A Note from Ella:

To all my wonderful readers,

I know I had originally stated that TRUE (Temptation Series VI) would be released on January 2nd, and while that is a wonderful date, I find that I can’t keep these men and their happily ever after to myself any longer.

So today, as the cover of the sixth book in the Temptation Series is revealed so is the NEW RELEASE DATE: December 21st ❤ ❤

Just in time for a plane trip, or a car trip, or a time out over the Christmas holidays where you want to curl up with some fictional family members. Because what better way can I say Merry Christmas to you all than by giving you this book early?

MUAH,

Ella

Synopsis:

True – adjective: That which is accurate or exact.

I dare you to try.

I think you’re my truth.

Terrify me.

Marry me.

Marry me.

Marry me…

Four years ago, Logan Mitchell walked into Tate’s life and challenged him to see it differently.

He dared Tate to try a kiss, when normally he wouldn’t have.

He begged him to take a chance, when he probably shouldn’t have.

But most importantly, he asked Tate to trust that he would love him, and he did. From that moment on, Tate realized exactly what his life had been missing—Logan.

Happily-ever-afters come in many different forms. But for Tate Morrison, there’s only one ending he wants. The one where the guy marries the guy and true love conquers all.

Now all he has to do is tell Logan.

Join Logan and Tate as they finally realize what the rest of us knew all along. That they belong together for better or worse—always.

I’m the jokester, the one who pulls the best pranks. I’m the guy in the house who the frat brothers avoid for fear of what they’ll wake up to face the next day.
But now, the jokes on me. Literally on me! In BIG. BOLD. BLACK LETTERS!
A tattoo, of another guy’s name. I was branded, and no one else can know.
The problem is I don’t know how it got there? Who the hell is Blake? Worst of all why the F*ck did I have a guy’s name tattooed on my wrist to begin with? What could have possessed me?
I’ve done a lot of things, tortured a lot of my brothers, and I’ve loved every single minute of it.
I guess it’s payback.
The only things I remember are…dark hair, smelling of sweet honey and maybe something floral, soft hands, and the sweetest laugh.
So tell me, how I can get from a memory like that, to waking up in the backyard beside the pool, with a F*ucking tattoo? Of a dude’s name?

attractive girl in a bar with shot of alcohol

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 4 Stars

Just One Taste was an adorable young adult story. Elijah and Cat are college students — she has a horrible home life, and he’s a player both on the football field and off. But from the moment Eli spots Cat working at the local pizza joint, he knows he needs to have just one taste of her.

The characters are relatable, and their connection is so sweet. Eli really is more than the cocky athlete we first meet. The reader gets to see the gentle giant that Cat falls in love with, and their relationship unfolds at a nice pace. By the time Cat and Eli get to The Conflict, I was so invested in them as a couple, and got all the feels as they worked their way through his reaction to the lie she’d been keeping.

I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

EXCERPT:
Ever had this feeling like you’re being watched? Like each move you make is being analyzed, dissected, and documented for later use?

No?

Well, I have. It was a lingering feeling ever since the moment I’d been challenged by Clayton. Everywhere I turned there he was.

The guy was a god damned freak, watching me out of the corner of his eye, silently observing. It was annoying and if the asshole expected me to get a buzz he’d need to quit killing the effects of the tequila. With each shot his beady little eyes became an instant sober alert.

“Why are you watching the twin so closely?”

I looked down to my left into the curious eyes of Xavier’s girl, Morgan. It was part of being so much taller than everyone else, and it didn’t help that she was a short little thing either. “The twin?” I asked with a smirk.

“Yeah,” she shrugged, “I still have no clue how to tell which one is which.”

“Corbin has a freckle on his upper —”

She holds up her hand to stop me. “Truly, I don’t care. I’ll still call them twin one and two.” Did I mention she was a sassy little shit too?

I wrapped my arm around her shoulder, fully expecting her to gut punch me as I dragged her toward her boy. Xavier saw us coming and immediately stepped away from the group of people he was talking to in order to pull her away and out of my hold.

I chuckled, knowing just how much he hated for any of us to touch her, even if it was only the simplest of ways. Most of us did it often just to irritate the piss out of him.

“Occupy your girl, she’s getting nosy.”

I turned to walk away, feeling something collide with the back of my head. I looked back just in time to see an empty plastic water bottle bounce along the floor before rolling to a stop only a few inches away from Morgan’s feet.

X chuckled as Morgan crossed her arms, challenging me in what I could only assume was some form of some girly stand – off. She’d been around for some time now and was beginning to act like her man. “I’m not nosy.”

“What do you call it then?”

“Curious.”

“Same thing, and shit like that gets people thrown in pools.”

“Are you threatening me?” She uncrossed her arms and placed them on her hips.

I was just about to take a chance of being pummeled by my brother for throwing his crazy ass girl in the pool when I noticed another girl step closer to Morgan’s side. It was the brunette from Porter’s Pizza. The same brunette I’d seen in the place almost every time I visited, yet still didn’t know her name. I had seen her often, and fuck, the girl made me weak in the knees; that shit never happened to me.

I did, however, enjoy observing her from afar. I knew this — I’d consumed more pizza over the last few weeks than I had in the last few years combined. I also knew the way her cheeks reddened when a man openly flirted with her; I had done that a hundred times it seemed but still hadn’t been formally introduced.

I was intrigued by her, mesmerized even.

I was feeling a little free tonight though so that might change.

I watched as she continued looking between Morgan and me, and the last thing I wanted was for her to witness the pool dunk and think I was some dick. So instead I looked back toward Morgan and answered her question from earlier. “Clayton,” I say, pointing toward the beady – eyed fucker who was still watching me, “thinks he can outdo me. He’s the Sober Brother tonight and apparently, he thinks that he can pull the mother of all pranks.”

“So, he’s planning on coming up with something bigger than permanent marker dicks on someone’s face, nipple piercings, naked twins on front porches, and blue dye in body wash?” She holds up her hands, counting off each item she named on her fingers.

“The blue dye was me, babe,” Xavier corrected her and she waved him off.

“Yeah, that’s the plan.”

She looks behind her toward Clayton and he nods in agreement. “Well, this party may be worth staying at until the end just to see you suffer, Red. Payback is a bitch and these guys have a whole lot to give back.”

That they did, but I wasn’t worried.

“You actually pierced someone’s nipples?” The brunette asked that question as she wrinkled up her nose in confusion.

“Yep,” Xavier announced before I could and grabbed the hem of his shirt to lift it and exposed the piercings he still wore. That was a prank that backfired; who knew the guy would have loved them? It was almost the same situation I had with my Prince Albert when I let my best friend convince me to get it done after our high school graduation. It turned out to be one of the craziest and most pleasurable things I had done, or so I’d been told. It was a secret I’d managed to keep hidden so far.

“You did that?” I watch as the girl observed Xavier and suddenly I wanted to grab the shirt he still held high and pull it down.

“I did,” I said, regaining her attention. “Why? You want yours done?”

Sunny Shelly’s Review: Never Again, by Lilliana Anderson

Title: Never Again
Author: Lilliana Anderson
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: December 14, 2017
Blurb
Not even a year after marrying the guy she’d thought was the
love of her life, Cora Knowles is already requesting a divorce. To her
recollection, philandering was not a part of her wedding vows, and she wasn’t
about to stand by while ‘Sally from accounts’ rolled about on her Egyptian
cotton sheets.
While trying to soothe her broken heart with copious amounts
of cake and liqueur chocolates, her best friend, Olivia suggests that the best
way to get over someone, is to get under someone else. Problems arise when the
one Cora ‘gets under’ turns out to be the son of the Director of
Prosecution—her boss. Worse still, he’s young. Younger than Cora originally
thought, and younger than she’s comfortable with.
But, when the attraction is undeniable, Cora needs to decide
whether she’ll turn her back on the enigmatic Brandon Sharp, or take a risk and
follow her heart, even though she promised herself she’d never do that again…

 Sunny Shelly’s Review: 5 Stars

Wow. Just wow.

Lilliana’s 47 Things and One More Thing are absolutely two of my favorite books. I didn’t know what to expect from Never Again — it was completely different, but just as amazing. Cora and Brandon’s story captivated me from the first moment they met, and it only got better once their paths crossed again in her office.

Despite their age difference, Bran is absolutely head over heels enamored with Cora. I loved the way he took charge when they were behind closed doors, and how he lifted her spirits and boosted her confidence after her divorce. Their love story wasn’t without complications, but it was epic.

The story is well-paced, the main characters are fully developed and relatable, and the support system that Cora has in best friend Olivia is amazing.

I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

Excerpt
“Hashtag that one ‘slaying life’,” Olivia
suggested. “That bastard will see how happy you look and realise how badly
he fucked up.” She sucked back on a cigarette then blew the smoke out in a
rush. “Come to think of it. We need to go out tonight. That will really piss
him off. You can post photos and everything.”
“Go out?” The idea seemed completely insane to me.
She stubbed out her cigarette in a small aluminium ashtray.
“Yes, Cora. I love you, and I think you’re gorgeous, but lying on my couch for
months on end, eating liqueur chocolates while watching Netflix isn’t doing a
thing for your figure.”
“Jack always said that saying ‘but’ meant you could discount
everything that was said before it.”
She picked up her Prada handbag and slid it over her arm.
“Fuck Jack. You should discount everything he ever said to you before the
moment you saw his butt as he pumped that Sally woman from behind in your
marital bed.”
My stomach soured at the memory. “Don’t remind me.”
He didn’t speak at first, he just slid one hand over my hip
until it flattened possessively against my stomach, pulling me against him as
his head lowered to the curve of my neck and he inhaled deeply. I could barely
breathe. Every nerve in my body was alive and screaming for more. I had never,
ever, ever, ever, ever, had this reaction to a man before. The question of
whether or not I could go through with a one-night stand suddenly became a moot
point. His touch had already melted my panties right off.
“Want to get out of here?” His voice cut through every other
sound in the room, so clear. It felt like a wild promise curling through my
body until it pooled as a heat between my thighs.
His head lolled back against the wall as my hand wrapped
around his base before I drew him into my mouth, swallowing him back with a
greed I never knew I possessed. Who was this woman? I was giving head like a
porn star on my knees in a hotel room with a stranger.
I’d never felt so free in my entire life.
He was on his knees. I was still against the wall, panting,
waiting. Reaching up, he popped the clasp on my bra then dragged his fingers
down the skin of my back, hooking my panties, dragging them down too. Then with
a groan, he grabbed my arse cheeks, squeezing hard before he bit down. My eyes
went wide and I gasped, a bolt of lust landing right in the centre of my core.
What the hell was that?
“That arse.” The words were a rumble against my skin as he
stood back up, spinning me so I was facing him again. I let my bra fall down my
arms and his eyes darkened. “Those tits.”

Sunny Shelly’s Review: Nowhere Girl, by Fiona Keane

Nowhere Girl BT BANNER.jpg

NOWHERE GIRL by Fiona Keane is LIVE!
YA ROMANCE | FOUNDLINGS SERIES #1

Pageflex Persona [document: PRS0000447_00006]

Sophia…
They thought sending me to this supposed tropical paradise would keep me safe. But there’s no place safe for me now. Not when the memories won’t leave me alone.
I didn’t know what the universe had in store for me, but I definitely didn’t expect Jameson Burke. People think he has more secrets than I do, but he showed me his true self – his smile, his thoughtfulness, his love.
I can’t afford to fall so far, so deep. Not after what happened. I should run, but somehow my heart keeps coming back to him…
Jameson…
I had my own reasons to run. Little did I know the most important piece of my story started and ended with the quiet girl sitting next to me in seventh period.
Sophia Reid’s shy smile brought my soul out of hiding. Through her, I learned what starting over really means.
But if I give in to this love, I’ll put us both in danger.
For a short time, I was whole again, but what they say is right. The old me is dead, and the new one will never know love again.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 4 Stars

Nowhere Girl is a YA novel, but it is so full of heart. These two incredibly broken characters, Jameson and Sophia, each have been through some major trauma, and there is an immediate connection between them.

We get more of Sophia’s story than we do of Jameson’s, and that is part of what made me wanting to keep on reading just one more chapter. Why is he so secretive? What happened to him? Why is he being forbidden by his aunt and uncle to date her? How will his past destroy her? I need to know!

I found the main characters to be well-developed, but felt that there were a few too many supporting players in the high school circle. Also, there were a few sections that I skimmed through — unnecessary exposition or details that I didn’t find were crucial to telling Jameson and Sophia’s story. But overall, this book was such a page-turner. And when it ended? I threw my kindle down! I did not know that it was a cliffhanger! Thankfully, the second and third installments are coming very soon so I can find out what happens next with Jameson and Soph! I need to know what his “story” is.

I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

I was going
to throw up from the nerves.
No, I told myself. No throwing up. Not
when you’re expecting Sam to come into your room any second.
But the
feeling was so strong. I popped a mint from my bedside table in my mouth, rolled
it around my tongue a few times, but the urge was still there.
Oh, shit.
Was this a mistake? Was inviting Sam into my room a big fat problem? I was
leaving for America tomorrow.
The printed
itinerary, neatly stacked on my chest of drawers laughed at me. What was I
going to do? I couldn’t let Sam come up here.
My hands
fisted in my hair as I berated myself for telling him to come. What was I
thinking? I wasn’t some sexual nymph, skilled in the way Sam surely was. I
wasn’t a virgin, but I hadn’t actually messed around with a bunch of guys.
I didn’t
know what to do.
I walked to
the door, pressed my palm flat to it. I’d lock it. Then he couldn’t come in.
He’d walk away, and we’d forget this ever happened.
Look how well that happened the last time you
kissed him,
my
memory taunted me. Three years later, and
you’re still wondering ‘what if.’
There was
no reasonable escape from this situation. And, if there was, there was no
escape that would make me not obsess over the ‘what if.’
It’d be
okay, I told myself. Of course it would. Sex was nothing, right?
But I
didn’t even believe my own thoughts. My nerves battled with my own desire. I
couldn’t process a single thing.
I ran my
fingers over my eyebrows or, what was left of them that wasn’t colored in, at
least. I’d pulled so many out in the days leading up to the trip, needing some
control over this impending trip.
I trailed
my fingers to the sides of my face, tugging on my earlobes to ground me, and
then, in tandem, I pulled out a hair with each hand. The immediate relief was
nearly as intoxicating as the alcohol I’d consume in how it numbed my fears.
It would be
okay.
I took in a
cleansing breath, looking around my room for anything potentially embarrassing.
The blinds
were open, so I closed them, leaving my room in soft, muted grays aside from
the yellow lamp that lit up my dressing table.
My hand was
on the back of the lamp to turn it off when my door creaked open.
Sam stood
in the threshold, nearly taking up the entire space.
I switched
the light off.
It was only
a few loud heartbeats before he said, “Turn it back on.”
I
hesitated.
I couldn’t
see him, but I heard the creak on the floor by the door. “Turn it on, Lotte.”
Swallowing
hard, I did.
The room
was illuminated again in soft light, casting shadows into the angles of Sam’s
face—making him look exactly as he was: dangerous.

Author Bio

I am a wife to one and a mom to two humans and one cat. I have a deep and abiding love for nachos – especially the kind with the liquid cheese, like from Taco Bell (sorry). I run on less than four hours of sleep thanks to copious amounts of Diet Coke. (Note: this paragraph is not sponsored by anyone except my hungry stomach.)
As a Navy brat, I grew up all over the country, from California and up the east coast from Florida to New England and Colorado. I currently live in Idaho, where we have lots of potatoes and windmills.
I write character-driven contemporary romance novels, heavy on the emotional connection. I LOVE love. I love writing about broken characters who find their soul mates.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: If Love Was Fair, by Savannah Stewart

Title: If Love Was Fair
Author: Savannah Stewart
Genre: Contemporary Romance

Release Date: December 12, 2017

Blurb
Life wasn’t fair…and I’d learned that on far too many occasions.
Arbor Kenton had one goal, to flee the toxicity of her hometown. She’d thrown a
dart at a map and decided wherever it landed she would move without hesitation.

One night was all she had left before she’d hit the road and never look
back. But little did she know just how life altering that night would be.
I know I can’t ask you to stay, and you wouldn’t ask me to leave.
Colin Banks was an aspiring musician traveling from town to town
looking for his big break.
One night in a new town would end up shaking the once firm foundation
of his dreams. What he didn’t foresee is what that night would end up meaning
to him.
If love was fair, so much would be different.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 3 Stars

The concept of If Love Was Fair was good, but I didn’t feel that the execution of the story made it a gripping, stays-with-you read for me. I just didn’t feel the instalove between Colin and Arbor, and the time jumps in the story were a bit disjointed at times.

That said, I enjoyed the second chance romance aspect, and how the one night they spent together left such a mark on both Arbor and Colin. When they were with one another, I got all the feels. But I wanted more from her time away from Colin to show me as the reader that he was The One for her. A big pet peeve of mine is being told, rather than shown, and I just didn’t get that I was being shown how deep Colin and Arbor’s connection was.

I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.
