They say you can’t escape your past, but I was hell-bent on proving them wrong. Rules weren’t a new thing to me since leaving the past and starting a new life with my adopted family. So when I’m forced to move into the frat house with my brother I’m not surprised when I’m given one rule; don’t kiss his friends. Sounds easy enough, that is until his sexy neighbor sets his sights on me. What’s a girl to do?
Trigger warnings: attempted suicide, sexual assault, and drug use!
I was expecting a lighthearted book based on the blurb, but No Kiss List was anything but!
These are flawed characters, but so relatable. I really thought Reed was a wonderful heroine. She has been through so much, always felt like she was a burden, and she really blossomed through this story. River seemed to be exactly what she needed, and he was so patient and dedicated. They both have baggage from their pasts that they are trying to work through, but despite the heartbreak and heartache, they manage to find their soulmate in one another. (I also wanted to slap Reed’s brother, AJ, quite a few times for his meddling.)
No Kiss List has plenty of sweet moments, and lots of spicy ones, but I was not expecting the rollercoaster of emotions I felt as I was reading this story. I will definitely be coming back to reread this one!

Title: Favorite Mistake
Author: Jessica Prince
Series: Redemption
Contemporary Romance, Small Town Romance, Romantic Suspense, Man In Uniform
He was the town’s golden boy, their all-American hero. But there was a side of him he’d only shown her.
When Lyric Jackson stopped for gas in Redemption, Tennessee, she wasn’t sure what to think of the small town nestled in the middle of the Smoky Mountains. Then she got one look at Holton Clarke, saw that charming smile, and fell instantly. One night with the man in uniform sparked an ember of hope, but things didn’t quite end how she’d expected.
All Holton Clarke ever wanted to do was protect the people he cares about. He thought he’d be able to do that better as a deputy for his hometown, but one call turned his whole world and everything he thought he knew upside down. Including what he’d hoped for his future with a certain sassy librarian.
But when danger from Lyric’s past comes calling, Holton has to put his fears and insecurities to the side in order to save the woman who has gotten under his skin, but she refuses to make it easy, or give him a second chance. Now she’s under his roof, sharing his bed, and throwing him attitude and dirty looks every chance she gets.
She might claim that nothing is ever going to happen between them, but that one night they’d shared was his favorite mistake ever, and he has every intention of repeating it for the rest of his life.
**The Redemption series is a series of interconnected, standalone, small town romances.**
After first meeting Lyric and Holt in Slow Burn, I was super excited to find out that they would be the couple in Favorite Mistake. Lyric has been crushing on the sheriff since she moved to town. They are both having a bad day when they run into each other at Bad Alibi, and their shared misery leads to a hot one-night stand. But then Holt bolts the next morning, saying that the night was a big mistake.
But Redemption is a small town, and Holt can’t exactly escape the sexy librarian who has been occupying his every thought. Lyric doesn’t give in easily and keeps Holt at arm’s length. But after a terrifying break-in at her house, Holt swoops in to be her white knight and the walls between them fall over the next few weeks as she camps out in his guest room.
Holt and Lyric have demons they are hiding because of events in their pasts, and those secrets are the last thing standing between them. I really liked the honest and open conversation they had about their pasts, and how they moved forward from that as a couple.
Like the other books in the Redemption series, there is an element of suspense — which gives Holt a chance yet again to swoop in and be Lyric’s protector and savior.
I have read a lot of Jessica Prince books, and I think that Favorite Mistake is definitely her spiciest one yet! Holt seemed so nice and sweet in Slow Burn when he took Deva out on a date; but the sheriff is a dirty talker who likes it rough!

Visit Redemption a series of interconnected standalone romances
Born and raised around Houston Texas, Jessica spent most of her life complaining about the heat, humidity, and all around pain in the ass weather. It was only as an adult that she quickly realized the cost of living in Houston made up for not being able to breathe when she stepped outside. That’s why God created central air, after all.
Jessica is the mother of a perfect little boy–she refuses to accept that he inherited her attitude and sarcastic nature no matter what her husband says.
In addition to being a wife and mom, she’s also a wino, a coffee addict, and an avid lover of all types of books–romances still being her all time favs. Her husband likes to claim that reading is her obsession but she just says it’s a passion…there’s a difference. Not that she’d expect a boy to understand.
Jessica has been writing since she was a little girl, but thankfully grew out of drawing her own pictures for her stories before ever publishing her first book. Because an artist she is not.
Summer Jones only wants three things in life: 1. Keep her house plants alive. 2. Open a beautiful bed-and-breakfast.
3. Never see or speak to Beckett Valentine again. None of those things are currently possible. Summer Jones and Beckett Valentine are rivals and have never wanted the same things in life except for the newly for sale Horseshoe Creek Ranch. Summer thought her dreams of building a B&B would finally come true until her number one enemy decides he wants the land, too. Beckett plays dirty and refuses to give her what she wants—a common theme in their relationship—and the dream of acquiring the property turns into a living nightmare. They might’ve been at each other’s throats since they were teens, but the stakes have never been so high. And right now, she’s more determined than ever to take down her best friend’s older brother—cowboy boots and all. **Bless Your Heart is a small town, enemies to lovers, best friend’s older brother, contemporary southern romance with a guaranteed happily ever after. Each book in the Valentine Texas series is a stand-alone. Warning: this book contains tons of Southern sass, sarcasm, and lots of spice! Fade to black is not included.**
Sunny Shely’s Review: 4 Stars
I’ve read a bunch of Kenedy Fox books over the past few years, but Bless Your Heart is the first solo book I’ve read by Lyra Parish. And I am a fan! Beckett and Summer’s story is a great unrequited love, enemies-to-lovers, best friend’s brother romance. I really enjoyed these two characters and how competing over a property in their small ranching town of Valentine, Texas, brought them together and made them face their true feelings for one another.
Bless Your Heart is the start to a new series set in this quaint ranching town, and I loved the tease at the end for Summer’s best friend, Kinsley, and her ex. I am looking forward to more of this series!

About ROYALLY IN TROUBLE:
I have two responsibilities as the new heir to the throne:
1. Get married. 2. Have babies.
Sure, becoming queen one day is part of those new responsibilities, but as long as King Theo is in charge, I don’t have to add a coronation to my list.
That’s why I find myself in the throes of wedding planning, pre-wedding classes with my broody, over-protective fiancé, and counting down the days until we can finally say I do.
But with every day we grow closer to our wedding, we seem to grow apart.
Our commonalities are tested. Our faith in each other is questioned. And our safety is threatened. The only thing working? The command he has over me in the bedroom.
I keep telling myself, it’ll all work out. We just need to make it to the wedding day. Except, when the day finally comes, everything falls apart.
We might have made it through the last few months together, but now I’m not sure we’re going to make it out of this alive.
This sequel to Royally Not Ready was fantastic! I was content with the way Keller and Lily’s story ended in that book, but this sequel was everything. I am so glad I got to spend more time with these two!
Instead of a nice, sweet follow-up, Meghan Quinn ripped Keller and Lilly apart, made readers suffer and cry (oh, her characters suffered and cried, too!) before we were pieced back together again. Yet even throughout the struggles that these two go through during their royal wedding preparations, there are so many hilarious moments. Keller during the kiddie storytime was a moment to remember! And then came the traumatic twist of events, and I wanted to scream and yell and cry because I just wanted this couple to get married!
Well, there is a HEA. But it’s a long and twisty road for Keller and Lilly to get there!
I listened to this book in audio, with the sexy John Hartley and Samantha Brentmoor replacing Emma Wilder, who had scheduling conflicts and could not record this sequel. You know what, I didn’t even care that Lilly’s voice wasn’t the same. I didn’t even notice. Because I escaped into this amazing story!
I’m sad to say goodbye to this world because I really wanted Lara to get a book (but I felt satisfied enough with her personal connection by the end of RIT) and I fell in love with Lilly’s princess cousins. At least Lilly and Keller got the HEA they deserved!

Love Me Today is the perfect example of why A.L. Jackson is the queen of small-town romantic suspense! From the moment of their not-so-meet-cute first encounter when her vintage pickup crashes into his shiny new Range Rover, Paisley and Caleb were perfection!
Caleb is broody and high-strung, a fallen angel as Paisley calls him, determined to right at least one of the wrongs of his past when it comes to protecting sweet little Evelyn. Paisley is a ray of sunshine, and quite the optimist, even though she’s been burned in the past. We know how this story goes — as Paisley spends time with Evelyn as her horse trainer/substitute nanny, she also slowly starts breaking down the walls that Caleb has erected around himself. But will Paisley be able to push through that last barrier when it comes to a man who doesn’t think he’s deserving of love, or will she get her heart broken yet again?
Audio narrators Joe Arden and Andi Arndt delivered this story beautifully. They nailed all of the tension between Caleb and Paisley, and brought a softer vulnerability to these characters as well.
Love Me Today was a great start to a new series, full of rich side characters I can’t wait to get to know better. I can’t wait to revisit Time River again.

Meet A.L. Jackson
A.L. Jackson is the New York Times & USA Today Bestselling author of contemporary romance. She writes emotional, sexy, heart-filled stories about boys who usually like to be a little bit bad.
If she’s not writing, you can find her hanging out by the pool with her family, sipping cocktails with her friends, or of course with her nose buried in a book.
LN White is an emerging Indie author who enjoys writing contemporary romance stories. This is her first novel in the The Story of Us duet. She lives in the Midwest and is a stay-at-home mom to three boys. She is a November Scorpio which only drives her creative side even more. As a child she spent time dreaming of belonging in romance novels and now as an adult has written one. When she’s not writing, she enjoys baking, cooking, binging the latest reality trash tv, and catching up on reading. She enjoys reading romance above all. There’s nothing a good small town romance story with a morally gray and mysterious love interest who happens to be the hero’s enemy/rival and a rainy afternoon can’t fix.
I have somewhat mixed feelings about Before Us. It’s emotional and angsty, and Dani and Seth were likable characters. It’s fast-paced, since it’s set over the course of a summer, with a hint of a love triangle between Dani and her childhood friend/late brother’s best friend Logan. Both Dani and Seth experience a lot of growth over the course of this book, even though there are truths he his purposely hiding from her: that he has cancer.
Overall, this was a solid book, especially as a debut novel and the first part in a duet. Before Us is full of heartbreak and tragedy, yet still manages to be a coming-of-age story as well. I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.
I am loving the Campus Legends series with the Colter brothers!!
This time around we have sweet, misguided Drake, who is trying to play wingman and get his twin, Drew, a girlfriend. Drake quite enjoys swimming in the dating pool, and isn’t looking for a commitment himself. But when he pretends to be Drew on a dating app and swipes right on the cute girl from Drew’s class (whom Drake first met when he was pretending to be Drew to take a quiz for his twin), Drake ends up falling head over heels for Daisy himself.
Sounds confusing? Don’t worry about it. This book was a delight to read, and I adored Drake and Daisy. She is a sassy spitfire, and while I didn’t like Drake and his ego at first, he grew on me and I found him to be quite charming! I hated that he was leading Daisy on, but I loved that she got him back and they somehow managed to navigate a good and proper relationship.
Now let’s get Drew matched up! I received a complimentary copy and voluntarily left a review.

Marrying Beckett Coleman is the best idea I’ve had in years. I can grant my sick dad’s wish to walk one of his daughters down the aisle, and Beckett has my help solving a custody situation with his daughter. Our plan is to spend a year together, then part ways. Easy, especially since I’m not his type, and he’s not mine either.
He’s too quiet and too serious. And while he’s distractingly gorgeous, he’s also my brother’s teammate. Beckett is fake husband material, not the real deal. I just have to remember that.
Until I move in with him. Get to know him. Share a bed with him. Turns out, the line between fake and real isn’t just blurry, it’s almost impossible to uphold when he looks at me the way he does.
This marriage is a whole lot more complicated than we bargained for. We’re threatening to destroy everything we’ve built, something neither of us can risk.
Marrying Beckett might’ve been the best idea in years. But falling in love with him would be the worst.
Another great book from Karla Sorensen! Beckett and Greer both have their own reasons for wanting a faux marriage — and while it isn’t exactly love at first sight, and they are both deceiving their respective families in the process, they fall in love along the way and it was great to go along for that ride.
This was a lovely slow burn. There push and pull between Beckett and Greer made me want to throw my kindle, because there is so much chemistry between them! Beckett has a great co-parenting relationship with his ex, and it was so nice to see that they truly put Olive first and didn’t use her as a pawn for their own agendas. Beckett’s whole reason for agreeing to marry Greer is to solidify more time with his daughter. And the relationship that Greer developed with Olive was quite charming. She seemed to get that shy little girl right off the bat, and Olive just blossomed through their friendship.
As they go along their fake-marriage-way, Greer and Beckett begin developing feelings for one another — on top of increasing guilt about lying to their loved ones. The fallout is spectacular, and the makeup is magnificent!
One and Only is the start to a new series about the rest of the Wilder siblings. We have already met Erik in The Plan (another fake dating romance, and just as good!) and Adaline in Emmett Ward’s next-gen book, The Crush, but One & Only can be read as a standaline. I can’t wait to get to know the rest of this rowdy bunch!

New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author S.L. Scott brings the charm and romance,
smiles and laughs to Along Came Charlie. This friends-to-more novel is packed with heartfelt
emotion reminiscent of the best of chick lit of the past with a modern twist for today’s
readers.
I’ll be your date, and you’ll be mine.
Who says a funeral can’t be romantic?
Okay, everyone. Including myself.
That doesn’t stop the rumor mill from turning when I show up with a beautiful redhead on my
arm.
That redhead also just happens to be a stranger, relatively speaking. Charlotte Barrow and I
have run into each other a few times—on the subway, at a bar, and now on our way to
separate funerals. Instead of the prodigal son who let his parents down showing up alone, I
traded favors and brought a date. The deal made sense at the time.
You be my date, and I’ll be yours.
Who knew bringing a date to your ex-fiancé’s funeral would cause such a stir?
Technically, I did.
I invited him anyway for moral support. It didn’t hurt that he was handsome.
The cold-hearted stares that greeted us didn’t matter. We found comfort in each other and
formed a friendship from there. Charles Adams was nothing like my ex. The pressure wasn’t
there to be anyone other than who I was. He also loved my cupcakes as much as I enjoyed his
company.
I always dreamed of finding my soul mate, and then along came Charlie. My perfect match was
right here all along. Did I realize it too late?
Having read several angsty books from S.L. Scott, I was pleasantly surprised by this sweet story between Charlie A. and Charlie (Charlotte) B. It was a wonderful slow-burn, friends-to-lovers romance with a heavy focus on the developing friendship between these two characters. From the moment they first noticed each other on the subway to their first friend-date at a pair of funerals (yes, yes, but it works!), I adored these two characters. Scott perfectly captured every nuance as their friendship developed, the yearning, the longing, the will-they-or-won’t-they, and poor Charlie B’s trust issues after a broken engagement and the subsequent guilt and struggles that came with all she had to work through in order to be the best version of herself so she could be the partner Charlie deserved. This story is just lovely! I received a complimentary copy and voluntarily left a review.
Meet S.L. Scott:

With stories ranging from light and witty beach reads to heart wrenching and heart healing, Scott has a story for all readers. Her books are more than escapes for the voracious readers of today. They are journeys of the heart that always come with a happily ever after reward at the end.
The Problem with Second Chances by Piper Rayne is now live!
For Rylan Greene and me, it was simple. Love only got us so far.
I’ve known him since we were six, long before he became the professional soccer star he is now. We’ve weaved in and out of one another’s lives as rivals, teammates, friends, and lovers. Until three years ago, when my life took a hit and I ran back to my small Alaskan town, Lake Starlight, away from anything or anyone that could hurt me.
He’s never far from my mind, a constant pining ache in my heart, but I’ve convinced myself I’m better off. But now, my best friend announces her engagement and that means Rylan will return home to stand as best man to her fiancé.
He’ll be back in my orbit for three whole weeks… but I can easily keep my distance. Sure, we’ll have to walk arm in arm down the aisle together, he’ll hold me close during the bridal party dance and we’ll stand for pictures next to each other. Nothing I can’t handle.
I’m so naïve though because he’s not in town for more than twenty-four hours before he knocks on my door. I should know by now, that the two of us will never be finished business.
This second chance romance spans sixteen years of a true love match that proves these two will only ever belong to one another.

Like hundreds of other Piper Rayne fans, I have been waiting for years for Calista Bailey and Rylan Greene’s story. There have been snippets of these two legacy characters sprinkled throughout the OG series (the Bailey Family and the Greene Family), and we were teased beyond belief in some of the Bailey and Greene novellas. Finally — finally! — their story has been told it was every bit as wonderful as I hoped it would be!
The Problem With Second Chances is a magnificent second-chance romance, full of angst and the push and pull of will-they-or-won’t-they. Calista and Rylan are soulmates, so good together, so miserable apart, yet they can’t seem to get out of their own way and make their relationship work! Being forced back together as best man and maid of honor in the three weeks leading up to the wedding of their best friends really forces Ryan and Calista to take a long, hard look at their past and what they want for their future!
While this wonderful book is a standalone, it is especially a sweet treat for PR fans who have read the two series that this next-generation spinoff originated from. I adored seeing scenes from Rylan and Calista’s perspective, like when his brother Fisher nabbed them breaking into houses as teens to screw with people’s Netflix accounts. Loved all those little Easter eggs!
I read this e-book along with listening to Joe Arden and Erin Mallon narrate the audio book. The narrators did a wonderful job of bringing this beautiful story to life. I laughed, I cried, I couldn’t wait to get to the end, but I didn’t want this story to end!
This book was everything I hoped it would be and so much more! Bring on Brinley!
