BLURB

What happens when the boy you’ve wanted your whole life finally wants you back?

I’m used to taking what I want, being the best at what I do. During the day, I make big bucks as New York’s premiere consultant. At night, I can get any girl I lay my eyes on. I thought this life was what I wanted: working hard and playing harder–with penthouse apartments, luxury cars and bottle service every weekend. After six years in the city, I know I’ve been living like a monster for too long. I need to get my act together. I need to find something real. I need to come home.

LA means family and a fresh start. My parents and my friends who are close enough to be siblings.

And Melina.

Melina is nerdy smart, with a challenging sense of humor and legs for miles. It’s so hard to describe her…enigmatically beautiful. I’m sure there’s a word for it in French. But I know there’s a naughty girl hiding behind that shy smile that I’m dying to drag out.

There was always something between us. I never forgot her laugh, never could get her off my mind. Nobody ever seemed to notice how my body would react when I was near Melina, how much more focused I became—maybe not even Melina herself. But this time it’s different.

The more time we spend together, the more I wonder if there was something there all along. After so long in the fast lane, I don’t know if I can handle settling down. But seeing Melina’s passion, I’m tempted beyond belief.

I have to admit it: temptation is hard to resist.

EXCLUSIVE EXCERPT:

“You’ve burnt the burgers.” Liddy scowled over Jordan’s shoulder as she cooked the meat on the grill.

“No, I didn’t. They’re well-done.”

“More like hockey pucks.” Sam set the plates of potato salad and fruit on the patio table. “Please, tell me that wasn’t all the beef we bought.”

“No,” she replied as she lifted one on her spatula. “This one here is okay.”

Sam peered over Jordan’s arm. The third burger she referenced wasn’t quite as black as the other two. But still not acceptable by her standards.

“How many patties do we have left? We need to start over.”

Jordan huffed, and switched off the burners. “Fine. Don’t touch anything, and I’ll fix this.” She sprinted over, and knocked on Chase’s back door.

Sam stared at the burned beef. Eat overcooked burgers, or face him again?

Before she had time to process her preference, Jordan returned with Chase in tow. Freshly showered from his morning yard work, and dressed in a pair of cargo shorts and a gray T-shirt, not to mention that delectable smile.

“Jordan tells me you need help with some meat.”

Liddy snorted. Jordan giggled.

Sam met his smirk head on. “Jordan doesn’t know how to handle prime beef.”

That made his grin widen, and even brought a small blush to his cheeks. “What a shame. Mind if I . . . ?”

“Only if you agree to stay for lunch.” Jordan gave Sam a discreet smile.

“How can I refuse an invitation from three women in distress?”

My mind
skitters to her face—her beautiful fucking face—and the way she stared at me
with those wide eyes and her lips lightly parted. Those lips. She has Angelina
Jolie lips. Scarlett Johanssen lips. Liv-fucking-Tyler from the “Crazy” video
lips. Except this chick doesn’t look like Liv. She’s got blonde hair and a
perfect pout like Alicia Silverstone. I remember the beginning of that video
when our girl, Alicia, climbs out a bathroom window in her Catholic school
uniform, her skirt riding up to show her black lace panties…and ahhh, yes, I
feel my cock twitch just picturing it.
Fuck my
life.
Shit. Shit. Shit.
Because
yeah, I was yelling at Jock, but she was standing behind him, and I didn’t miss
the tight lines of her teenaged body under a pair of new jeans and a
long-sleeved T-shirt. Her rounded tits strained just a little against the
fabric of her top. Not enough to be dirty. Just enough to hate her. Because no
guy alive—least of all me—has a right to want someone like her. Or sure, we can
want her, but we’ll never have her.
Not in a million years.
She looked to be about Noelle’s
age—somewhere between eighteen and twenty, and ridiculously young to suddenly
arrive alone in the middle of nowhere, put up in an old farmhouse by a couple
of aging queens.
How in the fuck is this her best option?
Who is she?
And what exactly is her deal?
I grimace
because the headlines of her story—the easy parts—start materializing as I
think about what I know about her. I didn’t do all that training for nothing.
Plus, I have good instincts. I could practically smell it on her—the fear, the
desperation, the way she wouldn’t meet me eyes except to insist that she was an
adult.
God, what a joke. If she’s an adult, I’m a
French poodle.
Then
something occurs to me: it was Jock’s boyfriend, Gus, who gave away the most
important part of her story away.
She has nowhere else to go.
And then
something else occurs to me, and I wonder, Is
she in hiding?
This
girl—what’s her name? Amber? Audrey?—is in trouble. Big trouble. The kind of trouble that gets other people in hot
water when they were just trying to live their lives and mind their own
business. And she’s been dumped on my doorstep. Literally.

New Release: When Light Leads To You, by C.R. Ellis

Today C.R. Ellis is here today to share her new release, WHEN LIGHT LEADS TO YOU! Check it out and be sure to grab your copy today!

Title: WHEN LIGHT LEADS TO YOU

Author: C.R. Ellis

Genre: Contemporary Romance

About WHEN LIGHT LEADS TO YOU:

JASMINE
Once upon a time, there was a girl who had a crush on a boy. Eventually, they fell in love. They lived happily ever after.

Except they didn’t. Not even close.
I’m the girl, but that’s not my story.

Once upon a time, I fell for a boy, but we didn’t have a happily ever after. In fact, we crashed and burned. Which turned out to be for the best because it forced me to grow up and realize the only wedding bells in my future are the ones I orchestrate for clients.

For six years I’ve been perfectly content with meaningless, short-lived flings and running from anything that resembles a real relationship.

That boy?
He’s my best friend’s brother, and he’s no longer the boy I fell for—he’s a man I can’t stand.

Oh, and he’s also my new neighbor.

DEAN
Seemingly overnight, Jasmine Winters went from being my sister’s best friend to being the girl I couldn’t get enough of. But like most good things, it didn’t last.

Things fell apart so suddenly, I’m able to convince myself that summer never happened. At least, I was, until the only distance between us is a hallway instead of a time zone.

Six years ago, I let Jasmine slip through my fingers without an explanation because I was convinced we’d be better off apart. But now that we’re neighbors, our unspoken vow of apathy has unwittingly been shattered. Our exchanges consist of trading insults and icy stare downs. But in-between, I catch glimpses of the way she used to look at me, glimpses of the girl I fell for years ago.

Things are different now, though. This time… I won’t let her walk away without giving me answers.

When Light Leads to You is the second full-length novel of the Forget Me Knot series, but can be read as a standalone. **Due to strong language and the sexy times between these two, this book is recommended to readers ages 18 and up.**

Read WHY STARS CHASE THE SUN!

Exclusive Excerpt:

Somehow, I didn’t feel an inkling of a hangover. In fact, I wasn’t even sleepy. My eyes had adjusted to the darkness enough to make out Dean’s toned, bulky figure. Studying the gorgeous man next to me was enough to clear the last traces of sleepiness from my brain. I scooted closer to Dean, planning to subtly wake him.

By any means necessary.

My fingers trailed down his abdomen and traced figure eights on the soft skin in the crevice created by the perfect V-shape extending from his boxers.

I leaned into his body and ran my tongue along his neck.

“Did you just lick me?” he asked, his voice groggy as he stirred awake.

“Maybe.”

“Why?”

“Just checking to see if you taste like seduction, too,” I responded with a grin.

He laughed. “And? What’s the verdict?”

I launched my body on top of his, peppering his neck with quick kisses.

“So…that’s a yes, then?”

“Shut up and kiss me, you cocky idiot,” I said, pressing my hips into his.

“There’s the morning Jasmine charm I was expecting.”

I laughed into our kiss, but it was short-lived when he lifted his hands and cupped my face, holding me in place so he could keep our kiss going. When Dean kissed me, I didn’t see stars. I saw red. I felt colors the same way some people felt sparks. It was a strange way to describe the emotions rushing through me, but it’s the only thing that felt remotely accurate. It was the closest thing to complete happiness I’d ever felt.

Without warning, he moved his hands down and gripped my torso, rolling us over so that he’d be on top of me. “How’re you feeling? How foggy is your memory of last night?” he asked.

“Never felt better. And, drunk or not, my memory’s a steel trap, baby. It’s all there. Are we really doing this?”

“Oh, we’re doing this. Right here, in my bed,” he answered between kisses against my throat.

I chuckled to cover up the shiver his lips sent racing through me. “Well, yeah, I know we’re doing that. But I meant—”

He cut me off with a kiss. “I know what you meant. That answer is the same. We’re doing all of it, Jas. No bullshit. No regrets this time.”

“No regrets,” I echoed.

Dean pushed back on his forearms to pull his knees up and straddle me. I ran my hands over his abs before reaching for my favorite part of him, and he reached for the hem of my shirt, gripping it tightly in both hands.

Instead of pulling it over my head, he swiftly ripped it all the way down the middle until it was wide open.

Holy shit.

It was unquestionably the hottest thing I’d ever seen.

Without missing a beat, he dropped down to focus all his attention on my tits. Like he hadn’t just shredded a shirt with his bare hands.

“You…just…ripped your own shirt,” I stated breathily, weaving my fingers through his hair to pull him back. I didn’t even care that I was practically panting. I’d never been more turned on in my life.

“I have others,” he said, leaning forward to trail kisses across my collar bone. “What I don’t have right now is patience.”

Jamie:

I drink.
I party.
I’ll let you guess what else I do the best and they never get any seconds with me. One and done.
The choices I make guarantee I’m never the one left behind.
I say and do what I want with no regrets; now I’m ordered to attend anger management to keep my job.
The problem? My failure of a one night stand is now running the group, but I’ve spent my time running and avoiding him at any cost.

Gavin:
My job, my house, my car…my life is exactly how I want it to be except in the relationship department. Jamie has a ridiculous one and done rule. I know one taste will never be enough. If she thinks this is over, she has never been more wrong.

I’m determined to prove to her that rules were made to be broken and that we are worth breaking them.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 4 Stars

Worthy is a wonderful story about finding love where you least expect it, and accepting that you are worthy of all that love has to offer. Jamie is a spunky heroine, but she’s such a broken soul. She keeps everyone at a distance, and only does one-night stands. But Gavin knows that she is worth the wait, and he goes after what he wants, slowly breaking down her walls and proving to Jamie that she is worth more than the baggage that her parents left her with when they abandoned her.

The romance between the two is a slow burn, but once they get there, they are on fire.

I have not read Stronger, the previous book before Worthy, but I did not feel like that took away from my enjoyment of this story.

I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

EXCERPT

Gavin comes out of the bathroom with a towel around his waist and droplets of water coming down his tanned back. I could effortlessly masturbate to the sight of him but, once again, not enough time in the schedule. I start to get pissed and, before I know it, I’m slamming the coffee cups on the counter.

 “Jamie, what’s going on?”

“Nothing really, I’m just upset we don’t have time this morning.”

“Why do we need more time? You look ready for work.”

“I wanted to make an excellent breakfast today.”

Gavin walks into the kitchen, his towel still around his waist. “I think there is more to it.” He walks up to me, leaving no distance between us. The towel is barely hanging on, and I’m thoroughly distracted. “Jamie, is there something more?” He pushes his body up to me, and I can feel his dick through his towel. He drops his towel and places both hands on my breasts, massaging them.

“Fuck.” I step away from him.

Gavin chuckles. “Now, I just gave you a reason to come back.” He picks up his towel and walks to his bedroom to get ready for the day.  I think Gavin Rodgers just one-upped me.

I manage to eat my bagel, and I place my bag in front of the door. I’m a little bit disappointed, to tell you the truth. Feeling this way puts things in perspective. Gavin makes me want more, and I know from experience that I will end up being hurt.

Gavin stands for everything that I’m not. He is the white picket fence, and I’m the dilapidated house in the hood. The clarity of the moment is precisely what I needed, but not necessarily what I wanted. I tidy up the kitchen, making sure I leave no mess for Gavin or his housekeeper to clean up.

“Ready to head out,” he says. “We can stop at Starbucks to get some coffee to take to work?”

I look down at my phone, double checking the time. I’m ready to get out of here. “Sure, I think we have enough time. Just promise me we won’t be late for work.”

“I promise to have you at work on time, and no funny business, ma’am.” I could easily get distracted by this man this morning. He is wearing black dress pants, a white dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up on his forearms, and a fancy pair of Italian dress shoes. I love how a guy’s hair takes no effort. Gavin’s hair looks like he just put his hands through it.  Yet, it’s perfection.  He picks up my bag and heads out to his car.

Release Blitz: Hate To Crave You, by Bella Love-Wins

Feuding families.
Enemies to lovers.
Diamonds at every turn.

Off-the-charts chemistry that neither of them was expecting.

Roman is a tall, gorgeous, and arrogant tycoon who wants to make a name for himself and step out from under his father’s control. He meets his match when he seduces his sultry and curvy rival, Juliana, to get the upper hand on a business deal.

Their business? All about the D… as in diamonds.

Now, he’s about to find out that sometimes, faking it can turn into something real. And when it does, he’s the one who won’t want to let go.

An intensely sinful full-length standalone romance. Hate to Crave You is a modern spin on Romeo and Juliet with twists, turns, and a happily ever after ending that’ll steal your heart, from Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author, Bella Love-Wins.

Prologue

Roman

Present Day

She stood at the side of his bed, her brown doe eyes big and wide, pleading up at him for forgiveness, begging for what they used to have to stay the same.
It was too fucking late for that.
She had another thing coming if she thought this time would be like the last.
He wasn’t going to be soft or gentle.
Not after what she’d done to his heart.
He gave her shoulders a shove, pushing her onto the bed. As he got in beside her, he flipped her onto her stomach and tugged down the zipper of the rich red strapless ball gown she had worn to whatever event she was at earlier in the evening. The force of his movement caused a small tear where the zipper stopped, and he felt a hint of satisfaction.
I ruined her dress.
Like she ruined us.
Turning her onto her back, he dragged the dress off of her completely. He used to love staring at her delicate lines and creamy skin. Under the soft light glowing in through the windows at night, she’d always been perfection.
But now, he couldn’t stand to look at her beauty. Not when he knew her own flesh and blood had a hand in turning him into the bad guy. Now, she was just like every other woman who had an agenda when they climbed into his bed.
Her legs parted slightly and he ripped her silky panties off her hips. He did the same with her bra next, and lowered to one breast, sucking her nipple in between his lips. He flicked his tongue across her puckered flesh. She writhed under him, panting for breath, and he threw the shredded fabric clear across the room when he remembered why he was here.
It was to use her perfect fucking body.
To break her.
Like she’d done to him.
She stared up at him, bare, vulnerable. She was filled with lust, but there was a bit of something else in her gaze.
Fear.
Good.
She fucking should be afraid.
Her breath hitched as he grazed callused palms up the sides of her legs. Stopping at her waist, he turned her onto her stomach and raised her ass high into air. Yes, he fucking wanted her, but he was done staring at that face, and those lips that spun lies with such ease.
“Roman,” she whispered his name on a breath.
Undoing his belt buckle, he unbuttoned the waistband, lowered his zipper, and found the strip of three condoms in the pocket of his slacks. He planned on using these up on her tonight.
I’ll fuck her.
Then I’ll do it again, and once more to make her raw before I send her on her way.
He wanted her to remember what it felt like to be owned one minute and discarded the next.
Desired then tossed away.
Trusted then betrayed.
She needed to feel it.
He released his raging erection and gave it a tug. He was almost angry at the sight of a bead of precum at the tip, because it was for her. He silently told himself that he might have been hard as fuck for her, but she didn’t own him. Not after what she’d done. He rolled a condom on, and with a feather light touch, slid a hand across her stomach and down between the tops of her thighs. Cupping her mound, he was rough and abrupt when he curved two thick fingers between her hot folds.
With a hiss of a sigh, she pressed her backside onto his groin. Her tight walls rode his fingers, sucking them into her while grinding her ass against his swollen, rigid cock.
She wanted more.
Needed it.
And fuck, she would get it like an animal needing to scratch an itch. But it wouldn’t mean a thing. Not like it could have.
He palmed her ass cheek and spread them apart, positioning the tip at her slick, glistening center. He dragged his length along her folds, teasing her, extending her anticipation, driving her need so high that she begged for it.
“Please,” she hummed.
“Please what?” he asked.
“Please fuck me, Roman… I need you… Don’t make me wait.”
He smiled a little, knowing that he had her where he wanted her.
She needs me.
But I’m done needing her.
This is just damn good sex now that she shredded me.
She just doesn’t know it yet.
“I want you… so bad,” she called out on a breathy whimper.
It had only been a couple of days since the last time he’d taken her, but tonight was the first time he’d fuck her. This time, he felt nothing.
Just a dull numbness in his heart and anger around his chest.
“How bad?” he asked her on a raspy groan that reminded him how fucking bad he wanted her too.
“So bad, baby… I can’t do without—”
Before she finished her sentence, he sank balls deep into her tightness, entering with a sharp jerk she hadn’t expected. Fuck, she felt so fucking good, so tight and wet around him.
She gripped fistfuls of the bedsheets as he pounded into her, her face now buried into the mattress. He was relentless. One hand dug dull fingernails into her hips while the other anchored her to him from the nape of her neck. He claimed and reclaimed every inch of her, making sure she came for him a few times before he threw her away. Both were sure to leave a mark that would last longer than ever. Good.
Soon, the fused scent of their sweat and her arousal, and the sound of her screams and their slick skin slapping together overtook all his thoughts. Pleasure rolled through him as he fucked her and his rage into oblivion. And when he was done, he climbed off of her, cleaned up in the bathroom, rolled on another condom, and started again.
She wouldn’t be able to shake the memory of tonight once he was done with her. She’d be fucking ruined. And after that, when she realized what she lost, she’d be gutted.
Like she’d done to him.

Blog Tour: Sunny Shelly Reviews Four Day Fling, by Emma Hart

blogtour.jpg

Four Day Fling, an all-new hilarious and romantic standalone from New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Emma Hart is available NOW!

FOURDAYFLING3

Imagine this.

You’re ready to leave after a one-night stand, and you’re figuring out how to—shock horror—leave your number and ask him to be your fake boyfriend for your sister’s wedding this weekend.

When he wakes up.

Well, that happened to me. And over coffee and omelets, I found myself a date.

Which was how I ended up arriving at the wedding with a guy I knew nothing about.

I didn’t know his last name, or how we met, or how long we’d been dating. I didn’t know where he grew up, what he’d majored in in college, or how many siblings he had.

I sure as hell didn’t know he was Adam Winters, hotshot hockey player, and not only my father’s favorite player, but my little nephew’s freakin’ idol.

Which means I’m in trouble. Big, big trouble.

My mother is suspicious, my sister is bridezilla on crack, and my grandpa will tell anyone who’ll listen about his time in Amsterdam’s Red Light District.

Four days.

I have to keep this up for four days, and then Adam and I can return to our regular lives, where we don’t have sex whenever we’re alone, and my family aren’t interrogating him over his intentions with me.

At least, that’s the plan.

And we all know what happens to those.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 5 Stars

Don’t miss Four Day Fling! Fake relationship books can be hit or miss, but Four Day Fling is absolutely perfect! It’s funny, it’s witty, it’s full of great secondary characters, and the pull between Adam and Poppy is magnificent!

I love that the book opens the morning after a one-night-stand, and neither of them remember the other’s name. Things just get better from there when Poppy asks Adam to be her date to her sister’s wedding the following weekend — only to find out when she’s immersed them both into the crazy that he is the favorite hockey god of both her dad and nephew.

Every time I thought things couldn’t get more awkward — or more ridiculous with Poppy’s out of control family — they did! But none of it felt forced, despite the hella awkward situations Poppy finds herself in over and over again. There is a great flow to the storyline, and I was screaming at my kindle for these two to just confess the way they were really feeling before their four-day weekend was over.

Four Day Fling is a light and easy read, highly entertaining and full of laugh-out-loud moments. Don’t miss this one! I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: Beyond The Bases, by Kaylee Ryan

Title: Beyond the Bases
Author: Kaylee Ryan

Genre: New Adult

Release Date: July 31, 2018

Blurb
What happens when you want more in life than just running
the bases?

You hang out at home plate and stop playing the field.

He’s sexy and irresistible. I’ve done my best to ignore the
magnetism that flows between us. I don’t need complications in my life. I can’t
get wrapped up in his world, the last thing I need is to get attached to a
professional athlete. I don’t have time for heartbreak.

Something about her pulls me in. I want to get to know her. I want a chance to
show her I’m more than just my career, my paycheck. I’m the man for her. I know
I am. No matter how much she resists this connection between us. It doesn’t
change the fact that she’s my grand slam.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 4 Stars

Beyond The Bases was such a cute — if not predictable — story. If you are looking for a cheery, low-angst, feel-good romance, then definitely check this one out!

Widowed single mom Larissa is trying to hold it together, between working, finishing school, and raising her precocious 4 year old, Paisley. When she meets pro baseball player Easton, she’s attracted to him, but doesn’t have room in her life for the complications that a relationship bring. But Easton is immediately smitten with Larissa, and sets out to prove to her that he may play baseball and be one of Tennessee’s most eligible bachelors, but he is not a player.

Their relationship develops at a nice pace, with no outside drama involved. Easton falls as much in love with Princess Paisley as he does her mom, and I loved the parallels between his childhood and his relationship with Larissa. The best part about this book were the multiple epilogues, giving us a look at the family’s HEA years and years and years later.

I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

Blurb:

The first time I met Ian Kemp in the sparkling blue waters of St. Thomas, I was six years old and we shared a summer beneath the stars.
The second time I met Ian Kemp, he was a shell of the boy I once knew. Turbulent and infuriating, he refused my friendship at every turn. Like me, he was a casualty of life’s cruelty, but we were planets apart.
We’d both sought refuge on the island, hoping to find our anchor. Instead, we found each other and managed to reclaim our stars…until we both got swept away.

About the Author:

A Texas native, Kate Stewart lives in North Carolina with her husband, Nick, and her naughty beagle, Sadie. Sunny Shelly’s Review: Moore Than A Feeling, by Julie A. Richman

Just when you thought there wasn’t any MOORE…

From USA Today bestselling author Julie A. Richman, comes a companion title to her Needing Moore series, MOORE THAN A FEELING. Order your copy of MOORE THAN A FEELING today!

About MOORE THAN A FEELING:

“Holly and Aiden broke up? Seriously? No way. Not those two.”

Dumped.
No, not only dumped.
Blindsided and dumped.

I thought that Aiden McManus was my forever, my soulmate,
That was until he told me he was still in love with his ex.

I didn’t want to believe him.
So, I convinced myself that our break-up was because of his upcoming deployment,
and not because he didn’t love me.
Believing that, helped me get through those first months.

But after a while, I realized I just might be lying to myself.
And it was time to move on…

So, I moved on. Or tried to move on, anyway.
But that didn’t work out so well for me, either.
And it practically got me disowned from my family.

After that, I finally started to get my life back together,
I had everything back under control…
…Or so I thought.

Until I found out Aiden was back

And now he’s everywhere I turn,
Still pushing me away,
telling me he doesn’t want me.

But every time he calls me Angel or reaches out to touch my cheek,
I know what he’s not admitting to himself –
He still loves me.

And I’m going to prove it to him.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 4 Stars

This was a great follow-up to Richman’s Something Moore series. Although the main focus of the book is Schooner’s daughter, Holly, and her split and reconciliation with beau Aiden, we also get to catch up with Schooner and Mia, and see how they have settled into their second chance together a few years later.

Blindsided when she’s dumped by Aiden, Holly is heartbroken and spirals a bit out of control. As she tries to piece her life back together, she makes some dumb choices. But will they chance the course of her life?

Aiden is stuck in a terrible position, and did the wrong thing for the right reason. But he clearly still loves Holly, and there is a lot of push and pull between the two of them as they try to hammer out their differences, deal with their baggage and heal their fractured relationships — not just he relationships with one another, but within themselves.

While there were a few sections that dragged a bit, I felt that Moore Than A Feeling was an enjoyable second chance romance. I loved catching up with the Moore family!! I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.
