I am a sucker for a playboy that meets “the one” and falls hard, and we got that in Jordan. His keeping his identity from her is a big part of the conflict between them, but I understood why he kept that from her, having had women not see him for *him* in the past, only wanting him for his legacy and clout as a pro athlete. These two characters really showed a lot of vulnerability with one another after his identity was exposed. And when Jordan knew he messed up, he went all out to make it up to Maya. I also loved how tied together Jordan and Maya’s lives were, without them even realizing it. Marni Mann never disappoints me, and I devoured this book. And I can’t wait for Gavin’s book after that tease! I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review. |
