Born and raised around Houston Texas, Jessica spent most of her life complaining about the heat, humidity, and all around pain in the ass weather. It was only as an adult that she quickly realized the cost of living in Houston made up for not being able to breathe when she stepped outside. That’s why God created central air, after all.
Jessica is the mother of a perfect little boy–she refuses to accept that he inherited her attitude and sarcastic nature no matter what her husband says.
In addition to being a wife and mom, she’s also a wino, a coffee addict, and an avid lover of all types of books–romances still being her all time favs. Her husband likes to claim that reading is her obsession but she just says it’s a passion…there’s a difference. Not that she’d expect a boy to understand.
Jessica has been writing since she was a little girl, but thankfully grew out of drawing her own pictures for her stories before ever publishing her first book. Because an artist she is not.

Blog Tour: Crazy Daisy, by Maggie Adams

Crazy Daisy

Author: Maggie Adams
Genre: Military, Contemporary Romance
Cover Designer: Crystal Creations
Release Date: February 26, 2019

Daisy Jones has loved Gideon McElroy her entire life. Painfully shy, she had lived for the summers spent on the small island near Wisconsin at her grandpa’s cabin, when Gideon would come to stay with his grandfather, the Colonel. While the old men reminisced on happier times, Daisy would follow Gideon like a puppy, thrilled just to be in his presence. When he enlisted, she was heartbroken but took solace in the fact that he would still come to visit his aging grandfather when time allowed.

Fate had other plans. When his grandfather passed on, and Gideon didn’t attend the funeral, Daisy knew he was gone forever. She married, had a child, and tried not to think of Gideon or what had become of him.

Fifteen years have come and gone. Daisy, now a widow, is the veterinarian on the island. She sees to the animals of the tiny town and lives a simple life. But when rumors fly that a strange man is living on the Colonel’s land, she makes it her duty to investigate.

Gideon McElroy has come home to die. He knows he should have left this earth back in Afghanistan, not stitched back together to satisfy some damn surgeon’s “God complex.” The scars left behind have given him a grotesque appearance, a good reason to stay to himself. Between his appearance, the locked fence, and Samson, his large Mastiff, he’s confident in his solitary existence until he exits this world.

But he never counted on “Crazy Daisy” and her determination to drag him back into life.

She glanced around. Nothing much had changed except the large exercise machine in the corner facing the window. All the books, the old rugs, were in place; even the chess set was still in front of the window. It even smelled the same – slightly moldy, but redolent with the cherry vanilla tobacco the Colonel had smoked, and the Pine-Sol he had used to clean everything.

“Gideon? Where are you?” Daisy walked through the kitchen toward the back of the cabin. Perhaps he had been hurt. In concern, she quickened her steps. As she neared the bathroom, there was what sounded like a groan. Truly worried now, she opened the bathroom door and stood stock still.

Gideon McElroy was stark naked and hard, his cock in his hand.

“What the fuck? Woman, are you crazy?”

She heard him yell, but she was transfixed. Most of his left side was crisscrossed with scars, like he had been in a fire. Even his groin and chest looked like a roadmap. The beard obstructed his neck and jawline, but the scars continued up the side of his face and into his hairline.

And he was pissed.

Daisy mumbled an apology and frantically searched for a towel. She spotted it on the vanity base and threw it at him, backing out of the room as he tied the towel around his waist and advanced on her as she hurried down the hall into the living room.

She held her hands up to ward him off and began to babble. “I’m sorry; I thought, well, the dog was missing, and the door popped open and I wasn’t sure if you were hurt, or even here and I wanted to…” She tripped on the leg of the large armchair and fell into it. The sun was completely blocked from her sight as Gideon closed the distance between them. For a moment, she thought this must be what Belle felt like when the Beast got in her face. She could feel his breath against her cheek.

“Now I know you’re not blind,” he snarled. “But are you deaf and dumb? I told you to leave and not come back. To stay away. Now what part didn’t you understand? Or maybe you’re just crazy like people in town say?”

That hurt. She had thought the name was because she was crazy enough to take on the local VA hospital when her David couldn’t get help with the PTSD he had suffered from after Afghanistan; not that she was, well, crazy. Tears began to fall, and she cursed inwardly. She hated that she cried when she was angry. It was a sign of weakness to her mind.

“Fuck! Don’t start the waterworks.” Gideon flung himself away from her. “I don’t care why you are here, I just want you gone.” He looked around the room. “Where the hell’s Samson? How did you get past him, anyway?”

“I, er, I don’t know. He wasn’t here. That’s why I thought something was wrong.” She wiped her tears with her coat sleeve. “I heard what sounded like a moan in the back, and I came down the hall to make sure you or Samson weren’t hurt.”

Gideon eyes lit on the basket of goodies Daisy had brought. “You’re the fuckin’ welcome wagon?”

“No! Um, well, yes, I guess, in your case. I needed to make sure Samson had, um, his shots and was chipped, so I brought the basket and some of the cookies you liked when we were kids.” Daisy shrugged. Now that she thought about it, that did sound kind of lame – here’s some cookies. Remember me?

He quirked an eyebrow and picked up the taser. “And if I didn’t cooperate, you were going to taser me into accepting the basket?”

“No!” she laughed. “The dog,” but as soon as she said it, she knew she was in trouble.

“You were going to taser my DOG?” he roared, advancing on her once again.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 2 Stars

The blurb for Crazy Daisy hooked me. It sounded like an amazing story of two lost, kind of tortured souls. Unfortunately, that’s not what I felt that I got in reading the book. The blurb is more detailed than the story itself.

The premise of this book is a solid story, but the execution fell way flat. Are there chapters missing? Gideon goes from wanting nothing to do with Daisy to falling into bed with her the third time their paths cross? I just didn’t feel the chemistry between the characters, and things moved way too fast with little to no build-up, which did nothing as far as making me invest in Gideon and Daisy as a couple.

Seeing as this novella is 8 chapters long, it only took me about 20 minutes to read. I think there’s a promising story in the midst of the clunky writing and awkward dialog, but it definitely needs to be fleshed out.

I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

EXCERPT

Just then Lexi comes down. She looks well rested and fresh. Which reminds me of how good she smells. God. Not good.

She nods at me and gives her brother a warm half-hug, wrapping her arms around his shoulders while he’s still sitting. She backs up a small step and remains standing.

When’d Hit Man say he’d meet up?” Jase asks.

Lexi and I simultaneously check our phones.

He still hasn’t texted,” I say.

He tied the tour bus, left us in the rain, never called, never texted, never showed up, and left us totally stranded with no place to go on a weekend almost every hotel in the city was booked for a convention,” Lexi says.

Hit Man, Hit Man,” Jase growls.

As if on cue, Hit Man appears from behind the check-in desk wearing a Comfort Suites polo shirt.

Speak of the devil and he shall appear,” I say.

Don’t say it a third time,” Lexi says softly. “He’s like Beetlejuice. You say it a third time he’ll materialize next to the table.”

Hit Man saunters over.

Douche-workers,” Hit Man says happily.

A redhead comes out from the back room behind the check-in desk looking disheveled. Hit Man doesn’t even look. “That’s Mary. Marah. Maria.”

Mariah?” Lexi says helpfully.

Yes!” He snaps his fingers.

I point to his polo. The word is on the nametag on his shirt.

He twists around and blows Mariah a kiss.

He looks back at us. Something behind me catches his eye and he a megawatt smile. I turn slowly to find a Hispanic maid with a mop frozen in place staring at Hit Man like he’s a mountain of diamonds. I shake my head. I don’t know if it’s the combination of the chocolate skin with dark green eyes, or the charisma, or some unnamed X-factor. After all these years, the deer-in-the-headlights reaction shouldn’t surprise me, but it always does.

Hit Man’s voice lowers until it sounds like a cross between Barry White and the Transformers’ Optimus Prime. “Hola, Mamacita. Ven conmigo.”

There’s a high-pitched squeak from the maid and she says, “Casada! Married!” and runs away.

Man-whore,” Jase says softly.

Slut,” Lexi coughs into her hand.

Judgmental bitches,” Hit Man says. “I’m just appreciating the local finery.”

Lexi makes a gurgling, ‘I’m disgusted’ noise in her throat, and I roll my eyes.

Ya’ll’z just jealous. You’re all fired.”

Jase’s stomach rumbles. Hit Man looks around.

Where’s the food?” Hit Man asks. “Mariah said there was a breakfast buffet laid out until ten.”

It’s ten fifteen,” Jase says.

Same thing,” Hit Man says.

Not to a drummer,” I mumble.

Release Blitz: The Reality Of Wright & Wrong, by Leddy Harper

We’re celebrating the release of The Reality of Wright and Wrong by Leddy Harper! Check out the excerpt below and one-click today!

Adult Contemporary Romance
Release Date: March 14, 2019
Add to your TBR – https://bit.ly/2RzE69w

Blurb:

“Save me and have me, fix me and I’m yours.”

What do you do when you catch your fiancé grinding on another woman? Well, if you’re me, you run off with a sexy, ink-covered tattoo artist who goes by the name Wrong.

Then you marry him after a week.

This isn’t a story of love at first sight—love didn’t come into play until after I had ruined it all. It’s the reality of what is right and what is wrong when it comes to soulmates.

Excerpt:

Mercy rested the back of her head along the edge of the pool, the water hiding the parts of her I craved to see. The subtle curve of her hips and smooth skin along her inner thighs. Granted, the best parts were still covered by a yellow bikini that left more to the imagination that I would’ve wanted. Regardless, the soft swell of her breasts that bobbed to the surface every now and then left me drooling and dangerously close to pitching a tent in my board shorts.

“What’s the story behind your name? Where’d Mercy come from?” I crouched in front of her so that the water covered my shoulders, putting us face to face.

She rolled her eyes, yet the smile that danced on her lips negated any irritation she sought to convey. “If you had to guess…what would it be?”

I stared at her for a moment and contemplated all the reasons her parents would’ve given her such a name. “Your mom begged for mercy while she was in labor with you.”

“You’re such a good guesser,” she said, humor coloring her tone.

“Is that really the reason? Or are you just fucking with me?”

“You’ll never know, will you, Brogan?” Not only did Mercy lookinnocent, but she acted and flirted like a good girl you’d bring home to meet your mom. And for someone like me, that was a dangerous trait to have. “Or should I call you Wrong?”

My chest constricted so rapidly, so harshly that I lost the ability to breathe for a moment. The mere the thought of her referring to me aswrongin any fashion—regardless of it being my nickname and everyone else under the sun calling me that—resembled a sledgehammer to my sternum. “No. Call me by my name.”

Any sign of amusement in her expression fell away. Apprehension curled her shoulders and embarrassment lowered her lashes, preventing me from seeing her eyes. I hated that she’d blocked me out. More than any other time since meeting her, this was the moment I needed to see them the most.

“Mercy…” It was raspy and low, my throat unwilling to release her name for fear it’d slip away and I’d never get it back. But before I could say anything else, she lifted her gaze. And I stopped breathing for an entirely new reason.

Two burning embers stared back at me, desperate and hungry for just one breeze to bring them back to life. Needing to ground myself, I grabbed ahold of her legs, behind her knees, and stepped between them. With her thighs against my hips, she gasped, and her eyes popped open wider. And those two dangerous, smoldering embers became two raging fires, yearning to burn out of control.

“Women call me Wrong because they climb into my bed thinking I’m Mr. Right, and then leave knowing I’m nothing but wrong for them. That’s why I want you to call me by my name. Call me Brogan. Not Wrong.”

“Okay…”

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 5 Stars

A Model Fiance was an absolute joy to read! It’s a brother’s best friend/fake relationship romance full of laughs, awkward situations and complicated emotions

Dev and Audrey have known each other for years. He’s now a big-time model, and she shares the guy she’s been in love with most of her life with the rest of the world. During a trip to Vegas, the two “accidentally” find themselves engaged — and the media runs wild with the news. In order to help Dev secure a new contract, Audrey agrees to travel with him and pose as his fiance. Naturally — because that’s what always happens! — the lines become blurred and Dev soon realizes that Audrey is someone he can’t live without.

Dev had been attracted to Audrey for years, so this wasn’t an out-of-the-blue revelation. Spending time together lets him see her in a different light, and he discovers how compatible they really are. This story is so fun and flirty, and develops at such a nice pace. I am most definitely keeping Audrey and Dev on my re-read list!!

I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

Excerpt
“Tell me, Audrey,” he murmured softly in my ear, “what’s one habit you
wish you could break?”
Half a dozen things other flashed through my
mind—using a fork and knife for my pizza, flossing my teeth at night while
watching TV in bed, other things that irritated my ex. Maybe the biggest habit
I needed to break was falling for the wrong men, but even that wasn’t a habit.
Once. It happened once. I just
happened to do it Olympic-style, and lost everything.
I bit my lip—another habit—before blurting out,
“I wish I was more spontaneous.”
Once my life didn’t go to plan with my parents’
death, I made damn sure I planned the rest. It hadn’t worked out. Was it karma?
Fate? The gods laughing at me?
“You seemed pretty… free-spirited earlier.”
Was this flirting? “Well,
you know,” I laughed uneasily. “What happens in Vegas…”
My earlier show in the lobby with the champagne
bottle was the craziest I’d probably acted since… well, ever. I couldn’t deny
that it was liberating.
Maybe I needed to be a little wilder.
Maybe I needed to have a fling.
Maybe I needed to remind myself that one of the
hottest men in the world was sitting close enough to irradiate my brain cells
and make me think naughty thoughts.
The taxi wasn’t so small that we needed to sit hip-to-hip and shoulder-to-shoulder.  His breath was hot at the top of my ear, and
I knew that if I just turned my head and tilted my chin…
I shook my head slightly, unable to even look
him in the eye. I didn’t have the guts. Dev wasn’t an adolescent boy anymore.
Now he probably dated supermodels and movie stars. And me? I had no game. Hell,
I’d already lost a few turns in the Game of Life.
“What about you?” I asked him as the car
stopped.
 “What
about me?” he replied.
He pressed closer, reminding me that I needed
to get out of the car before he could. I wriggled over, trying to keep my skirt
down and my shoes from slipping off.
Then I made the mistake of turning my head and
meeting his gaze, like a kid who can’t help but look at the sun during an
eclipse. His lips curved as he leaned his body into mine to make for the door.
My voice was needlessly breathless when I asked
him, “Do you have a habit you wish you could stop?”
“Compulsive kissing.”

Book Blurb:

Presley McDaniel lives her life from moment to moment.

Making permanent decisions means obligation, and that would force her to stop being the family disappointment. Waitress, fitness instructor, dog walker … you name the hourly job and she’s probably held the position.

But when her grandmother can no longer run her book shop in Fawn Hill, a town so small it barely has its own zip code, Presley steps up to help.

The move from bustling city to green pastures may be exactly what she needs to sort out her life. But she didn’t ask for that happy ending to include a gorgeous veterinarian with an all-American smile and a penchant for snuggling puppies. The good doctor is reliable, responsible, and just the kind of man Presley has always avoided.

Love and commitment are predictable.

So why, the moment she lays eyes on him, are they all she wants?

Keaton Nash has never questioned his steady path.

His brothers may tease him about settling into his father’s passed-down role of small town veterinarian, but Keaton has never minded his rural roots. And after tragedy struck two years ago, he has a duty as the eldest Nash man to look after his family.

What he doesn’t need is the sexy, flighty stranger who shows up in town and gets his broken heart beating again. Presley McDaniel is a distraction, a red-headed temptation that is the definition of a bad idea.

He’s barely recovered from the love who left him to chase bigger dreams, and this woman is bound to do the same.

Except for the first time ever, he wants to abandon stability.

She makes him want to be reckless.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 5 Stars

Fabulous, fun and flirty small-town romance and a great start to a new series. Keaton is a by-the-book guy with a world of responsibilities on his shoulder. Presley is a free spirit who lives life by the seat of her pants. But when sparks fly between them in this small town romance, their lives will both forever be changed.

This was a great new series start by Carrie Aarons. The characters are likable, the plot and pace flows nicely, and the reader goes along for the ride as Presley and Keaton fall in love. I love how he centers her, and she teaches him that it’s okay to be spontaneous. And do what he wants for himself for once, rather than what he thinks everyone needs him to do for them.

I can’t wait for #2 to read Bowen’s story! I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

Excerpt

I tip my chin up, letting my head fall back against his
stomach. I catch his grin and let my own lips curve up playfully. Or at least,
it starts that way. Under the heat of his stare and with his hands still moving
across my shoulders in deep, sure circles, my body tenses for an entirely
different reason.
His touch feels intimate.
The way he’s studying me from beneath those dark lashes is
intense. He doesn’t look away, and I couldn’t if I tried. “Honestly, Jay, what
can I do? You shouldn’t carry all this stress.”
“I—” want you to touch me. The words catch in my
throat and hammer in my chest. My pulse gallops and I press my legs together as
the need between them—the need for him—obliterates any rational thought.
I almost say those words aloud.
By the heat in his stare, I wonder if he feels it too.
“Jay,” he whispers. My name on his lips is full of the same
tortured longing I feel down to my core. We barely scratched the surface of
this sexual tension when we were teens, both too young and too naïve to fully
understand the power of it.
Now. Right here. I swear those same feelings have multiplied
and grown. It’s overwhelming. Terrifying as hell. And yet . . . I can’t help
but arch my back even more. I delight in the way his gaze drops to the neckline
of my shirt.
His eyes zero in on my chest and his touch becomes feather
light as his stare takes in the hard peaks of my nipples straining against the
soft cotton fabric. I want him to touch me there. To haul me off this chair and
into his arms. I need to taste his lips as they press against mine. Crave it.
“I have an idea,” he whispers so softly that if I weren’t
watching his lips I would have missed the words.
“Yeah?”
His hands brush along my arms, down to my elbows and then
back up, his fingers so close but not touching the swell of my breasts. “It’s
selfless on my part, because you know how giving I am.” He’s teasing. Joking.
But it doesn’t kill the chemistry that swirls between us. If anything, it only
adds charge to an already building momentum.
His hands feel good, but they’re not enough.
“Your idea?” My gaze waits for his.
“I want you, Jayla.”
“Oh.” Heat pools in my belly. My skin feels flush. And my
body, my body wants this and everything he wants to give.
His hands slide up the length of my neck, then still as they
cup my face. “I’ll make you feel better. I swear.” He tilts my chin up and my
back arches in response. His body leans down over mine, slowly closing the
space between our mouths.
“I don’t think that’s a good idea,” I murmur, completely
fascinated by the heat in his stare, and the way his tongue swipes across his
lips.
“Let me kiss you at least?” He lowers his mouth, his intent
as clear as his words. “I’ve been dying to taste those lips. To see if they’re
still the same.”
“Um . . .” I should feel caged in. Between the chair and the
table, his hands near my throat and his body behind mine, I expect my anxiety
to ruin this moment. Only it never comes. Instead, desire and attraction so
powerful flood my veins. I almost reach up and grab for him.
“One kiss?” He bends, closing the remaining space until
there isn’t more than shared breath between us. All I need to do is close the
space, to nod my consent, and his lips will crash on mine.

Title: Object of my Desire

Author: R.L. Kenderson

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Photographer: FuriousFotog

Model: Chase Ketron

Designer: R.L. Kenderson

About Object of My Desire:

A romance author, a cover model, a book signing…a crush.

Ordinary women like me know we shouldn’t fall for beautiful men like Travis Zehler, one of the hottest cover models in romance fiction. But sometimes we can’t help ourselves.

When I meet him at a book signing, my attraction to him is instant. I’m infatuated, and I can’t stop thinking about him.

Even though I have doubts he’d ever be interested, I invite Travis to attend a book signing with me. And he says yes.

My fantasy comes true when he takes me to his bed, and the more time we spend together, the more I see that Travis isn’t some object to be desired.

He’s a man with a past. A man who’s been burned. A man who’s learned to keep his guard up.

I want to show him he can trust again, but when our confidence in each other is shaken, I began to wonder if happily ever afters are only for my romance novels.

Exclusive Excerpt:

Travis looked away from his phone as he heard Sydney move on the bed. She rolled toward him and put her head on his shoulder. Her brown hair was messy, and her eyes were puffy from sleep.

He thought she looked adorable.

“Mmm … good morning,” she said, her voice hoarse from sleep.

“Good morning.” He kissed her forehead and slid an arm under her head.

She brushed her hand down his chest and abdomen and back up. “Mmm … it’s been a long time since I woke up to a man in my bed.”

“Are you forgetting last weekend?”

She smiled up at him, her eyes half-closed. “That was the hotel bed. I’m talking about my bed.”

“Ah … got it. And I’m glad I could break your dry spell.”

She looked to his phone, which he was holding up. “What are you doing?”

“Just scrolling through Instagram.”

She continued to rub his torso. “That’s your app of choice, isn’t it?”

“Yeah. I used to be on Facebook, but it got to be too much. My personal page, my professional page, groups …”

“I forget how young you are sometimes.”

He wrinkled his forehead. “I’m not that young.”

She kissed his chest and smiled. “Young enough that you’re in the group of twenty-something-year-olds that make me feel old for using Facebook.”

“I never said you were old.”

She laughed. “I know. You should hear my niece.”

Travis smiled. “I can imagine.” He opened up his messages and scanned through them. At the same time, he noticed that Sydney looked away. He assumed it was to respect his privacy.

The woman was a keeper.

He went through them, saving some to reply to later and replying to a few right away. “Oh my God.” The next one he hadn’t been prepared for. He should have been, but those kinds of messages still surprised him every time.

Of course, Sydney looked up at his exclamation.

His first instinct was to hide the image on his phone, but he was innocent.

“Is that … hold on.” She reached over and put her glasses on. “Holy crap.” She burst out laughing. “Those are some huge boobs.” She grabbed his cell out of his hand and zoomed in and out. “Wow. Those babies are impressive.” She handed him back his phone. “Do you know who sent the pic?”

Travis just stared at Sydney. She’d laughed. She hadn’t gotten mad or upset. She thought it was funny.

He cleared his throat. “Uh, no. It’s some random fan.”

“You, too, huh?”

“What do you mean, you, too?”

She rolled her eyes. “I’ve gotten my fair share of dick pics.”

“You have?” He was surprised.

“Yeah. I guess it’s because I write romance. Apparently, the conclusion is, I write about sex, so I must want pictures of strangers’ dicks. When are men going to learn that women don’t ever want that, and if they do, they’ll ask for it?”

Travis laughed. “Do you keep any of them?”

She looked away from him. “Do you?”

“Don’t judge, but sometimes, I show some of my friends before I delete them.”

“You perv. I can’t believe you,” she said, her voice full of sarcasm.

Travis’s eyes widened. “You do it, too.”

“Duh. Of course.”

“So, do you have any on your phone right now?”

“Uh … no.” She looked up at the ceiling.

“You liar.”

“Okay, I have one because I’ve never seen anything like it.”

He made a come-here motion. “Show me.”

“Okay. But it’s your turn not to judge me.” She grabbed her phone from her nightstand, did a couple of moves on her phone, and passed it over to him.

“Holy shit.” He reached down and cupped his dick.

“Right? It’s a Jacob’s Ladder. Ribbed … for her pleasure.” Sydney laughed at her joke.

He was horrified. “That looks so painful.”

“I suppose it is.”

She took her phone back. “I’ve always thought it would be cool to have sex with a guy with a penis piercing, but this is just too much.”

This caught his attention. “You want to have sex with a guy with a penis piercing?”

“Technically, I said it’d be cool. I want to know if it feels good or if it feels weird.”

Travis took her phone out of her hand and threw it on the bed as he rolled Sydney under him. “How about I show you what feels good right now?”

She grinned up at him and spread her thighs.

Travis pushed into her, groaning at the sensation of her wet, slick heat surrounding him.

He kissed her neck and drove into her over and over. Sydney moaned as she lifted both legs and sank her nails into his back. He thrust into her until he brought them both to completion, whereupon he collapsed on top of her.

He quickly fell to her side, so he didn’t suffocate her and pulled her against him.

“Feel good?” he asked.

“Yeah,” she said, panting on his chest.

“And I did it all without a cock piercing.”

Sydney laughed and kissed his sweaty chest. “What are you doing today?”

“I’m hoping you have a gym nearby I can go to.”

“You can go to mine. Do you go every day?”

“Yep. I might take a day off, but it’s usually only once a week. Or, if I can’t go, I do something else to get exercise in.”

She groaned.

“What? You don’t go every day?”

“Hell no. I do four days a week.” She looked up at him. “Does this mean you’re going to break it off with me?” Her eyes widened, and she shook her head. “There I go again, opening my big mouth. And, this morning, I can’t even blame the wine.” She got up on an elbow. “Feel free to ignore me.”

Travis laughed. He liked that she saw them together. The best part was, he wasn’t scared, nor did he feel the need to push her away.

He pulled her back down. “I’ll forget what you said if you go work out with me.”

She rolled away and jumped up from the bed.

He sucked in a breath at her sexy, naked body.

“I take it back,” she said as she walked toward her bathroom. “You can remember me sticking my foot in my mouth.”

Travis laughed.

Five minutes later, he joined her in the shower.

An hour later, she joined him at the gym.

Two hours later, they met up in the shower again.

About R.L. Kenderson:

R.L. Kenderson is two best friends writing under one name.

Renae has always loved reading, and in third grade, she wrote her first poem where she learned she might have a knack for this writing thing. Lara remembers sneaking her grandmother’s Harlequin novels when she was probably too young to be reading them, and since then, she knew she wanted to write her own.

When they met in college, they bonded over their love of reading and the TV show Charmed. What really spiced up their friendship was when Lara introduced Renae to romance novels. When they discovered their first vampire romance, they knew there would always be a special place in their hearts for paranormal romance. After being unable to find certain storylines and characteristics they wanted to read about in the hundreds of books they consumed, they decided to write their own.

One lives in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area and the other in the Kansas City area where they’re a sonographer/stay-at-home mom/wife and pharmacist/mother by day, and together they’re a sexy author by night. They communicate through phone, email, and whole lot of messaging.

You can find them at http://www.rlkenderson.com, Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr, Twitter, and Goodreads. Join their Facebook Reader Group. Or you can email them at rlkenderson@rlkenderson.com, or sign up for their newsletter here. They always love hearing from their readers.

Blurb:
It started as a simple search for a landscape designer…

I wanted a beautiful backyard for my new home and my neighbors suggested I look into Ward Landscaping & Design.

The owner had no pictures of himself on his website, just a portfolio of nice outdoor sitting areas, pools, and vibrant gardens that I’d always dreamed of having.

Of course I hired him.

I expected to meet an average guy, but Mr. Marcel Ward is far from your average man. He’s handsome, and well-built, and his smile—though a rare trait—is truly infectious.

He’s every woman’s dream—a handsome, older man who doesn’t mind getting down and dirty to create something beautiful all because of his passion for it.

Unfortunately that lucky woman can’t be me.

Although Mr. Ward tests my limits, quickens my breath, and makes my heart skip a beat when he’s around, I’ve promised to devote myself to my husband.

So why am I falling for a man I know I can’t have?

What can you expect?

– An Alpha Hero (who is a bit of an asshole 😉 )
– Super Steamy Scenes
– An Adorable Beagle Puppy
– SOOO MUCH ANGST

Blog Tour: Sunny Shelly Reviews 99% Faking It, by Chris Cannon

Title: 99% Faking It
Author: Chris Cannon
Genre: YA RomCom, Sweet Romance
Publisher: Entangled Teen
Publication Date: March 4th, 2019
Hosted by: Lady Amber’s PR

Blurb:
Lisa is a card-carrying, book-loving Gryffindor. Solid. And that’s why everyone knows she’s awesome. Well, except for her crush, Matt. He only ever sees her as a friend. Plus, he’s got his eye on another girl. Oh well, plenty of fish and all that.

Good thing Lisa just read a book on the “wedding ring phenomenon”—you get more attention when you’re already taken. What if Lisa pretends to be Matt’s plus one? Maybe it’ll help Matt get his girl and Lisa can hook her own fish.

After the plan works, Matt suddenly claims he doesn’t like the view from the friend-zone and wants her instead… But she isn’t interested in being anyone’s second choice. If this guy wants to earn her attention, he’ll need more than some silly “phenomenon.”

He’ll need to go all out…

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 4 Stars

A romance where a Harry Potter loving book nerd gets the guy! This was a relatively quick read, but packed quite a punch as far as YA best friend romances go.

The story is kind of predictable and checks all the boxes of the trope: she’s in love with her best friend, he doesn’t really see her as a datable girl, but when he pretends to date Lisa in order to catch the eye of the girl he really likes, Matt starts to see Lisa in a different light. But when Lisa doesn’t want to be anyone’s second choice, can Matt convince her that they belong together? Despite the predictability, this story was full of heart and humor. And Harry Potter! Loved that!

99% Faking It is the first book I’ve read by Chris Cannon. It’s a standalone in a series, and while the characters are interconnected, Matt and Lisa’s story does stand on it’s own.

I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.
