Star Struck was an fun read about a Hollywood diva, Heather, and the lowly carpenter, Seth, she meets on a job. Despite her insane attraction to Seth, Heather just can’t admit to herself that she’s actually interested in someone so *gasp* beneath her.

Except that he’s not.

Seth is actually a sought-after Production Designer, but when Heather goes all diva bitchy on him, he lets her keep her judgements. And makes some of his own about her in return. Because Seth and Heather’s backgrounds are so similar, they are actually perfect for one another.

What follows is a heartwarming tale of two people who eventually discover that it really is what is on the inside that matters. He’s been burned by his past, she’s ashamed of her roots. It gets a bit cliche at times in Star Struck, but don’t all romcoms? Laurelin Paige offers a solid story in Star Struck, complete with the heroine throwing a hissy fit because of the hero’s betrayal and his Grand Gesture to get her back.
