“Mr Gray Sweatpants was a romantic comedy that also was packed with emotion and heartfelt moments. A story that ticks every box and leaves you completely satisfied.”– Wiley Kate (Bookbub Review)

“The storyline was so sweet, emotional and really steamy. I loved they way the author was able to make me care about the characters both the main characters but also the minor characters. I would love to see more stories within this world.”– Sarah Nielson (Bookbub Review)

Secrets, assuming, and an a$$hole cat that gives zero f*cks

A hot boy summer romantic-comedy. The boy next door, the girl with a million secrets and an a$$hole cat that cares about nobody. This book takes passing love notes in class to a whole new level. Guitar music on the beach, plenty of hardcore wooing and way too much assuming. And we all know what assuming does …
Casey Savage is a workaholic. During the summer she works two jobs and nearly seventy hours a week in order to save money for school. She has zero time for dating, boys, or being wooed. However, she’s also no fool and will willingly choose mind-blowing orgasms over sleep any day. Which is where Mr. Gray Sweatpants down the road comes in.
Leo Brandt is spending the summer fixing up his late grandmother’s house with the goal of it selling to turn a profit. The hottie up the block doesn’t seem to know he’s alive, but that doesn’t stop his fantasies from getting wild.
An a$$hole cat brings them together, and Leo’s determination to learn more about Casey than just what makes her reach climax the fastest, has Casey taking a hard step back.
Her past isn’t anybody’s business, least of all an itch-scratcher like Leo.
But try as she might, the sexy contractor is not just getting under her sheets, but he’s also getting under her skin and she finds herself falling for him. Dammit!
When Leo finally learns the truth about Casey and all the dirty secrets that she’s keeping will he still see her as more than just a hookup? Or will he sell the house as-is and not only get out of dodge but the neighborhood and Casey’s life completely?

“Casey,” he panted, breaking their kiss. “I’m trying to be good.”

“You are. Oh boy, you are. You’re sooooo good. You feel so good.” She rocked against him and moaned again.

His mouth fell to her neck, and he scraped his teeth along the side, seeing stars behind his closed eyelids as she slid the V of her legs along his hard shaft. He wasn’t going to last long. He was going to make a mess in his shorts if she kept moving the way she was, kept making those sexy little noises and pressing her tits toward his face.

“I’m willing to wait if it’s what you need, Leo,” she said, all breathless and sounding like she was hanging on by a thread. “But know that it’s not easy. I want nothing more than to feel all of you inside me. I can feel how big you are.” She slid her hand between them, and the heat from her palm felt like a brand against his cock, even through all the layers.

He growled. “Careful.”

“But don’t you just wonder how it would feel?” She ran her fingers up and down along his cock, driving him ever-loving mad with how badly he wanted to punch a hole through the khaki and fill her up properly.

“Every damn minute of the day,” he gritted out.

“How much of me do you need to know before we finally get to … give in to our basest desires?”

“So much more, baby. I want to know it all.” It took every ounce of willpower he had left not to push his hands down the front of her panties—since that was all that was between them, as she was wearing that sexy summer dress—and feel just how wet she was. He knew she was wet. He knew that when she climbed off him, there’d be a wet spot on the front of his shorts from where she was riding him. But he wanted to feel that wet heat on his fingertips, on his tongue, and wrapped around his cock.

“This feels so good.”

“So good,” he echoed.

“I’m close, Leo.”

Oh fuck. Yes.

He hadn’t heard the sweet melody of Casey coming in what felt like forever. Granted, it’d only been a little over a month since that night on his couch, but given the level of self-inflicted torture and sexual deprivation he felt, it could have been thirty years. Every moan, every mewl, every whimper made his dick throb against his khakis and his balls cinch up tight.

“Leo …” she said on a gasp.

“Casey, I want to get to—”

But his words were cut off at the knees when she grabbed him by the hair, lifted his head up and crushed her mouth to his. A second after her tongue surged forward into his mouth, she began to whimper and breathe heavily, the puffs from her nose hitting his upper lip.

She was coming.

Fuck him.

She was coming.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 4 Stars
Mr. Gray Sweatpants is a sweet neighbors romcom that starts off with the funniest meet-cute. I loved how Casey and Leo got to know each other without even realizing it through her a$$hole cat. When they finally meet IRL, there’s an instant spark. Even though Leo is looking for a relationship and wants one with Casey, he lets her set the pace. They start a sizzling friends with benefits relationship, mostly because Casey is hiding some major baggage from her past when it comes to her family and keeps Leo at an arm’s length.

But just as feelings get involved, Casey’s past comes back to haunt her. Will Leo stand by her side, or ditch her the way she expected him too?

Whitley Cox did a great job of balancing out some serious family drama with a whole lot of comedy in this fantastic, slow-burn neighbors romance! I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

A Canadian West Coast baby born and raised, Whitley is married to her high school sweetheart, and together they have two beautiful daughters and a fluffy dog. She spends her days making food that gets thrown on the floor, vacuuming Cheerios out from under the couch and making sure that the dog food doesn’t end up in the air conditioner. But when nap time comes, and it’s not quite wine o’clock, Whitley sits down, avoids the pile of laundry on the couch, and writes.

A lover of all things decadent; wine, cheese, chocolate and spicy erotic romance, Whitley brings the humorous side of sex, the ridiculous side of relationships and the suspense of everyday life into her stories. With single dads, firefighters, Navy SEALs, mommy wars, body issues, threesomes, bondage and role-playing, Whitley’s books have all the funny and fabulously filthy words you could hope for.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 50 Ways to Win Back Your Lover by Kelly Siskind

50 Ways to Win Back Your Lover
by Kelly Siskind is now live!

From Kelly Siskind comes a slow-burn romantic comedy about one man’s creative attempt to win back his high school sweetheart after a change in fortune gives them a second chance at love.

Growing up, I had it all—my art, close friends, a gorgeous girlfriend who owned my heart—but then my life exploded.

Turns out my father was laundering money, and my whole family got shoved into witness protection. No notice. No chance to explain. I was ripped away from beautiful, blue-eyed Delilah Moon, shattering both our worlds.

A decade later, fate has given us a second chance.

The cartel my father worked for has been wiped out. I’ve returned to my hometown, determined to win back the love of my life. But Delilah is engaged.

Or . . . is she?

I’m almost positive she’s lying about her fiancé to protect her heart. Which means I need to up my game.

I’ve made a list of fifty ways to prove we’re meant to be. Except Delilah’s barely looking at me, never mind swooning. I have a feeling my disappearance scarred her more than she’s admitting, and no one in town will tell me what happened . . .

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 4 Stars

Told from the hero’s POV, 50 Ways To Win Back Your Lover is a delightful second-chance romance — with a twist. It’s been 10 years since Edgar (or E) had to leave in the middle of the night to enter witness protection with his family, crushing Delilah’s heart as she was ghosted and left behind. A chance encounter — in an airport of all places! — reunites this couple. But is Delilah still available? E doesn’t much care, because he is determined to win back the one that got away. Well, the one that he was forced to leave behind.

This story is sweet and sexy and E is so dang charming. I was really rooting for him to win her over all over again! I love books that are totally from the male POV, and feel like I don’t come across them often enough. So I was really excited to get this story fully from E’s perspective.

Kelly Siskind sets up a great series with this book, and I am excited to see what comes next for the Bower brothers. There are some issues that the brothers have to deal with due to their father’s involvement in a cartel that led to them being in WITSEC to begin with, so I’m interested to see how that plays out through the rest of this series as well.

I received an advanced copy from Montlake via NetGalley and voluntarily left a review.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: Resisting The Grump by Ashley Munoz

Once upon a time he broke me, and for that, I refuse to fall for him again.

Resisting the Grump, an all-new small-town romantic comedy full of heat and humor from bestselling author Ashley Munoz is available now!

Stalking the town recluse wasn’t exactly wise.

Davis was five years older than me…antisocial and temperamental. And there was the little fact that he didn’t know I existed.
Still, I gave him my heart, and he crushed it.

So I picked up the pieces and ran away to New York City. I had a plan that kept my heart intact for four years.
But one phone call changed everything.

Returning home meant facing the past…and the man who ruined me.
I had hoped that the mountain had swallowed him whole. Alas, as I set out to help my parents, I discover he’s not only alive and well, but that they apparently love the jerk.

He has no idea that we have a past, which is both a relief and salt in the wound.
I promise myself I’ll ignore how his eyes linger on me, or the way his touch feels like a live wire, and I’ll remember that once upon a time he broke me and for that I refuse to fall for him again.
But I can’t control that he seems to be falling for me this time.

Excerpt

“Can I kiss you, Rae?” he whispered, moving along my skin.
Shaking my head, my throat bobbed. “No.”
“You don’t seem like the kind of girl who likes to be asked, so I’m just going to do it.”
“Try it and see what happens,” I smiled wickedly.
He stared at me, a tiny smile lifting in the corner of his mouth. “You can’t resist me forever.”
“Watch me.” I glared defiantly, hating that he’d called out something that simmered so close to my core.
His body pressed against mine for a second longer then it vanished. “I think I’ll kiss you when you’re least expecting it. Maybe in church or something.”
“Why bother with this ruse? I overheard you talking that night in the garage. I know my dad asked you to place the order, and I know you think I’m too much work to befriend.” My palms went flat against the brick, so I could somehow find balance.
His stormy glare cut through me, as if I were a cold stick of butter and he was the searing knife, just pulled from the fire.
“You misheard…or at least misunderstood.”
Tilting my head, I asked, “Did he tell you to place the order and lie to me?”
Without a single hitch in his voice, or flicker in his gaze, he answered. “Yes.”
“Then I don’t know what’s left to—”
His grip returned to my waist as his body pressed into mine, pushing me tighter against the brick at my back.
“You misunderstood…I don’t want to be your friend, Rae, and you are a lot of work, but if you haven’t noticed, work doesn’t scare me off. I like work. I like trouble. You’re a fucking delicious mixture of both, and please understand me when I say this”—he lowered his head, his lips just barely a breath away from mine—“I like kissing you.”

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 5 Stars

Rae and Davis’ story is full of all the feels. I struggled with the fact that Rae fled from town and went to college across the country because she was so humiliated after walking in on Davis with another girl all those years ago. But aside from suspending belief for that, I adored this couple and their romance.

Davis is the mountain recluse everyone in town gossips about — and the poor sap carries so much baggage. He’s a squishy marshmallow of a hero once you get past those walls, and my heart broke for him when he told Rae about what had happened with his brother and family.

Do I think Rae should have come clean with him about her teenage crush when things first got serious between them? Absolutely. But Davis was kind of out of line with his reaction as well. The split led to the heartbreak necessary for them to come back together in a wonderful way and I was all over their reconciliation!

I can’t wait for the next book in this series!

I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: Second To None by K.A. Linde

Release Date: August 30

First love can’t come second.

A stand alone second chance grumpy sunshine romance about Josie & Maddox by USA Today bestselling author K.A. Linde…

Maddox Nelson is the only boy I’ve ever loved.

And the only one to break my heart.

I thought I was over that long ago. After drowning the heartbreak in two failed marriages, I should want safe and easy, and Maddox is nothing but complicated.

Now that I’m back home in Savannah, I can’t deny the pull toward him. He’s the grumpy to my sunshine, the introvert to my extrovert, the uncompromising to my go with the flow. But years of friendship, love, and tangled lust binds us together in the city where it all began.

When heat flies between us, he makes it clear that we already had our chance. Both of us should move on.

Except I’m no longer okay with that idea.

I’ll prove to him that I come second to none.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 5 Stars
Well, I read this book in a single sitting three days ago and I am still trying to wrap my head around what I want to write about Maddox and Josie’s story.

Like the others in the Coastal Chronicles Series, KA Linde manages to write a beautiful, heartbreaking masterpiece of angst. The back and forth between Maddox and Josie is a maddening rollercoaster of emotions. The story goes back and forth between the present and the past, and the years jump around as their story slowly unfolds. It’s hard to keep it straight in mind, chronologically, but it all comes together in a whopper of a reunion for this couple, a brilliant grumpy graphic artist and the television star he’s loved since they were teenagers.

The secondary story with Josie’s mother left me speechless. How that dovetailed with healing the relationship between Josie and her mom, as well as her mom and her dad, and sparking Josie’s next career move was brilliant.

Second to None takes place at the same time as Hold The Forevers and At First Hate — I loved seeing scenes play out from Josie and Maddox’s POV. And the nuggets that were dropped between Amelia and Ash left me wanting their book pronto!

Sunny Shelly’s Review: After We Fall by JH Croix

Release Date: August 30

A swoon-worthy, small town romance from USA Today Bestselling Author J.H. Croix!

✔️We’re roommates.

✔️We work together.

✔️She’s my friend’s little sister.

✔️She’s soooo off limits.

✔️I want her anyway.

I made a deal with Harley Jackson. We’d burn that fire between us to ashes with a few nights between the sheets. Friends with benefits, but with a time limit. It turned out to be colossally stupid.

A few nights together only made the fire burn hotter. I was never supposed to fall for her.

Grant & Harley’s story is perfect for readers who love small town romance, daring pilots, sassy heroines, roommates who can’t get enough of each other, slow burn, emotional romance with a dash of angst, oozing with swoon, and one smokin’ hot protective hero.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 4 Stars
Grant and Harley have known each other for years, and there has always been a simmering attraction between them. But they work together, live together in the employee house of Walker Adventures, and she’s his best friend’s little sister. It could be a recipe for disaster, so they agree to a limited fling as friends with benefits, hoping to get the other out of their system. Well, it doesn’t work!

But Harley is hiding a health issue from everyone she knows, and her secret has the potential to put an end to her relationship with Grant before it really gets started. Grant has incredible guilt over not being around when his mom died (he was away at college), which just gives Harley more of a reason to keep her issues to herself. But when Grant finds her after she faints, it more or less forces her hand. Can he forgive her for keeping the truth from him? Will his guilt about his mom’s death cause him to run away from Harley?

This story hit the right notes in mixing sweet, swoony, and sexy. After We Fall is one book in the Dare With Me series, but it can be read as a standalone. I’ve read a few of these — not the whole series — and the characters crossover since the Walker Adventures crew is a close-knit bunch. So it’s nice to see appearances from the other couples.

Synopsis

From NYT and USA Today bestselling author A.L. Jackson comes an enemies-to-lovers, close-proximity, second-chance romance…

Logan Lawson won me in a bet.

The second I saw him sitting at the illegal card table, I knew I was in trouble.

Years ago, he sealed my fate and condemned me to a life I didn’t want to lead.

Yet he’s filled with untamed fury and thirsting for vengeance against the husband I hate.

Aster Costa is everything I never should have wanted.

The second she showed with her pompous, prick of a husband, I should have gotten up and walked.

But there’s no looking away from the woman who wrecked me.

Worse, I can’t stop myself from plotting to get her back.

I want nothing more than to be free of my husband.

I’m afraid Logan Lawson is the only one who can make that happen.

He might hate me for our past, but now it’s me on my knees begging for help.

Finding each other in the middle of it wasn’t supposed to be part of the bargain.

But once Logan touches me, I’m gone.

A torch is rekindled. A fire is lit.

Aster Costa has always been mine.

And this time, no matter the cost, I won’t give her back…

Wow. After reading the other two Redemption Hills books, I never would have guessed that fun-loving playboy Uncle Logan was hiding such a traumatic past, covering up years of agony and pain for having lost his first love.

Aster and Logan’s story is heartbreaking and beautiful. There is so much hurt between them, but a bright love that never died between Logan and his Little Star. It’s ugly when they first see each other seven years after they were ripped apart. And the 30-day bet that Logan won with Aster as his prize was born out of revenge. But as their walls crumbled, it was crystal clear just how much they both still loved one another.

Zachary Webber and Erin Mallon beautifully brought Logan and Aster’s story to life as the timeline goes back and forth from the past to the present. They hit every nuance of the pain and hurt, as well as every ounce of the love and passion and reconnection that these characters shared.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 4 Stars

Tristian and Belle’s story is an emotional tale of forbidden first love, love lost and found, the one that got away, and enemies to lovers, told through dual timelines of then and now.

Reader beware: there is a lot of sex in this book as having an heir is part of the contract they signed. I’m no prude but there is alot of sex lol That said… getting to the heart of what happened between them as teenagers from Tristian’s POV was crushing.

It’s not an easy road for Tristian when it comes to making Belle fall in love with him again. But he is determined and this story is a doozy!

This is the second book I’ve read in the Second Chance series, and it is a standalone, while the books are all set in the same world.

I received a complimentary copy and voluntarily left a review.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 5 Stars

Absolutely fantastic! I have been dying for Mandi and Noah’s story, especially after finding out that he is Midge’s grandson. And Piper Rayne did not disappoint!

I loved the slow burn between these two, and the friendship that developed over the years as Noah returned as a guest at Mandi’s inn. I appreciated Mandi as a curvy heroine, and loved that Noah found her confidence sexy and never made her feel like she deserved anything less than what she wanted for herself.

This book, of course, has the three crazy grandmas and their antics in getting this couple together. What started out as a fake relationship to settle Noah’s family feud turned into something beautiful because Noah and Mandi had genuine feelings for one another all along. But it takes some time for Noah to realize that he can have a life with Mandi and still hold on to the wanderlust he has as a photographer. And how he gets there… we’ll, there’s some great groveling after The Conflict.

I adored this story! I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

Book Review

Sunny Shelly’s Review: Matchmaking a Single Dad by Angela Denise

She drives him crazy and he’s falling crazy in love.

Matchmaking a Single Dad, a hilarious, hot single dad romantic comedy from New York Times bestselling author Denise Grover Swank and USA Today bestselling author Angela Casella writing as Angela Denise, is out now!

They’re all wrong for each other…but sometimes two wrongs do make a right.

Cole
The only woman I need in my life is my eight-year-old daughter, Jane. As a widowed brewery owner, I don’t have the time or inclination for anything more serious than a one night stand. Running the brewery is a big job, and being a parent is a bigger one, especially since my in-laws keep trying to prove I’m an unfit guardian.

But there’s no denying Holly Mayberry drives me crazy with her sassy mouth and attitude. I’ve known her most of my life, but I’ve always done a good job of evading her. Until now. She’s teaching Jane’s after-school computer program, and fate keeps throwing us together.

Holly and I are like oil and water, no good for each other. I need to stop thinking about her, so I agree to beta test a new dating app—one that Holly designed, although she’s the last person I’d tell.

My match and I can only DM each other for thirty days. No photos. No real names. No personal information until the end.

If I wanted more with a woman, Cherry Bomb checks all the boxes…so why can’t I stop thinking about Holly?

Holly
Cole Garrison is a jerk. Or so I’ve told myself for years. The truth is, he’s a DILF and a half, and bickering with him is better than kissing someone else.

Hopefully, the guy I’m chatting up on my dating app will help me forget him…and take his place in my dirty daydreams.

Keep reading for a look inside Matchmaking a Single Dad!

The door opens, and the teacher sponsoring Tech Time, Mrs. Applebaum, comes in, followed by a boy and three little girls. Four. That’s not so bad. That’s two each for Mikey and me. I give him a we can do this look, but his expression has soured like milk left out too long. Mrs. Applebaum takes care of getting the kids into the room, which is its own brand of chaos, and then she claps her hands, her expression changing from frazzled to upbeat, and says, “There. Now I’ll leave them in your capable hands.”
“Wait,” Mikey says with alarm, rocking on his feet, “you’re not staying?”
“Oh, I’m sure you’re quite capable of holding down the fort. I’ll check in with you toward the end.”
“Are you sure—” I start, but I’m cut off by the closing of the door.
“Hi, I’m Eloise,” one of the kids says. She’s a little girl in a button-up shirt with pearl buttons that go up so high I’m surprised it’s not choking her.
Oh, yeah. Introductions. “I’m Holly,” I say, gesturing broadly to Mikey, “and this is Mikey. Why don’t you all pick computer stations?”
“Aren’t we supposed to call you Miss Holly and Mr. Mikey? Or by your last names?” Eloise asks as the kids get seated.
They’ve barely had time to introduce themselves before the door bursts open, revealing a newly harried looking Mrs. Applebaum, followed by none other than Cole Garrison himself and his small, dark-haired daughter, Jane.
“No,” I say reflexively.
“No, what?” Jane asks. “Hey, Dad, that’s the woman you always argue with.”
It’s my turn for murder eyes, only I make them at Cole. Cole, who only got better with age, damn him. His wavy dark hair has been joined by a short, trimmed dark beard that perfectly frames his lips, as if saying, “please kiss here.” Those eyes are as puppy doggish as ever, and now he’s both tall and broad, the kind of man any woman would welcome in her bed. To her detriment. Because he’s still a jerk.
I’ve had a somewhat recent refresher course on his jerkitude, actually. Before I left for New York, I made the monumental mistake of trying to be nice to him, and it’s a tactic I’m not about to reprise.
“Will you be joining us, Jane?” I ask, my tone tight.
Cole mustn’t know the no-swearing-in-a-school rule either, because he curses under his breath. “I didn’t know you were teaching this class,” he says to me. “Maybe this was a bad idea.”
“Excuse me,” I say. “I’m very qualified to teach a bunch of eight-year-olds Scratch.”
“What’s Scratch?” Jane asks. “Is it gambling?”
“No,” Mrs. Applebaum blurts, looking horrified. “I mean. It’s not, is it?”
“It’s basic coding,” I say, glancing back at the other kids. “I’m going to teach y’all to make your own games. Doesn’t that sound fun?”
Please God, let them say yes.
There are a few enthusiastic nods, although Eloise instantly raises her hand again. Sighing, I nod at her. “Yes, Eloise?”
“Will there be a test?”
“No,” I say, “but we’ll be giving a presentation to the rest of the school before Christmas break.”
“Sounds like a test,” Jane mutters.
There’s probably no getting rid of her, and it’s not her fault that I have an issue with her father, so I say, “Why don’t you take a seat?”
She does, choosing the open seat near Mikey.
Cole scratches the back of his neck, looking at her. I guess Mrs. Applebaum is satisfied to have done her part, because she nods and says, “All right. That’s settled then. I’m going to my classroom. I’ll be back at the end of class.”
Does she have a flask in there or something? She seems suspiciously eager to get back to her desk.
“Can I talk to you for a second?” Cole asks. It takes me a second to realize he’s addressing me.
I gesture toward the children. Mikey is regarding them with escalating terror, probably because if I step out, he’ll be left in charge. “Not a great time, to state the obvious.” “Why are you doing that?” Jane asks Mikey, who’s tapping the side of her monitor agitatedly. “Do you have a nervous tic, or is there something wrong with the screen? If there’s something wrong with the screen, you probably shouldn’t have let me sit here.”
He mutters something about this being just like middle school.
“It’ll only take a second,” Cole says, his eyes burning into me. Despite myself, I feel a not unpleasant sense of awareness.
“Fine,” I say begrudgingly. “Mikey, get them to turn on their computers and draw up the program.” It’ll be easier for him to step up if there’s a concrete task to focus on.
I step out into the hall, and Cole takes several steps back, as if he feels the need to constantly keep a minimum distance between us. Fine by me. “What is it?” I ask tersely, shutting the door.
For a second, he just looks at me, and I’m about to lose patience when he finally says, “I know you don’t like me, Holly. But don’t take it out on my daughter.”
He might as well have punched me in the gut.
“Is that what you think of me? You think I’d be a creep to a little girl because she has the misfortune of being related to you? If anything, I’ll be nicer to her to make up for it.”
His expression suggests my shot has landed too, and I’m glad, but only temporarily.
The corner of his lips tip up in a self-deprecating smile that lacks any mirth. “You’re hardly the only person to think it’s her misfortune. I had to say it.”
“Did you?” I ask, tilting my head.
He takes a slight step toward me, as if preparing to tell me off, then says, “Goodbye, Holly.”
In my mind, I think of another day, of a young boy, still on his way toward becoming a man, saying, “I’ll be seeing you, Holly Mayberry.”
How the hell has it come to this?
I watch him go, partly because I want to make sure he really leaves and partly because he does, damn him, have a fine butt. No harm in looking, ladies.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 5 Stars

Girl likes boy in high school. Boy likes girl, but instead of asking her out he blows her off and they become sworn enemies. Until they are matched by a dating app.

Cole and Holly’s story was adorable! The zing between these two was magnificent and kept me wanting more. I loved sassy Jane — what a spitfire that little girl is! She was smarter than most of the adults around her, especially her dad. After losing his wife, Cole was so afraid to open himself up again, but even his 8-year-old could see how perfect Holly was for him.

This book is the second in a series, and the series itself is a spinoff of another of Casella and Swank’s series. But it is a true standalone, with characters that cross over.

It’s also definitely worth checking out the Ten First Dates anthology for the prequel to this story so you can read the steamy novella about their first kiss!

About ROYALLY NOT READY:

So there I was selling bikinis out of my truck in South Beach Miami, getting ready to kick off a wet t-shirt contest when the world’s biggest grouch approached me – Keller Fitzwilliam.

The man had the sultriest British accent I’ve ever heard. And he looked like he just walked off a Viking boat and into a suit tailored specifically for his impressively muscular frame. Only problem is, he had the warmth of an ice pick and he kept telling me he was here to take me back to his home country.

Of course, I didn’t follow him. I might be up for a good time, but I’m also educated enough to know leaving with a stranger isn’t smart. Well, that’s until he mentioned my mom’s name. My mom who passed away several years ago.

So after some serious fact-checking, my bikini-clad bum went with him to a sub-arctic country I had never heard of just north of the British Isles, where I found out my grandpa was the king of said freezing country, and I was the one and only heir.

Desperate to learn more about my mom, I decided to give this princess thing a chance.

Good idea, right? Wrong.

Because Mr. Ice Pick was put to the task of training me and he’s not just cold as ice, he’s pompous, aggravating, and possessive. And did I mention we have to share a bathroom in a tiny castle?

We are oil and water every single day and even though he’s training me to be queen, I have this simmering desire to kneel before him.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 5 Stars

Do not miss out on reading this book! Princess Diaries-meets-My Fair Lady-meets-Fifty Shades of Gray, this book is a quintessential Meghan Quinn romcom with so much more! I swear, Keller is her most dirty-talking-hero yet, a grumpy guy who becomes completely besotted with the spunky heroine despite his efforts to keep her at an arm’s length.

Keller and Lilly’s story is PERFECTION! I adored the fish-out-of-water aspect with Lilly being plucked from her life in Miami after learning that she’s actually the only heir to the crown of a country she’s never heard of. As she goes through her “princess training” with Keller, Lilly slowly sees all of the Torsquethorpe influences that she’s had in her life, not even realizing it. Lilly was so lost after her parents passed away, and she never imagined that she’d find a home in a Norwegian country. Or that her soulmate would be the grumpy, ice cold dirty talker who has been assigned to turn her into a princess.

Keller. Oh Keller. He is so loyal to the crown, that duty having been instilled in him by his late parents. As much as he is falling for Lilly, he feels like he is betraying his duty to serve the royal family by being involved with the future queen. But Lilly calms his soul. Yet he is so conflicted by his demons and insecurities, all the way up to the last two chapters of this book. I loved the dichotomy of Keller as this strong, surly guy who is loyal to the crown yet still a lost little boy whose parents died, leaving him an orphan.

While there is a lovely sweet side to Keller and Lilly’s relationship, this book has some of THE HOTTEST bedroom scenes I’ve ever read by MQ! Holy hell! Narrators Emma Wilder and John Hartley played these two characters perfectly, from the vulnerable moments to the scorching BDSM bedroom scenes!

Royally Not Ready is absolute perfection, from start to finish!
