Having read the rest of the Haven series, and the Baileys before that, I’ve been really curious about the mysterious Reese Haven, who was essentially estranged from his family and hadn’t been back home in nearly 20 years. In Peaks and Promises, Claire Kingsley delivered a wonderful story — not just in the romance between Reese and Summer, but in Reese’s reacclimation to his family as well, and with all the healing that had to happen between Reese and his parents and Reese and his brothers.
Needless to say, I was excited to finally get to read Reese’s book! I absolutely fell in love with Reese and Summer and sweet little Nate. Reese is such a tortured soul and has been carrying around so much baggage ever since he left Tilikum. It made my heart happy to see how much his life changed for the better over the course of the book, and Summer found the family she never had in the Haven bunch.
The audio is narrated by Aiden Snow and Stella Hunter, with Stephen Dexter showing up every now and then with a chapter from the POV of Summer’s ex, Axel.
