Sunny Shelly’s Review: 3.5 Stars
Sutton and Ezra’s story was a great workplace, slow-burn romance, with a tad of forbidden added in since he is her ex’s brother.
Ten years ago, Sutton broke off her engagement to Ezra’s brother to attend college in another state. Now, Sutton and Ezra have rekindled their friendship after discovering they are not only neighbors, but her new job as an athletic trainer is with his pro rugby team. I really liked the slow and sweet development of their friendship, and the slow burn as they tried to fight their feelings. There was a nice connection between the characters right from the start, and Ezra is a total golden retriever boyfriend as he shoots his shot at making his secret teenage crush into something more.
I haven’t read many rugby romances, so I was very appreciative of the cheat sheet Daisy Wren included of the terms for the sport! I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.
