.

I know she’s the one for me, but I might have to let her go …

Excerpt:

“Don’t play that crap with me, Sean Arrowood. I know you better. You want the wife and kids. You always have. The issue that you have is that you’re stupid.”

“Stupid?”

She nods. “Yup. S-T-U-P-I-D. And dumb.”

“They mean the same thing.”

“It required the extra punctuation at the end.”

God, I love the side of her that is smart-mouthed, fearless, and relaxed. She’s only this way with me. Or at least, that’s what I’d like to think.

The last ten years have been hard on our friendship. We both went off to college, I had baseball and she was studying. We’d see each other on breaks, but after the accident that changed the trajectory of my life, I stayed in Maine, and we rarely saw each other.

However, when I had a series in New York, Devney came. If I was in Philly, she would find a way to meet me, and I flew her down to Tampa a few times.

Now, though, I’ll be around her so much more, and I know these feelings aren’t going to go away, they’ll get stronger.

Yeah, I guess I really am stupid.

“Well, I may be stupid, but at least I’m not settling.”

She sits up, slapping her hand on the couch cushion. “Settling?”

“Yeah. You may love Oliver, but he doesn’t make you crazy.”

Devney shifts back. “You’re making me crazy right now.”

“Good.”

“You’re infuriating!”

I shrug. “You love me.”

“It helps that you’re hot.” Devney quickly covers her hand over her mouth. “I did not mean it that like that.”

I grin and lean toward her. “You think I’m hot?”

“I think you’re mediocre. God knows your harem of . . . whatever you call them . . . think you are.”

For so long I’ve fought against telling her anything about how I feel. How those women are faceless and mean nothing to me. It’s always her. Always a brunette who I seek out, hoping to find just a piece of something like her that I can cling to, but I never say it.

Then I wonder, maybe this is the perfect time. Oliver is going to propose. Oliver will marry her, and I won’t have a god damn thing to say about it because I will have never told her.

Plus, she’s drunk.

Maybe she won’t remember it.

“Maybe so, but I’m not asking them. Plus, all the girls I’m attracted to look like you.”

Devney laughs while shaking her head. “Well, it has to be tough kissing your best friend, right?”

And in that moment, I know what I’m going to do. It doesn’t matter that it’s stupid or wrong. I no longer care about her boyfriend or how this moment will undoubtedly change everything between us because she will marry him when he asks. Devney won’t falter. She’ll cling to the safe, and I am not that, but I love her.

I lean closer and her eyes study my movement. With a trembling hand, I cup her face and brush my thumb against her soft skin. Everything freezes around us as I feel the warmth emanating from her. Our breaths mingle as the distance closes. “I don’t know, but I’d like to see if it’s tough to kiss you.”

I wait, giving her one last chance to push me away, but instead, her tongue moves against her pink lips, which is all the invitation I need.

I lean in, my lips touch hers, and I know my life hasn’t just changed, it’s been completely upended.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 5 Stars

Corinne Michaels has done such a great job with the Arrowood Brothers series! And Sean and Devney’s story did not disappoint! This small town best friends romance has all the feels! This is the third brother’s book but it is a standalone in the series!

The book opens with best friends Sean and Devney sharing a drunken kiss, but they don’t immediately jump into a relationship. Namely, because she has a boyfriend, but Devney is kind of in denial that she has been in love with Sean for 20 years. For her, it’s kind of a surprise to suddenly be faced with these feelings, but Sean has always been in love with her. But because he’s married to his pro baseball career, Sean won’t do anything about acting on his feelings.

As Sean lives out the six months he’s required to on his family’s farmland, he gets a chance to make his move on his best friend. She’s not so easily convinced that she should take a chance on him. But when tragedy strikes, both Sean and Devney are forced to reconsider everything they thought was true as secrets are brought to light. When the dust settles, will she see what is right in front of her — that she is the one for Sean?

Corinne Michaels does another bang-up job with this series. Like Declan and Connor before him, Sean will steal your heart. This friends to lovers romance is wonderfully written. This couple is relatable, and likable, and the situation they are in is so understandable — they are both in love with one another, but terrified to ruin the friendship that they both treasure. Once they finally take that leap, though — it’s remarkable and magnificent.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: Hard Fall by Sara Ney

Release Date: August 18

“Hard Fall”

That’s what my mom is always saying: “The bigger you are, the harder you fall.” She’s talking about love—I’ve never been in it myself, but that doesn’t stop me from secretly matchmaking for my friends. Who would suspect me, a world class athlete, of meddling in other people’s love lives? I love Love, especially when it’s not me who’s doing the falling…
“No Thanks.”

That’s what Hollis Westbrooke said when I asked her on a date. Well, propositioned her, actually—but it was all a big joke; one she doesn’t think is funny. My stomach is in knots since I might actually like this girl so the joke is on me. Hollis’s father is my boss—and she doesn’t date players.

The bigger they are, the harder they fall—especially when biggest player is me.

Grab Your Copy Here:

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 4 Stars

I am really enjoying this Trophy Boyfriends series from Sara Ney! Hard Fall is the second in the series, but can be read as a standalone. It follows baseball player Trace/Buzz and Hollis, who is the team owner’s daughter. Their meet-cute is a random run-in, but then they keep finding themselves in each other’s company over and over again. With each situation seemingly more awkward than the one before.

Of course, at first Hollis wants nothing to do with Buzz, as his reputation proceeds him. But as she gets to know him, Hollis learns that Trace, the man, is nothing like playboy Buzz. Still, Hollis is scarred from relationships past and is hesitant to let Trace in. But the more she gets to know him, the more she sees something that she likes in Trace.

The banter is snarky, sexy and witty, and Trace is a big ol’ teddy bear. When he falls, he falls hard and fast. And Hollis is the lucky lady who is on the winning side of his affections.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 5 Stars

The conclusion to Tyler & Gemma’s story in Needing You Close was everything I wanted it to be. I knew that there were going to be some twists and turns after the cliffhanger that Pushing You Away left me on. And it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows for them to get to their HEA. But the way that this story wound around with Tyler’s ex-boss Victoria and Gemma’s fiance was nothing like I was expecting it to be!

Everything about this conclusion was great. I didn’t feel like I was left hanging with any of the plot points, and the twists totally grabbed my attention and had me rushing to get to the next chapter. Well done!

And because Kennedy Fox do a bang-up job with their epilogues, I am totally hooked on finding out what will happen with Noah and Katie! I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: Kiss My Cupcake, by Helena Hunting

KMC - BT banner.jpg

Is it possible to have her cupcake and eat it too?

Kiss My Cupcake, an all-new laugh-out-loud standalone romance filled with witty banter and white-hot sexual chemistry from New York Times bestselling author Helena Hunting is available now!

9781538734674_KissMyCupcake_TR_CVR_V2-page-001 (1)

Blaire Calloway has planned every Instagram-worthy moment of her cupcake and cocktails shop launch down to the tiniest detail. What she didn’t plan on? Ronan Knight and his old-school sports bar next door opening on the very same day. He may be super swoony, but Blaire hasn’t spent years obsessing over buttercream and bourbon to have him ruin her chance at success.

From ax throwing (his place) to frosting contests (hers), Blaire and Ronan are constantly trying to one-up each other in a battle to win new customers. But with every clash, there’s also an undeniable chemistry. When an even bigger threat to their business comes to town, they’re forced to call a temporary time-out on their own war and work together. And the more time Blaire spends getting to know the real Ronan, the more she wonders if it’s possible to have her cupcake and eat it too.

KMC - teaser 2 AN (1).jpg

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 5 Stars

This rivals romance was so much fun! I love all the snark that Blaire gives to Ronan, and their little game of one-upmanship is hysterical. This book is all kinds of sexy and sweet, with a dirty-talking hero and a uptight baker who can’t stand the sight of him… at first. But as Ronan and Blaire join forces against a bigger threat in the neighborhood, she finds that he’s not all that bad of a guy. And the bickering becomes the biggest form of foreplay with these two.

Her family is a bunch of whackadoodles, and I loved how — even though they were barely friends at the time — Ronan sticks up for Blaire amid all of the put-downs and slams her family dishes out along with Thanksgiving dinner. At first glance, June Cleaver-loving Blaire and “tattoo lumberjerk” Ronan are complete opposites. But as they get to know one another, they learn that they have so much in common. And her love for 50s dresses was born from a similar place as his penchant for plaid shirts.

I wish that Helena Hunting would have given some kind of recipe list to go along with Kiss My Cupcake, because some of those creations that Blaire sells sound incredible!!

I received an advanced copy from the publisher via NetGalley and voluntarily left a review.

Excerpt

I take a bite, not as big as I originally intended, because that’s probably what she expects and I want to prolong the agony of her anticipation as much as I humanly can. I intend to tell her it’s just okay, except the moment the flavors hit my tongue I groan. Loudly. “Oh my God,”I mumble, crumbs tumbling out of my mouth and sprinkling all over the counter. Which I realize is disgusting.

But Blaire doesn’t seem to care. She grins widely, satis- faction and triumph making her face even more stunning. I consider asking what this is, but decide I don’t care enough to stop eating it. There’s coffee in the icing, but it’s not overly sweet, it’s light and buttery and decadently creamy. The cake practically melts in my mouth, hints of . . . whiskey, cocoa and vanilla and with the next bite I get a hit of creamy custard with a gentle hint of . . . almond.

Blaire doesn’t seem to notice the mess I’m making. At all. She’s sucking on her bottom lip and bouncing on the balls of her feet. Her lip pops free, teeth marks still evident. “Enjoying yourself.”It’s not a question, more of an accusation.

I want to shove the rest of it in my face instead of answering, but I lift my hand to cover my mouth so I can ask a question instead of affirm what she clearly already knows. “What is it?”

A slow smirk spreads across her lips.

She doesn’t say anything right away, so I jam the rest of it in my mouth. Half of me wants to beg her for more, but I know if I do, then somehow I’ve managed to give her the upper hand. Which is ridiculous. It’s just a cupcake, and regardless of what she thinks, we’re not really competing with each other. For the YouTube thing sure, but I don’t see how she can win against me and my kickass cool bar and the axe throwing. And now the whole live bands idea and karaoke.

The cupcakes-and-cocktails theme is cute. But that’s about all it is.

I try to keep my groan in this time, but a sound of contentment slips out.

“So you like my screaming orgasms?” she asks.

Which is when I start coughing. I also try to inhale with food in my mouth and choke. And cough some more. Blaire takes a step back since I’m spraying the counter with half- chewed cupcake. It’s a travesty because I want that all in my belly and not on the counter.

“Are you okay?” she asks when I continue to cough for another solid fifteen seconds.

“Yeah.” Cough. “I just”—cough—“didn’t expect that.”

“It’s the name of the cupcake,” she informs me.

“I figured, since you didn’t scream even once.”

“I’m not a screamer.” Her eyes flare, as if she didn’t mean for that to slip out.

Now it’s my turn to smirk. “Is that right?”

She spins around, but I can see her face in the mirrored wall in front of her. Her ears have gone red and she mutters something to herself, nabbing the box from the bar behind her. She rolls her shoulders back and turns to face me again. Her cheeks are the same color as her ears. She drops the box unceremoniously on the counter. “I figured you’d want more than one.”

“Yes. Definitely.” I nod.

“Multiples really are the best.” Her cheek tics, and the tips of her ears look as if they’re going to light on fire and take all her hair with it. I wonder how much product she uses to keep it looking so perfect and if it’s soft to the touch or not.

“I love multiples.” Both the giving and the receiving. I leave that part out, because I would prefer to eat the cupcakes, not wear them, and I feel like we’re suddenly treading a very fine line. Either that or we’ve already jumped right over it. I shake my head to clear it. “Uh, what do I owe you?”

“Those are on the house. Enjoy your night.”

Blaire usually happily charges me full price for my cupcake addiction. Although she does tend to toss in an extra one for good measure. I’m tempted to ask if I’m going to end up hogtied in the trunk of a car if I eat the rest of these, but I figure that might be pushing it. “I can’t imagine anyone has ever said no to free multiple screaming orgasms.”

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 4 Stars

Lots of heat and lots of humor in this romcom from Xavier Neal.

I loved that Ax was almost 40, and not a surfer dude in his 20s. Brooklyn is a 30something lifeguard chief, so there isn’t really an age gap here and I like when the couples are older. This book is set in Hawaii, on a popular beach, so reader beware that there is A LOT of surfing/beach lingo used. I got lost in it at times, and found myself kind of glossing over those references. Did it deter me from liking the story? Not really. But I did feel kind of lost at some points.

On the other hand, since these characters are in their mid/late 30s, there are lots of throwbacks to the 90s, which I absolutely loved! Yay! Ax and Brooklyn’s relationship comes in a kind of unconventional way, and this is a good story about a commitaphobe who meets the girl that brings him to his knees and makes him change his ways.

Baewatch is sweet, funny, full of heart and all the feels. It’s a perfect beach read! I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: Troublemaker, by Kayley Loring

🔥🔥 HOT NEW RELEASEL 🔥🔥

Troublemaker by Kayley Loring is LIVE!! A teacher is about to get schooled in matters of the heart by a single dad and his young son. #One-click today!

BLURB

TO: Alex Vega

FROM: Emilia Stiles

SUBJECT: Hello

Dear Mr. Vega,

I felt it necessary to follow up on today’s meeting, since we weren’t able to speak candidly in front of your son.

I was shocked to discover that you are Ryder’s dad. Given that your ex-wife will be out of the country for a while and you are currently his primary caregiver, I’m sure you understand why we need to establish boundaries and etiquette. I think it would be best if we just pretend that we met in person for the first time today.

Your son is a very bright (flirtatious and talkative) student and since his education is a top priority for both of us, I hope I can count on you to respectfully refrain from grinning at me, using that sexy tone of voice, and undressing me with your annoyingly beautiful brown eyes if we should happen to interact with each other again in the future.

Thanks so much,

Miss Stiles

TO: Emilia Stiles

FROM: Alex Vega

SUBJECT: Re: Well, hello again…

Dear Miss Stiles,

Great to hear from you. My son’s education is indeed a top priority. As such, I respectfully agree to refrain from doing all of the aforementioned things.

However, I can’t promise to stop thinking about that kiss at the bar this summer. I’ve been thinking about it for the past month. It’s interesting how humorless and uptight you are about my son’s totally awesome personality, given that I have personally witnessed just how flirtatious and talkative you yourself can be when mildly intoxicated.

You’re so welcome,

Alex

P.S. I volunteered to be a chaperone for your next field trip. See you then.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 5 Stars

SLOOOOWWW BURN! I have loved all these books in this Hollywood heartthrobs series by Kayley Loring, and Alex and Emilia are another hot couple!

Alex is friends with Shane (Sleeper) and Nico (Charmer), having been on the same Disney Channel series with Shanico when they were teens. Now in his 30s, Alex is a divorced single dad, one of Hollywood’s hottest directors — and totally smitten with his son’s 2nd grade teacher. “Emmy” and “Alejandro” had a hot makeout session in a club a few weeks before school started, but it never went anywhere else because of something that will be forever referred to as Vomit Night. So weeks later, both are shocked when Alex walks into Miss Stiles’ classroom for a parent/teacher conference for his son, Ryder, and sees the sexy librarian that he hasn’t been able to stop thinking about.

Of course, it’s not so easy for them to act on their feeling. The school frowns upon teachers dating parents of current students, and even though Alex is someone she can’t stop thinking about, Emilia is still kinda hung up on her jerk of an ex. Alex is soooo patient in waiting for her to feel like the time is right. The guy deserves an award for that! Their interactions are sweet and sexy, the pushing from Ryder as he tries to play matchmaker and the sexy flirty texting just add so much to this story and the build-up to Emilia and Alex finally — finally! — getting together.

Just like Sleeper and Charmer before it, Troublemaker is full of heat and heart. There are so many laugh-out-loud moments from all of the characters. Emilia’s bestie Franklin is a hoot, and I loved seeing how Shane and Nico give Alex advice. (Did I miss Alex completely in those books? I am sorry to say I don’t really remember him being a peripheral character them!)

Before the summer is over, binge-read Troublemaker. It’s definitely worth the trouble!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Before writing steamy romantic comedy novels, Kayley Loring got a BFA in creative writing from a Canadian university and had a fifteen-year career as a screenwriter in Los Angeles (under a different name). She mostly wrote PG-13 family comedies that studios would pay her lots of money for and then never make into movies. In 2017 she decided to move to the Pacific Northwest and write about all the fun stuff that she wasn’t allowed to write about in those PG-13 scripts. Now she’s breathing cleaner air and writing dirtier words. It’s an adjustment she’s happily getting used to.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: Back To Shore, by Taylor Danae Colbert

Release Date: August 11

When I was sixteen, I was madly in love with Ryder Casey.

He was kind, he was loving, he was everything.

Then he killed my twin brother, the night before our seventeenth birthday.

Accident or not, he crushed me in more ways than one. So I turned him away and never looked back. I haven’t forgotten. And I certainly haven’t forgiven.

Now, I’m sort of a hot mess. I’m in between jobs, essentially homeless, and newly divorced.

But as I try to put the pieces of my life back together, I know that Ryder’s the one that’s missing. I have to find him, and I have to forgive him.

And when I do, I learn that he’s not exactly living the easiest life. He needs someone. He needs me.

Despite everything, I know I should be there for him. But doing that means I’ll have to put our past behind us.

And I’ll have to try my hardest not to fall back in love with the man who broke my heart beyond repair.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 5 Stars

Taylor Danae Colbert is a new-to-me author, and I was quite taken by the blurb for Back To Shore. And once I started reading it, I could not put this book down. It is so much more than a second chance romance. It is full of pain, hope, forgiveness and righting wrongs — and I binged this book in a single reading overnight.

Following her divorce, Mila moves back home with her parents, into her childhood bedroom. The reasons for her divorce aren’t exactly clear in the beginning, and it seems like she is the one who wanted the divorce, not her ex. But there is something that has Mila so incredibly unsettled, and he’s hoping to make peace with that so she can start to heal. And making peace with that means facing her teenage sweetheart, Ryder, for the first time in 12 years.

Ryder was once her everything, but something happened between them that upended Mila’s world, when Ryder was responsible for her twin’s death, and made her hate him. But there’s a fine line between love and hate, as Mila learns when she returns to the lakeside town where she and Ryder spent two incredible summers together. And as much as Mila needs to find a way to forgive Ryder to move on with her life, Ryder needs Mila to forgive him as well. He’s carried so much grief around with him due to their past in the years they have been apart, and their unfinished business has not been easy on Ryder. He has been through more in the past 12 years than Mila could ever imagine, and as he lets her back into his life, Mila rediscovers how much she still loves him and how wrong she was about their past.

By returning back to the shore, Mila also returns to the love of her life — but in the end, will she find the peace and happiness she’s been chasing?

This book was so well-written. I felt like the chapters just flew by. And when all that Ryder’s been dealing with in his life is revealed — well, that crushed me. It was a double whammy that I wasn’t expecting, but it beautifully propels the story for this couple and their second chance at forever.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 5 Stars

I have been a big fan of Lisa Suzanne’s rockstar romances since the first trilogy of Mark and Reese from Vail. I’ve read that whole series and the whole MFB series, and was wondering how the heck she was going to pull off this book, finding Kane’s replacement in MFB. And it was brilliant. Not only did she introduce two new characters in Gage and Lexi whom I LOVED and fit in well with the MFB family, but the story itself was gripping, set in MFB’s reality show as Gage and Lexi are among the contestants competing to be the band’s new bassist.

A few days before the show starts filming, Gage and Lexi meet in the hotel bar. They click immediately, and spend a magical weekend together. Neither one of them wants to leave that Sunday, but neither of them are in the right place to explore it further. And neither one of them was truthful about why they really are in Los Angeles, due to the show’s non-disclosure agreement. So when they run into each other at the house a few hours later, they are both blindsided. Gage says something out of shock and surprise, Lexi replies from a place of hurt, and the whole thing escalates to the point that they hate one another. Except that they are madly in love with one another. And that complicates things when they are competing for the same spot in a band.

This book was nothing like what I was expecting, and beyond my expectations. The hurt and longing and fear and anxiety just rolled off of both of them. Professionally, if one wins, the other loses. And personally, they both feel like they’ve lost the other half of their soul before they were ever really able to get their relationship started.

In between Lexi and Gage’s chapters are some chapters from Dax’s POV as the band deliberates over the contestants, which I thought was a great plot device in giving the reader another point of view and insight to the other side of the show’s production. There is some great catch-up with the MFB members and their wives/fiancees, as well as a great scene with Mark and Reese from Vail.

I devoured this book in a day. And I really didn’t know how I wanted the competition to go regarding who got the spot as MFB’s bassist. But the outcome was the absolute best thing that could have happened for both of them, and the bonus epilogue was a killer.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 4 Stars

Lorelei James is a new-to-me author, so I was not familiar with her writing style or the Want Me series. It took me a while to really get into Gabi and Nolan’s story in I Want You To Want Me, but I found this book to be an enjoyable slow burn romance.

Apparently, Gabi and Nolan have crossed paths in the previous book because of some shared connections, like her working for his brother. They didn’t exactly hit it off then, so she kind of doesn’t like him by the time their story picks up in this book when she’s dumped by her boyfriend. They still don’t really get along even after that, and Gabi has kind of written him off especially after she overhears him saying some not too flattering things about her. But there is more to Gabi than meets the eye, and after she puts Nolan in his place, these two kind of start over and get to know one another.

I liked that this sports romance had the heroine as the athlete. It’s not all rainbows and butterflies for Gabi and Nolan, but they get to a place where they can turn to each other for support and they build a solid friendship before things take a romantic turn.

This was a fun and flirty slow burn romance. I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.
