Dear Sexy Ex Boyfriend was the perfect friends-to-lovers story. Reading about Summer and Oliver and their fake engagement was an absolute delight! Romcom queen Lauren Blakely kicks off a new series with this adorable couple and I am so there for the ride!

Summer and Oliver have been friends since they were kids, and I love the history that is between them. Simmering just underneath the surface is an attraction that they’ve both been hesitant to acknowledge, not wanting to ruin their friendship. Over the years there have been some moments between them that could have gone much further, but neither one was willing to cross that line.

But when a tongue-in-cheek homage to their friendship goes viral, Oliver and Summer find themselves pretending to be engaged — and realizing that their pretend feelings are actually very much real. This story is all about Summer and Oliver realizing what has been right in front of them all along is the thing that they never knew they wanted, and it is as simple as that. There isn’t a whole lot of drama, and once Summer and Oliver get out of their own way, things are easy going between them.

This story is swoony, romantic and fun. Likable characters, witty banter, and I can’t wait for Oliver’s circle of friends to find their own happily ever afters. I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.
