“Allow me.” I removed my monkey-suit jacket and spread it over a mound of hay that was closest to us. A quick glance toward the door ensured we were out of sight if someone were to walk in. “Better?” With an enthusiastic nod, Vanessa lowered herself on my jacket, rested on her bent elbows, and stared up at me. I looked down at her and considered all the things I could do to her with my tongue. “That dress looks amazing on you, but I bet having it pushed up around your waist would make it look even better. I can’t wait to see if there’s a thong under it or lace panties. I’m a thong guy.”

“You talk a lot. Are you just going to flirt with me or are we going to put this hay to good use? You owe me an orgasm.”

“Oh, you’ll get one. Trust me.” My dick was in agreement as it came to life in my pants. Poor thing had struggled throughout the entire ceremony.

I was a little late to this party, not having read the first book in this series, Finding Mr. Wrong. But that did not at all take away from how much I enjoyed Vanessa and Kyle’s story in Taming Mr. Flirt. If anything, I fell so in love with this group of friends that I added Brae and Jude’s story to my TBR list!

Vanessa and Kyle seem to be two peas in a pod when it comes to their anti-relationship outlooks. There is clearly an attraction between them — the book pretty much opens with them doing the deed in the barn during Brae and Jude’s wedding reception! After a few more sexually-charged encounters between them, Kyle proposes a friends-with-benefits arrangement… which suits Vanessa just fine, thanks to her fear of falling in love again.

But as in any good story in this trope, feelings start to develop, lines get blurry, and someone falls in love only to have their heart shattered. Taming Mr. Flirt gives the reader all of the feels, all of the laughs, all of the sexy time, all of the tribe of friends — and all at the perfect time and place in the story’s development.

Every time I considered leaving my room, I would grab the framed picture of Ben and stare at it.  The urge to go to Simon was so strong; I basically hadn’t put down the framed photo of my deceased husband in an hour.  I was lying in my bed, holding a picture of a dead man while fantasizing about one who was very much alive and in the other room.  With the door cracked open waiting for me.  There was one part of Simon’s note that I just kept reading over and over.
