Holland McQuaid works for the toughest designer in New York City. It’s a dream job. It’s heaven and hell at the same time. But when she gets her lucky break, and the job turns into something she never expected, it comes with strings. Such as showing up to the holiday ball with arm candy hand-picked by her pretentious boss.

She has no clue her escort is one of the sports icons of the decade. Rich. Handsome. Athletic. And more her equal than any man she’s known.

It’s lust at first sight for both of them, and they offer each other a night they’ll never forget.

But when Holland can’t keep him out of her mind, and he insists on putting the Merry in her Christmas, things get far more real than she ever anticipated.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 5 Stars

Love By Design is a perfectly binge-able holiday novella, giving Holland McQuaid an epic love story of her own all tied up with a pretty red bow. (I haven’t read Benching Brady, but Stryker is the son of the couple from that book, so I’m sure longtime Samantha Christy fans will love that connection.)

We’ve gotten to know Holland as the sister of the McQuaid brothers. She is married to her job, working for a high-end designer, and she kind of hates the holidays. Her boss sets her up on a blind date for a Christmas party, and there is an instant connection between Holland and sexy baseball player Stryker. The party ends with a hot and steamy one-night-stand β€” and leaves the woman who never wants more than a one-night-stand suddenly wanting exactly that.

I loved these two characters, and the connection they had. This Christmas novella was the perfect present!

I read an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.
