FALLING FOR THE HOLIDAYS by Erin Hawkins

Blurb:
As a single mom, the holidays are chaos on another level. Working two jobs, running a cookie business, and trying to keep Christmas magical for my seven-year-old son is exhausting on a good day. So, I’m not sure why I thought I’d add dating to my never-ending to-do list.
My date is a disaster, but the charming Brit playing piano at the bar—and later flirting with me over a pool table? Not so much.
One reckless night with Beck Hargrove feels harmless.
Until I run into him the next day at my son’s Winter Fest workshop and our one-night fling becomes a lot more complicated.
Now the PTA moms think we’re together, my son is obsessed with him, and the ridiculously charming British man I was supposed to forget keeps showing up in all the worst places—my kitchen, my holiday plans, and very much in my head.
The more he helps with Winter Fest, charms everyone in Cedar Hollow, and looks at me like my messy life is something he actually wants, the harder it is to remember he won’t be staying.
But Beck is always chasing his next adventure.
And I can’t afford to fall for a man who’s only here for the holidays, no matter how much he’s starting to feel like he belongs.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 4 Stars
Erin Hawkins is an author who has been on my to-read list for a while now, and I’m so glad I got to read Falling for the Holidays because it was an absolutely charming holiday story!
Beck is passing through town over the holidays, visiting his brother, when he meets overworked, stressed-out single mom Lottie at the local bar. A one-night stand turns into something so much more when they cross paths the next day at a community Winter Fest event. Their relationship gets a whole lot more complicated when the PTA moms think they are actually dating, and Lottie’s son takes an instant liking to Beck, and soon, their fauxmance turns into something neither of them expected.
I thought these two characters had great chemistry. I loved the fun, flirty banter between Beck and Lottie, and the vulnerable moments. I went back and forth between the ebook and the audio, and the immersive reading was a great way to experience this story. Jason Clarke and Savannah Thomas were great with these characters. I honestly forgot that Jason isn’t British; he did such a great job narrating Beck!
Falling for the Holidays was a great way to start off the holiday season! And it made me want to go back and read the earlier books in this series!
I received a complimentary copy and voluntarily left a review.
