Book Blurb:

Presley McDaniel lives her life from moment to moment.

Making permanent decisions means obligation, and that would force her to stop being the family disappointment. Waitress, fitness instructor, dog walker … you name the hourly job and she’s probably held the position.

But when her grandmother can no longer run her book shop in Fawn Hill, a town so small it barely has its own zip code, Presley steps up to help.

The move from bustling city to green pastures may be exactly what she needs to sort out her life. But she didn’t ask for that happy ending to include a gorgeous veterinarian with an all-American smile and a penchant for snuggling puppies. The good doctor is reliable, responsible, and just the kind of man Presley has always avoided.

Love and commitment are predictable.

So why, the moment she lays eyes on him, are they all she wants?

Keaton Nash has never questioned his steady path.

His brothers may tease him about settling into his father’s passed-down role of small town veterinarian, but Keaton has never minded his rural roots. And after tragedy struck two years ago, he has a duty as the eldest Nash man to look after his family.

What he doesn’t need is the sexy, flighty stranger who shows up in town and gets his broken heart beating again. Presley McDaniel is a distraction, a red-headed temptation that is the definition of a bad idea.

He’s barely recovered from the love who left him to chase bigger dreams, and this woman is bound to do the same.

Except for the first time ever, he wants to abandon stability.

She makes him want to be reckless.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 5 Stars

Fabulous, fun and flirty small-town romance and a great start to a new series. Keaton is a by-the-book guy with a world of responsibilities on his shoulder. Presley is a free spirit who lives life by the seat of her pants. But when sparks fly between them in this small town romance, their lives will both forever be changed.

This was a great new series start by Carrie Aarons. The characters are likable, the plot and pace flows nicely, and the reader goes along for the ride as Presley and Keaton fall in love. I love how he centers her, and she teaches him that it’s okay to be spontaneous. And do what he wants for himself for once, rather than what he thinks everyone needs him to do for them.

I can’t wait for #2 to read Bowen’s story! I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

Excerpt

I tip my chin up, letting my head fall back against his
stomach. I catch his grin and let my own lips curve up playfully. Or at least,
it starts that way. Under the heat of his stare and with his hands still moving
across my shoulders in deep, sure circles, my body tenses for an entirely
different reason.
His touch feels intimate.
The way he’s studying me from beneath those dark lashes is
intense. He doesn’t look away, and I couldn’t if I tried. “Honestly, Jay, what
can I do? You shouldn’t carry all this stress.”
“I—” want you to touch me. The words catch in my
throat and hammer in my chest. My pulse gallops and I press my legs together as
the need between them—the need for him—obliterates any rational thought.
I almost say those words aloud.
By the heat in his stare, I wonder if he feels it too.
“Jay,” he whispers. My name on his lips is full of the same
tortured longing I feel down to my core. We barely scratched the surface of
this sexual tension when we were teens, both too young and too naïve to fully
understand the power of it.
Now. Right here. I swear those same feelings have multiplied
and grown. It’s overwhelming. Terrifying as hell. And yet . . . I can’t help
but arch my back even more. I delight in the way his gaze drops to the neckline
of my shirt.
His eyes zero in on my chest and his touch becomes feather
light as his stare takes in the hard peaks of my nipples straining against the
soft cotton fabric. I want him to touch me there. To haul me off this chair and
into his arms. I need to taste his lips as they press against mine. Crave it.
“I have an idea,” he whispers so softly that if I weren’t
watching his lips I would have missed the words.
“Yeah?”
His hands brush along my arms, down to my elbows and then
back up, his fingers so close but not touching the swell of my breasts. “It’s
selfless on my part, because you know how giving I am.” He’s teasing. Joking.
But it doesn’t kill the chemistry that swirls between us. If anything, it only
adds charge to an already building momentum.
His hands feel good, but they’re not enough.
“Your idea?” My gaze waits for his.
“I want you, Jayla.”
“Oh.” Heat pools in my belly. My skin feels flush. And my
body, my body wants this and everything he wants to give.
His hands slide up the length of my neck, then still as they
cup my face. “I’ll make you feel better. I swear.” He tilts my chin up and my
back arches in response. His body leans down over mine, slowly closing the
space between our mouths.
“I don’t think that’s a good idea,” I murmur, completely
fascinated by the heat in his stare, and the way his tongue swipes across his
lips.
“Let me kiss you at least?” He lowers his mouth, his intent
as clear as his words. “I’ve been dying to taste those lips. To see if they’re
still the same.”
“Um . . .” I should feel caged in. Between the chair and the
table, his hands near my throat and his body behind mine, I expect my anxiety
to ruin this moment. Only it never comes. Instead, desire and attraction so
powerful flood my veins. I almost reach up and grab for him.
“One kiss?” He bends, closing the remaining space until
there isn’t more than shared breath between us. All I need to do is close the
space, to nod my consent, and his lips will crash on mine.

Title: Object of my Desire

Author: R.L. Kenderson

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Photographer: FuriousFotog

Model: Chase Ketron

Designer: R.L. Kenderson

About Object of My Desire:

A romance author, a cover model, a book signing…a crush.

Ordinary women like me know we shouldn’t fall for beautiful men like Travis Zehler, one of the hottest cover models in romance fiction. But sometimes we can’t help ourselves.

When I meet him at a book signing, my attraction to him is instant. I’m infatuated, and I can’t stop thinking about him.

Even though I have doubts he’d ever be interested, I invite Travis to attend a book signing with me. And he says yes.

My fantasy comes true when he takes me to his bed, and the more time we spend together, the more I see that Travis isn’t some object to be desired.

He’s a man with a past. A man who’s been burned. A man who’s learned to keep his guard up.

I want to show him he can trust again, but when our confidence in each other is shaken, I began to wonder if happily ever afters are only for my romance novels.

Exclusive Excerpt:

Travis looked away from his phone as he heard Sydney move on the bed. She rolled toward him and put her head on his shoulder. Her brown hair was messy, and her eyes were puffy from sleep.

He thought she looked adorable.

“Mmm … good morning,” she said, her voice hoarse from sleep.

“Good morning.” He kissed her forehead and slid an arm under her head.

She brushed her hand down his chest and abdomen and back up. “Mmm … it’s been a long time since I woke up to a man in my bed.”

“Are you forgetting last weekend?”

She smiled up at him, her eyes half-closed. “That was the hotel bed. I’m talking about my bed.”

“Ah … got it. And I’m glad I could break your dry spell.”

She looked to his phone, which he was holding up. “What are you doing?”

“Just scrolling through Instagram.”

She continued to rub his torso. “That’s your app of choice, isn’t it?”

“Yeah. I used to be on Facebook, but it got to be too much. My personal page, my professional page, groups …”

“I forget how young you are sometimes.”

He wrinkled his forehead. “I’m not that young.”

She kissed his chest and smiled. “Young enough that you’re in the group of twenty-something-year-olds that make me feel old for using Facebook.”

“I never said you were old.”

She laughed. “I know. You should hear my niece.”

Travis smiled. “I can imagine.” He opened up his messages and scanned through them. At the same time, he noticed that Sydney looked away. He assumed it was to respect his privacy.

The woman was a keeper.

He went through them, saving some to reply to later and replying to a few right away. “Oh my God.” The next one he hadn’t been prepared for. He should have been, but those kinds of messages still surprised him every time.

Of course, Sydney looked up at his exclamation.

His first instinct was to hide the image on his phone, but he was innocent.

“Is that … hold on.” She reached over and put her glasses on. “Holy crap.” She burst out laughing. “Those are some huge boobs.” She grabbed his cell out of his hand and zoomed in and out. “Wow. Those babies are impressive.” She handed him back his phone. “Do you know who sent the pic?”

Travis just stared at Sydney. She’d laughed. She hadn’t gotten mad or upset. She thought it was funny.

He cleared his throat. “Uh, no. It’s some random fan.”

“You, too, huh?”

“What do you mean, you, too?”

She rolled her eyes. “I’ve gotten my fair share of dick pics.”

“You have?” He was surprised.

“Yeah. I guess it’s because I write romance. Apparently, the conclusion is, I write about sex, so I must want pictures of strangers’ dicks. When are men going to learn that women don’t ever want that, and if they do, they’ll ask for it?”

Travis laughed. “Do you keep any of them?”

She looked away from him. “Do you?”

“Don’t judge, but sometimes, I show some of my friends before I delete them.”

“You perv. I can’t believe you,” she said, her voice full of sarcasm.

Travis’s eyes widened. “You do it, too.”

“Duh. Of course.”

“So, do you have any on your phone right now?”

“Uh … no.” She looked up at the ceiling.

“You liar.”

“Okay, I have one because I’ve never seen anything like it.”

He made a come-here motion. “Show me.”

“Okay. But it’s your turn not to judge me.” She grabbed her phone from her nightstand, did a couple of moves on her phone, and passed it over to him.

“Holy shit.” He reached down and cupped his dick.

“Right? It’s a Jacob’s Ladder. Ribbed … for her pleasure.” Sydney laughed at her joke.

He was horrified. “That looks so painful.”

“I suppose it is.”

She took her phone back. “I’ve always thought it would be cool to have sex with a guy with a penis piercing, but this is just too much.”

This caught his attention. “You want to have sex with a guy with a penis piercing?”

“Technically, I said it’d be cool. I want to know if it feels good or if it feels weird.”

Travis took her phone out of her hand and threw it on the bed as he rolled Sydney under him. “How about I show you what feels good right now?”

She grinned up at him and spread her thighs.

Travis pushed into her, groaning at the sensation of her wet, slick heat surrounding him.

He kissed her neck and drove into her over and over. Sydney moaned as she lifted both legs and sank her nails into his back. He thrust into her until he brought them both to completion, whereupon he collapsed on top of her.

He quickly fell to her side, so he didn’t suffocate her and pulled her against him.

“Feel good?” he asked.

“Yeah,” she said, panting on his chest.

“And I did it all without a cock piercing.”

Sydney laughed and kissed his sweaty chest. “What are you doing today?”

“I’m hoping you have a gym nearby I can go to.”

“You can go to mine. Do you go every day?”

“Yep. I might take a day off, but it’s usually only once a week. Or, if I can’t go, I do something else to get exercise in.”

She groaned.

“What? You don’t go every day?”

“Hell no. I do four days a week.” She looked up at him. “Does this mean you’re going to break it off with me?” Her eyes widened, and she shook her head. “There I go again, opening my big mouth. And, this morning, I can’t even blame the wine.” She got up on an elbow. “Feel free to ignore me.”

Travis laughed. He liked that she saw them together. The best part was, he wasn’t scared, nor did he feel the need to push her away.

He pulled her back down. “I’ll forget what you said if you go work out with me.”

She rolled away and jumped up from the bed.

He sucked in a breath at her sexy, naked body.

“I take it back,” she said as she walked toward her bathroom. “You can remember me sticking my foot in my mouth.”

Travis laughed.

Five minutes later, he joined her in the shower.

An hour later, she joined him at the gym.

Two hours later, they met up in the shower again.

About R.L. Kenderson:

R.L. Kenderson is two best friends writing under one name.

Renae has always loved reading, and in third grade, she wrote her first poem where she learned she might have a knack for this writing thing. Lara remembers sneaking her grandmother’s Harlequin novels when she was probably too young to be reading them, and since then, she knew she wanted to write her own.

When they met in college, they bonded over their love of reading and the TV show Charmed. What really spiced up their friendship was when Lara introduced Renae to romance novels. When they discovered their first vampire romance, they knew there would always be a special place in their hearts for paranormal romance. After being unable to find certain storylines and characteristics they wanted to read about in the hundreds of books they consumed, they decided to write their own.

One lives in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area and the other in the Kansas City area where they’re a sonographer/stay-at-home mom/wife and pharmacist/mother by day, and together they’re a sexy author by night. They communicate through phone, email, and whole lot of messaging.

Blurb:
It started as a simple search for a landscape designer…

I wanted a beautiful backyard for my new home and my neighbors suggested I look into Ward Landscaping & Design.

The owner had no pictures of himself on his website, just a portfolio of nice outdoor sitting areas, pools, and vibrant gardens that I’d always dreamed of having.

Of course I hired him.

I expected to meet an average guy, but Mr. Marcel Ward is far from your average man. He’s handsome, and well-built, and his smile—though a rare trait—is truly infectious.

He’s every woman’s dream—a handsome, older man who doesn’t mind getting down and dirty to create something beautiful all because of his passion for it.

Unfortunately that lucky woman can’t be me.

Although Mr. Ward tests my limits, quickens my breath, and makes my heart skip a beat when he’s around, I’ve promised to devote myself to my husband.

So why am I falling for a man I know I can’t have?

What can you expect?

– An Alpha Hero (who is a bit of an asshole 😉 )
– Super Steamy Scenes
– An Adorable Beagle Puppy
– SOOO MUCH ANGST

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 4 Stars

A romance where a Harry Potter loving book nerd gets the guy! This was a relatively quick read, but packed quite a punch as far as YA best friend romances go.

The story is kind of predictable and checks all the boxes of the trope: she’s in love with her best friend, he doesn’t really see her as a datable girl, but when he pretends to date Lisa in order to catch the eye of the girl he really likes, Matt starts to see Lisa in a different light. But when Lisa doesn’t want to be anyone’s second choice, can Matt convince her that they belong together? Despite the predictability, this story was full of heart and humor. And Harry Potter! Loved that!

99% Faking It is the first book I’ve read by Chris Cannon. It’s a standalone in a series, and while the characters are interconnected, Matt and Lisa’s story does stand on it’s own.

I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 4 Stars

Looks can be deceiving, and Fallen Star is the perfect example of how you shouldn’t believe everything you see — or read. I fell hard for Grace and Scott. Their connection was amazing, and this story is so full of love and hope and finding something special. Their road to get there isn’t an easy one, but through all of the ups and downs of their relationship, Grace and Scott work at it.

It was interesting to get the behind-the-scenes stuff of Hollywood in this book. And my heart broke for Scott, because he was really placed in a crappy situation and tried to make the best of things. It’s a wonderful slow burn between the two of them, and Scott is trying so, so hard to be a better person and rise above the bad rep that’s been following him around. He’s carrying around some major insecurities, and Grace is that special someone who sees him for the sweet, sensitive soul he is behind the recovering junkie.

I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 5 Stars

Come Back Home Again was a great second installment in JP’s Hope Valley series, and a wonderful second-chance romance for Tempie and Hayes.

Temperance comes home after 21 years when her aunt dies. After her parents were brutally mirdered in a case that’s since gone cold, Tempie moved in with her aunt. At the same time, high school sweethearts Tempie and Hayes split up, breaking her heart. Her aunt was her last family member, and Tempie is all kinds of nervous to be back in her hometown, all alone.

We soon find out that Hayes had his heart broken as well when she left town without a word. Both of them had reason to believe the other did them wrong, and how that happened plays into the mystery subplot nicely.

I really liked that JP didn’t waste a lot of time getting to the reunion. It happens fairly early on in the book, and then we get to see them as an adult couple, which is refreshing. Their rekindled relationship also plays into the murders that have rocked this small town. When Tempie’s life is in danger, will detective Hayes be able to save his love?

This story had al the great beats that I look for in a second chance romance. I can’t wait to see what comes next for this group of friends — especially Rory and Cord!

I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

Friday nights at The Tap Room had live music, and when Tempie told me she wanted to go dancing, I’d been all over it. It had been over a week since I officially moved into the farmhouse. That shitty old apartment was a thing of the past, and my girl was in the mood to celebrate just how amazing things were going in our lives.

Rory was slinging drinks as Tempie let loose on the dance floor with Eden, Gypsy, and Nona. The guys from Makin Hardware were playing classic rock covers, and by how the girls were cheering and whooping it up, you’d have thought they were at an actual rock concert instead of a bar in a small, nowhere town in the middle of the mountains.

I let Tempie have time with her girls, choosing to hang back at the bar with Lincoln and Trick. Leo and Micah showed about thirty minutes early, and our buddy Carl shortly after.

“So, Tempie tells me you’re all domesticated now,” Carl said, taking a pull of his beer.

My eyes went back to the dance floor. Tempie was totally in her element, and I could’ve watched her all night long. “Yep.”

“I’m happy for you, man, but you couldn’t have waited another week? I’m out fifty bucks.”

My head swiveled his way. “What are you talkin’ about?”

Leo laughed, clapping me on the shoulder. “We had a pool goin’. See how long it took you to pull your thumb out and claim your woman.”

“You’re shittin’ me.” I looked around the group. “You assholes bet on me and Tempie?”

“I had the fifteenth of last month,” Lincoln grumbled into his whiskey glass. “Clearly I put too much faith in you.”

“So who won?” I asked after everyone quit laughing, curiosity getting the best out of me.

“Me.” We turned to Rory as she sat a pint in front of Leo before looking at me and winking. “Easiest grand I’ve ever made.”

“That was bullshit,” Micah griped. “You’ve known both of ’em all their lives. You had an unfair advantage.”

She shrugged, propping her hands wide on the bar. “Don’t hate. Not my fault all those cop instincts failed you. For Christ’s sake. Trick’s his partner and wasn’t even close.”

Trick shot Rory a withering look, and I let out a chuckle and shook my head as the song came to an end and the band announced they were taking a short break.

My gaze trained on Tempie as she and the girls started pushing through the crowd back to the bar. The second she got close enough, my arm shot out and wrapped around her waist, yanking her into me.

I could tell by her eyes that she was working on a nice buzz, and my dick stirred to life. My Tempie was always wild in bed, but when she had a few drinks in her, that ratcheted up to something fucking spectacular, and I was the lucky bastard who got to reap the benefits.

“You havin’ a good time, angel?”

She smiled lazily, leaning deeper into me and pressing her tits against my chest. “The best.”

“Who wants shots?” Gypsy called. Tempie and the others threw their hands up and cheered.

Rory lined four shot glasses along the bar and filled each with tequila. The girls downed them in record time, wincing and pinching their faces together as the liquor’s burn traveled down their throats.

“Careful, baby,” I muttered, my arm around her growing tighter. “I wanna be able to have fun with you tonight, and I can’t do that if you pass out on me halfway home.”

I nearly growled as the blue in her eyes heated and her eyelids dropped to half-mast. “Nothin’ but water from here on out,” she said to Rory, letting me know she was just as excited as I was for what was to come.

Born and raised around Houston Texas, Jessica spent most of her life complaining about the heat, humidity, and all around pain in the ass weather. It was only as an adult that she quickly realized the cost of living in Houston made up for not being able to breathe when she stepped outside. That’s why God created central air, after all.

Jessica is the mother of a perfect little boy–she refuses to accept that he inherited her attitude and sarcastic nature no matter what her husband says.

In addition to being a wife and mom, she’s also a wino, a coffee addict, and an avid lover of all types of books–romances still being her all time favs. Her husband likes to claim that reading is her obsession but she just says it’s a passion…there’s a difference. Not that she’d expect a boy to understand.

Jessica has been writing since she was a little girl, but thankfully grew out of drawing her own pictures for her stories before ever publishing her first book. Because an artist she is not.

Blog Tour: Right Girl, Wrong Timing by Natalie Decker

Right Girl, Wrong Timing
Natalie Decker
(Offsides, #3)
Published by: Swoon Romance
Publication date: March 12th 2019
Genres: Contemporary, Young Adult

Adaline Frost’s life officially sucks. Now that her BFF has found her true love, Addy is constantly stuck being the third wheel. On top of that, she hasn’t started her junior project yet, so her advisor pairs her up with what could only be described as the “Reject Breakfast Club.” Instead of the weirdo and the troublemaker, Addy is forced to work with two stoners, a popular girl, and her crush, Austin Reed, the jock who broke her heart.

Austin Reed is sick of being labeled “dumb jock.” If he doesn’t get an A on this project, he can kiss his future goodbye. Austin thought he’d gotten lucky being partners with the very nerdy Adaline Frost, but boy was he wrong. Addy jumps down his throat about his being late and calls him names like “manwhore” on the daily. She has no idea Austin works before and after school in order to help his mom with the bills. Yeah, he’s made mistakes and has had lots of girlfriends, but he doesn’t need Adaline Frost to remind him of it every time he sees her.

Can Austin and Addy ever be a thing?

Right Girl Wrong Timing is book 3 in the Offsides series by Natalie Decker.

EXCERPT:

I’m about to go forward and talk to her, but I divert from that plan as soon as I see Greg stepping up next to her. He’s blocking her from my view with his douchiness.

She said they weren’t dating at the dance. That was weeks ago, so why the hell is he still hanging around her? Why are his fingers clasping wisps of her hair? He shouldn’t be touching her.

This feeling is not sitting right with me at all. Fact is, I’ve never been jealous. Have I been a little envious of the people who go here recently? Maybe. I mean, a few months ago I used to be just like them. New clothes, shoes, going to parties, not having a care in the world. Then my mom lost her awesome job at the hospital due to cuts, Dad left, and shit just went downhill. Now, I have to make sure my mom and I don’t get kicked out of the dump we live in or have anything shut off because of the lack of funds. I’ve never been jealous of a guy dating a girl I was interested in, though. Until Adaline, and I swear this is going to be a problem. It’s already cost me my childhood home. I can’t afford to lose any more.

My fingernails dig into my palm as my hands ball into fists at my sides while I watch Adaline tip back her head and laugh. I need to get a grip. I’m losing it. This shouldn’t bother me. In fact, I shouldn’t even give a shit that they’re hanging out. Adaline and I can’t be anything.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 4 Stars

I feel like I waited forever for Covet… and I’m not really sure it was with the wait. To be fair, Sloth is one of my all-time favorite books, so I have the bar set very high for Ella James’ other books. But I just didn’t feel that Declan and Finley met Cleo and Kellan levels for me. Or even Barrett’s level from Murder.

That said, Declan and Finley have a really nice story arc in Covet. He is battling some major demons, and she stands by him through it all. There is a big change in their relationship when they are trapped together, and I felt so badly for the guy when he was going through the drug withdrawals.

Like all EJ books, there is a great twist in the story. Two, actually, and I didn’t see either of them coming. Overall, Covet was a sizzling romance with a forbidden twist.

I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

Blurb:
Homer Carnegie. Admit it—you know my name. Your kid’s got my e-trading card. Your husband sits up straighter when I stroll onto the TV screen. He knows I’m going to crack the bat and save the day. Even your grandma’s jonesing for my autograph. But women my age? They’re the worst. Or would that be the best?

It’s not my fault they line up at the door. They catch my balls all right, two at a time sometimes, or even three. Believe me, everybody wins.

At least they did—until the video. I heard TMZ paid a million for a bird’s eye view of Homer on his A-game. The only folks who didn’t watch with eager eyes? Red Sox management. They want me benched, or worse, shipped off to rehab.

It’s a long story, what happens next. How I end up on a boat, bound for the world’s most remote island: Tristan da Cunha. Just a speck of dust in the Atlantic.

Except my heart is there.

I don’t know that when I step onto the boat.

I don’t know a lot of things.

What I’ll covet…

What I’ll lose…

Excerpt:
“You’re a liar.” The words are like velvet, and his face is set like stone.

“No, I’m not! Now go away from me!”

I shove his chest without forethought and then recoil as fear pounds through me.

“Tell me you don’t want me. C’mon, fucking tell me, Finley. Make it easy.”

“I want you, and I hate it. I hate you!”

“Tell me you don’t want my hands on you. My mouth right there.” His finger points to my throat. I can’t swallow. His hands run down my arms, the warm palms feather-light. His face is grave as all the universe.

I can say nothing. I’ve made unforgivable mistakes, so many errors in judgment. My foot is caught in moss I’ll never break free of…and still I crave him.

“I don’t want to want you,” I say, the words barely there.

To my surprise, he laughs, his prince’s mouth twisting before he tosses me over his shoulder and makes off toward the curtain, striking it aside to stride toward the beds.

“I don’t want to either, so I guess that makes it even.”

BLURB:

Sloane has been on her share of dates. She just can’t seem to find the right guy to pop her virgin cherry. Sloane’s mother, a well-known sex guru, believes she’s suffering from a hostile vagina.

Poor Sloane is beginning to believe her mother’s professional diagnosis is true. Except for one small detail…

She’s been pining for her best friend’s brother, Oli, for the past decade.

Sloane’s heart is set on the unattainable, sexy-as-sin hockey player. She would give up on her Oli fantasy if it weren’t for those constant heated glares and that one passionate kiss that set her world on fire confirming her hostile vagina is right. Oli is the man for the job.

Problem is, Oli seems to have no intention of settling down and has clearly placed Sloane in the friend zone.

When crisis strikes, Oli and Sloane end up trapped in a car, driving to Canada with a sweet puppy and a whole lot of chemistry. But when Oli realizes she’s a virgin, he wants to run to the farthest hills to get away from her.

Sometimes happily-ever-after isn’t that easy…

Butt Ending is a laugh-out-loud friends-to-lovers story. Get ready for foodgasms, dirty talk, and one heck of a sexy alpha-male hockey player.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 4 Stars

This is a really enjoyable, slow burn, best friend’s brother romance. There are a ton of funny and awkward moments between Sloan and Oliver, and it’s a nice development between them moving from the friend zone into dating.

Sloan has been pining for her best friends twin brother for 10 years. Oli is a professional hockey player and a manwhore. He doesn’t do commitments and she’s a virgin who won’t do a one night stand. Both of their issues and past demons play nicely into this relationship, how he’s unattainable to her and why she hasn’t had a serious relationship since high school, and how he’s afraid to let himself grow attached to her.

There were a few things that I would have liked to have SEEN in the story rather than be TOLD that they happened, like Oli’s pep talks with Myles and therapy sessions, and even how guilty he felt about bedding the puck bunnies once he realized that he had genuine feelings for Sloan. His confusion was evident, and his struggles with what to do with feelings he’s never had before was portrayed nicely. But I felt cheated out of those other moments when I was really invested in this couple.

Butt Ending is a standalone within a series. I did not read Big Stick (Flynn and Myles’ story) but I did not at all feel like I was missing pieces for Oli and Sloan’s story.

I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

About R.C. Stephens:

As far back as R.C. Stephens can remember she was a sucker for a good romance. Of course there had to be a prince charming even if he ultimately was a dark knight and there had to be a happy ending.

She watched the movie Dirty Dancing way too many times growing up and Jean Claude Van Damme movies too. Go figure!

After years of saying she would write a book one day, she finally put pen to paper and carved out the plot line for what would eventually become the best selling Twisted Series. Now R.C. is just finishing up her tenth book and can’t seem to stop the stories running through her mind. Visit R.C. on her Facebook page to find out what’s new in her life and what releases she has coming up.
