After finding out that her fiance had been cheating on her, Zara heads down South to her sister-in-law Sofia’s house, and ends up having a steamy fling with Sofia’s dirty-talking, Cowboy cousin, Gabriel. They aren’t supposed to be anything more than a two-week affair, but when Zara accidentally gets pregnant, everything changes for both of them. But when her life is in New York, and he runs a bar and the family horse business on a farm in Georgia, how will they make co-parenting work?
These two characters were on fire! I loved Zara’s sass, and Gabriel’s drawl and possessiveness and dirty mouth. There are lots of appearances from the other characters in this larger series, and the reader gets to know Sofia’s family a bit more during the time Zara spends on Grandpa Casey’s farm.

This book was beautiful! I read it in a day because I could not put it down! I love an intense marriage-in-jeopardy book, and Jennifer Milliken delivers with What We Keep! Avery and Gabriel’s story will warm your heart, make you cry as they are torn apart, and then feel all glowy as they fall in love for a second time.
I love how the story is set up. The first half is told as flashbacks during Avery’s therapy sessions. She and Gabriel were on fire from the moment they met (quite literally! As well as figuratively). But when they crashed and burned, they fell hard! The reader goes along on the journey with Avery and Gabriel’s picture-perfect romance, the fissures that made them crack, their marriage eventually crumbling to bits, and her struggle to pick up the pieces and move on.
The second half of the book is in present time, when karma… fate… destiny… brings them back together. They have both changed so much over the past three years. There is so much hurt to move past, and they are in this suspended state for a while, living in a bubble where they don’t need to face the past. But when time runs out and they have to make some hard decisions, will Avery be able to forgive Gabriel and trust him again?
If you are looking for a second-chance romance that is raw, gritty and intense, don’t miss What We Keep! I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 4 Stars Having been on several cruise ships, I was transported there immediately while reading Caribbean Crush!
Travel journalist Casey sets out on the Auriela’s maiden voyage with the mission of interviewing the reclusive shipping heir and CEO owner of the ship. Small problem: they were bitter rivals as teenagers. Casey and Phillip’s story is everything you’d expect from rivals/enemies-to-lovers: witty banter, lots of tension, and a deep-rooted dislike of one another. All set in a tropical paradise! The push and pull between these characters is addicting as they navigate their changing feelings for each other and their messy history.
Summer may be over, but Caribbean Crush is a delightful holiday escape! I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

Nash didn’t plan on living with his brother’s widow. Or that he may finally get his chance to win me back.
I ended up with the wrong brother. Now, he has passed away, leaving me a widow with a baby. But then his brother Nash walks back into our small town and my life. My disdain for the former hockey player is apparent, yet still, he moves in to care for my son and me, claiming it was his estranged brother’s dying wish. But having Nash close stirs memories of when we may have had a chance. In truth, he always lingered in my thoughts. And it takes one kiss to cause turmoil.
Because nothing appears as it seems.
The relationship that develops is inevitable; we have a past, after all. But the dilemmas we reveal may tear us apart. Even with guilt for moving on, a fire between us feels near eternal. And the trail we create in the fallout of our romance makes me realize that Nash and I? We’re something long ago that always should have been…
Nash and Summer will send you on a no-cheating rollercoaster in a forced proximity, single mom and a second-chance romance with a twist. Should Have Been is the third and final standalone book in the Lake Spark Inn series, part of the Lake Spark world.
Should Have Been wraps up the Lake Spark Inn series with Nash and Summer’s story. It’s complicated and messy, but at the end, it is a heartfelt second-chance romance.
As teenagers, Summer, and brothers Zac and Nash, were best friends. Zac was always ill, having battled cancer for most of his life. And while Summer loved Zac as a best friend, she was *in love* with Nash, and he her. But their relationship took a turn when Nash broke Summer’s heart, eventually leading her to marry Zac and give birth to their son, Bo. Now it’s years later, and Zac’s final wish was that Nash come back to Lake Spark and live with Summer and Bo for six weeks….
There are so many emotions in this story. Heartbreak, grief, resentment, guilt, and so much love. It takes a while for Summer and Nash to get to a place where they can even be in the same room without sniping at one another — he can’t get past the fact that she married his brother, and she is still so hurt by their breakup years ago. Things aren’t always as they seem, however, and once they hammer out their issues of the past, Summer and Nash fall into an easy relationship…
But it’s a secret one. How will the town react to her moving on so quickly? How will Nash’s parents respond? There is a lot to be navigated before they can get to their HEA, but in the end, it always Should Have Been Summer and Nash.

I’ve got one job: protect the younger sister of my best friend and team captain. Then our private plane crashes in southern Alaska, and we’re the lone survivors.
The two of us are the unlikeliest of partners when we find ourselves stranded in the unforgiving Alaskan wilderness. My hockey playing skills are of no use here, where the bitter cold is my new opponent. And Trinity Lorenzo? She’s about as warm as a block of ice. I get it, she’s fleeing an abusive boyfriend and she and I are strangers. But I always keep my word, and I promised Dalton I’d keep his prickly sister safe. If we want to live, the two of us will have to find a way to get along and work together.
Our ordeal draws Trinity and me closer, and fighting the pull between us becomes harder than anything we face while hoping for rescue. Whether we make it out or not, I need her. More than water or shelter—more than anything. Dalton will never forgive me if I cross the line with her, but surviving means something different now. Surviving means making her mine.
I liked the first 3/4 of Lost In You, but the last 1/4 felt really rushed to get to the ending.
Following a plane crash, Lincoln and Trinity, his best friend’s little sister, spend several months together in an isolated cabin in the wilderness of Alaska, As they struggle to survive, they naturally grow closer. And there’s eventually no denying the attraction between them.
For the most part, Lost In You was entertaining and held my interest. The storyline is straight-forward, without any speedbumps or plot twists. However, after the rescue, everything seemed so rushed.
Meanwhile, Lincoln has.. a certain hangup… when it comes to relationships. This comes back into play once they decide to make a go of things in the real world and he lays out his promises for the future. But his whole Grand Gesture to win her back felt kind of icky — he made a lot of assumptions and what was supposed to be a sweet gesture was a major move that affected both of them, but he never discussed it with her ahead of time. And she was fine what that??!
Overall, Lost In You was entertaining, but it wasn’t my favorite. I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

Why you need to #ONECLICK this book… Enemies to Lovers Firefighter MMC Strong Heroine Found Family
When Kennedy met River at a frat party ten years earlier, sparks definitely flew—but not the kind she would have preferred.
A decade later, they find themselves thrust together at their best friends’ wedding. Even though their intense attraction remained, nothing else seemed to mesh between the two. Constantly opposing one another, they couldn’t run faster in opposite directions.
Too bad fate had different ideas.
Their lives became a continual game of push and pull until the day came when they could no longer fight that overwhelming connection.
What started as a way to just scratch an itch soon turned into unexpected feelings and questions of what-ifs.
Can these two enemies find their way to true love, or will they be destined to challenge what the future has in store for them?
Sunny Shelly’s Review: 5 Stars
Stefanie Castro has quickly become a must-read author for me, and I loved this kick-off to a new series. River and Kennedy’s story gave me all the feels for an enemies-to-lovers romance.
These characters were so fabulously flawed. They hated each other for years, and there is a fine line between love and hate. Once they gave in to that passion, they were combustible! A secret relationship soon became so much more as these two commitaphobes realized they had more in common than they ever realized. There is also a lovely layer of the long-term effects of grief and the loss of a parent, and I thought that was handled so well by SC.
River and Kennedy complemented each other so wonderfully! I loved the supporting characters, and the sense of found family among the friend group. I CANNOT WAIT for Clay’s book!

Maybe blurting out my imaginary relationship status to my nagging mother wasn’t the best idea.
Declaring that I’m dating my boss’s brother-in-law, well, that was just wishful thinking and a lot of panic.
To my embarrassment, they both overhead me. But Merrick not only offers to be my plus one, he agrees to fake date me for the next couple of months leading up to my sister’s wedding.
The more time we spend together, the harder it becomes to deny that every look, every touch, is making him more a part of my life than I’m prepared for.
The pain of thinking about walking away from him when it’s time doesn’t feel pretend. It feels real… too real.
Merrick
Courtney’s sister is tying the knot, and her mom is relentless about her finding a date and settling down. In a moment of panic, she claims she’s dating me.
To save her from the awkward situation and ease the pressure, I suggest we fake a relationship until the wedding. I figure we can hang out, show up to the wedding, and go our separate ways.
But as we start spending more time together and meeting each other’s families, the lines between real and pretend blur.
What was supposed to be a simple agreement starts to feel genuine. I’m unsure when it happened, but this relationship is suddenly the real deal, and I don’t want it to end. I want us to stay real.
After nine books, the Kincaid Brothers series comes to a wonderful end with Merrick and Courtney’s fake relationship romance in Stay Real!
The relationship between Merrick and Courtney starts out as a farce when she claims he is her boyfriend to get her overbearing mom off her back about not having a date for her sister’s wedding. But as they spend time together in their fake relationship, they fall into such an easy stride and it’s all too real.
Long before their three-month deadline, both develop strong feelings for the other. Merrick is a swoony book boyfriend, and I adored how he pampered Courtney.
To tie up the series, KR gives readers a peek into the future with a bonus epilogue from the POV of Blakely, the oldest niece. Set 10 years in the future when she is now a college student, we see where the 9 brothers and cousin Ramsey are with their 24 kids. I loved that! And Blake is primed for a book of her own! I can’t wait!

𝐁𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐑𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 (Sutton Ridge) by Emery Rose Andrews is now LIVE! Don’t miss this all new slow burn, enemies to lovers romance!
About BITTER RIVAL:
Enemies to Lovers
Forced Proximity
Who Hurt You
Slow Burn
Grumpy X Sunshine
All the Banter and Steam
BLURB
Spending the summer on a vineyard sounds idyllic. But my California dream comes with strings attached—forced proximity with the insufferable Beckett Heyward.
He loathes me and okay, I get it, but it’s not my fault his father bequeathed me half of the Sutton Ridge estate.
Not that we actually own it yet. First, we have to meet the conditions—to live and work on the vineyard for three consecutive months. Together.
God help me. I don’t know how I’ll survive three minutes under the scrutiny of his piercing blue gaze let alone three months.
What do I care if my childhood crush has broad shoulders and sculpted abs now?
His roguish good looks and dimpled smile leave me cold. What smile? All he ever does is scowl and brood and march around, barking out orders.
Oh, I know what he’s up to, but good luck trying to cut me out of the inheritance.
Granted, he was his father’s only son, and sure, I’m only the stepdaughter. But I’m not the evil villain in this fairy tale.
I’m just the girl tasked with the impossible—to convince my bitter rival to keep the vineyard.
And to not, under any circumstances, fall in love with Beckett Heyward.
Bitter Rival is a great new start to a new series by Emery Rose Andrews. There is a lot of push and pull between Beckett and Daisy in this enemies-to-lovers, forced proximity, grumpy/sunshine, coworkers story. While the story overall is pretty low-angst, they are complicated characters with emotional baggage, and they both go through quite a transformation.
Beckett and Daisy are given joint ownership of a winery after his dad dies. Technically, they are former stepsiblings, but it’s been quite some time since they’ve seen one another. She’s always felt at home at the winery, and he wants nothing to do with her, his estranged father, or the vineyard. I loved the setting of Sutton Ridge, and the banter between these two characters kept me hooked on the story.
Emery Rose Andrews did a wonderful job of crafting a slow burn, opposites attract story between a heroine who is the sunniest of bright flowers and the surliest of grumpy heroes. I enjoyed Bitter Rival so much, and I can’t wait to see what comes next in the Sutton Ridge series!

Butting heads leads to knocking boots in this wildly sexy enemies-to-lovers, grumpy/sunshine, small town cowboy romance by Jessica Peterson.
My dad and I have been estranged for years. But as his only living relative, it’s no surprise I inherit his massive cattle ranch when he dies. Something that is a surprise? The stipulation in his will, which requires me to live on the ranch and actively manage it for a year before I can access my inheritance money.
I haven’t stepped foot in Hartsville, Texas, population one thousand, since my parents split when I was six. Now a city girl through and through, I never imagined having to move back to cowboy country. But I need the money to invest in my company, and a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do.
There’s just one giant roadblock to my plan: the ranch’s foreman, grumpy cowboy Cash Rivers. I don’t care how good he looks in his Wranglers and chaps. He’s rude, he’s growly, and he wants me gone. I’d fire him in a heartbeat, but I need this cowboy to teach me the ropes of running a ranch.
We’re enemies from the get-go. But turns out, Cash is really good at this ranch thing. He’s got strong hands, an intelligent mind, and let’s just say everything really is bigger in Texas. Working alongside him leads to conversations beneath the stars. Throw in some cheek-to-cheek dancing at the local dive bar, and it all feels so right that I start to fall in love with life on the ranch. And maybe with him, too.
But my stay in Hartsville is only temporary. And you know what they say about cowboys: they may break horses, but they also break hearts. If only Cash hadn’t already lassoed mine…
CASH is the first standalone book in the brand new steamy, interconnected Lucky River Ranch Series!

Cash by Jessica Peterson is a great start to a new series. I knew it was going to be a grumpy/sunshine, enemies-to-lovers cowboy romance, but it also touched upon family drama, grief, loss, and healing.
After Mollie’s estranged father dies, she is expecting to get an inheritance of cash that she can turn around and place into her boot business. Instead, she inherits the entire ranch, and a stipulation in her father’s will requires her to live there for a year. Meanwhile, ranch foreman Cash was under the impression that the ranch would be left to him. Mollie’s dad had been a surrogate father to him after his own parents passed away, and he couldn’t understand how she could have been so cold towards a parent that loved her so much. So not getting the ranch (which he was hoping could help him restore his own family’s neighboring property) was a real stick in his craw.
There is nothing but distrust and dislike between Cash and Mollie at first. Yet as Mollie learns the ways of ranch life, she falls in love with the land, and eventually even with moody Cash. This slow-burn romance was lovely. These characters are wonderfully written, and I loved seeing how their feelings toward each other changed along the way!
I can’t wait to see the other Rivers brothers find their soulmates! I am going to keep Cash on my re-read list!

Everly Plum is delighted to be heading up the Bridesmaid for Hire program at Magical Moments by Maggie. And when Hardy Hopper, one of their billionaire investors, approaches Everly for help with his friends’ wedding, she’s more than happy to step in. But Hardy has an extra assignment for her: his ex-girlfriend will be the maid of honor opposite his role as best man, and he wants Everly’s help getting her back.
There’s only one problem: Everly may have a tiny crush on the dashing businessman. But despite the way Hardy makes her stomach flutter, she’s determined to prove herself, both as a bridesmaid and as a matchmaker. That is, until she finds her crush turning into real feelings. Not to mention, Hardy can’t help but notice how well he clicks with Everly, and before he knows it, he’s not looking for his ex’s attention anymore.
But even after their simmering attraction finally rises to the surface, they will have to contend with meddling friends, poor timing, and professional boundaries—and the risk that no one might get a second chance after all.
“When I say no one ever wants to share pizza with me, I’m not kidding,” Hardy says as he picks up a piece from our shared pie. The Uber dropped us off at a hole-in-the wall Italian place downtown, and we may as well be in Lady and the Tramp, just minus the spaghetti. “They always say pineapple isn’t supposed to be on pizza, but I don’t agree.”
“I’ve never had just pineapple, it’s always accompanied by ham or pepperoni, but I’m not opposed to this. It’s sweet, and the side of barbeque sauce is a nice surprise.”
“Good, right?” Hardy asks, waggling his brows.
“I would say more along the lines of interesting.”
“Hey, I’ll take it,” he says with a smile. “Maple never liked pineapple on pizza.”
Which makes me a better fit for Hardy than she is, but we’re not going to mention that or make this a competition because Maple is actually really sweet.
But just for my own personal record and satisfaction…ha, Maple, I can share a pizza with Hardy, and you can’t.
Okay, pettiness is over.
“Shame,” I say. “Because it’s good. The dipping sauce I’m still adjusting to.”
“Hang out with me some more and I’ll win you over.” He winks.
Boy, you have already won me over.
You won me over months ago.
After he swallows and takes a sip of his drink, he says, “So, tell me about your day.”
“Pretty sure you know about my day,” I say.
“Yeah, but you’re not eating dinner alone tonight, so act like I don’t know anything about what happened today.”
Well…that makes my heart nearly beat out of my chest as I look into his perfectly blue eyes. With comments like that, he’s making it next to impossible for me to even think about anyone else but him.
Samantha Brentmoor and Jason Clarke narrate in duet this steamy, enemies-to-lovers romantic comedy. BRIDESMAID UNDERCOVER is now available on Audible!
I feel like all of my Meghan Quinn reviews include this line lately: Each time I think she can’t possibly top herself, she absolutely does! Hardy and Everly’s story is brilliant! It’s charming, sexy, and laugh-out-loud hilarious, with awesomely rich characters that you just can’t help but root for.
I loved seeing the friendship grow between Hardy and Everly as she helped him win back his college love, Maple. Their “undercover” disguises and briefs were some of the best parts of this book! Things get complicated for Everly, who has long had a crush on Hardy, when she develops real feelings for the guy while trying to help him win back his ex-girlfriend. And it’s not too long before Hardy realizes that Everly is a pretty perfect match for him…
And JP Cane! Our penguin-loving friend, JP Cane, picks up a new cause in flamingoes in this story. If you know, you know…
I thought that Jason Clarke and Samantha Brentmoor did a wonderful job in their duet narration. They captured the nuances of playing multiple characters, and really shone as Hardy and Everly.
