Sunny Shelly’s Audio Review: Home Run by Lulu Moore

Home Run by Lulu Moore is now live in audio!

🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧 Narrated by: Teddy Hamilton & Savannah Peachwood 🎧🎧🎧🎧

A sexy, accidental pregnancy, one night stand, sports romance from bestselling author, Lulu Moore

My name is Tanner Simpson and I’m gonna be a father.

I never intended for it to happen, but one thing led to another and now Millie Robinson and I are connected for life.

I have no problem with this as she’s the woman of my dreams and her being the future mother of my child is the icing on the cake.

There’s just one small snag.

She can’t stand me.

Shocking, I know, but nevertheless a problem I must solve, preferably before the baby arrives.

So when she needs a new place to live, an opportunity presents itself for Millie to become my neighbor.

When I’m not on the road fighting for a spot in the post season, I’m with Millie morning, noon and night. She wants ice-cream, I’m getting it. Chocolate brownies, no problem.

Navigating impending fatherhood is nothing compared to convincing Millie to take a chance on me. On us.

She’s been my Home Run since the first day I laid eyes on her.

Now I need to prove to her I’m as lovable as everyone says I am, and the one she needs around forever.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 4 Stars

Home Run was so charming. Pro baseball player Tanner has had a crush on Millie for quite some time. She is dating one of his teammates, so they are in the same friend group. One day, Tanner gets an opportunity to spend some solo time with Millie, and one thing leads to another, and they end up having a one-night stand (well, one-afternoon stand). But after the lust faded, Millie freaks out thinking about Tanner’s playboy reputation and kicks him out. Except that she has no idea he really, genuinely likes her.

So when Millie learns she’s pregnant a few weeks later, Tanner takes full advantage of the opportunity to prove to Millie that she’s it for him. From sending her the brownies she’s craving to just spending every spare moment with her, Tanner really shows up and puts in the work to woo her. I actually got kind of mad at Millie for taking so long to recognize the gem she had in front of her!

I listened to the audio, and Teddy Hamilton and Savannah Peachwood were a delight as Tanner and Millie. TH is my favorite male narrator, and I thought they both brought so much depth to these characters.

Home Run is a book in the New York Lions series, so there is a lot of crossover from other characters. I have not read anything else in this series, so there were some references that I was a bit lost on, but it didn’t really impact my overall enjoyment of this story.

I received a complimentary copy and voluntarily left a review.
