Levi is a bit of a playboy, and balks at the idea of being tied down, even if it is name only. But ultimately realizing that Eva would do anything for him, he agrees to marry her for a year. Ah, but this is a romance book, so that isn’t quite how things go down….
Eva and Levi quickly become quite domesticated as they are raising Cici together. It’s easy and effortless, and Levi begins to realize how lonely he was before when he worked long hours and went home to an empty bachelor pad every night. Things take a turn between Levi and Eva after a sleepless night when Cici is sick, and they cross the line from friends to lovers. And it was hot!
Natasha Madison wrote a fabulous best friend’s romance in Mine to Honor.
Eva is the cousin of Stefano, so she’s related to the hockey dynasty as well. And Levi is Stefano’s best friend/business partner — so there were some nice cameos from Stefano and Addison. And some great appearances by the wedding planner sisters. I loved the scene where they got Eva to admit that something had finally happened between her and Levi. That was gold!
