Description

Jared was my everything until an ocean separated us and he abandoned me when I

needed him most.
He forgot the promises he made.
Forgot the love he swore was eternal.
It was over before it began.

Now, he’s a hot commodity, universally adored, and I’m the woman no one wants.
Pining for a boy who no longer exists is pathetic. Years pass, men come and go, but I

cannot move on.

I didn’t believe my fractured heart and broken soul could endure any more pain. Until
Jared rocks up to the art gallery where I work, with his fiancée in tow, and I’m drowning

again.

Seeing him brings everything to the surface, so I flee. Placing distance between us

again, I’m determined to put him behind me once and for all.
Then he reappears at my door, begging me for another chance.

I know I should turn him away.
Try telling that to my heart.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 5 Stars

Tell It To My Heart is a rollercoaster of emotions! Sydney and Jared were childhood best friends turned high school sweethearts until a falling out between their families led to the end of their relationship. They both felt abandoned and betrayed by the other. When they cross paths again 10 years later in Italy, could it be time for a second chance?

There is a lot of angst in this book, and it was so well written. Layer after layer was peeled back like an onion, revealing everything that happened in the past when Sydney and Jared were ripped apart. My heart broke for all that Sydney had gone through, but she was a fighter and clawed her way out of (what she thought was) a horrible relationship with her controlling dad to make something of herself.

Fate kept putting her and Jared in each other’s orbits, and they slowly began rebuilding their friendship. The love between them was never lost, but the obstacles facing them in the present day seem insurmountable: their parents, his pregnant psycho ex, the media attention… It’s a lot for this couple to wade through, but their love for each other is unwavering.

This book is a standalone, but there is overlap with several other Siobhan Davis books. Sydney was a character caught in a triangle with Sawyer and Xavier in the Rydeville Elite series, and the guys play a big part in Sydney now getting her HEA with Jared. Ryder and Zeta from Only Ever You also play a part in the story, as Jared’s band is signed to Ryder’s label.

This was a beautiful story of true love, second chances, healing and rebuilding trust. I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.
