“Hmm?”

“Then take it,” he says casually.
I pinch his side, and he barely flinches. “You’re not supposed to say that.”
“I know you wouldn’t take it. You’re too infatuated with me.”
“Oh, now you did it,” I exclaim. “Now I’m going to go ask Lieth out just to spite you.”
He chuckles. “Good luck. I heard he likes to lick necks on first dates.”
“Well, then he’s the perfect man for me.”

Grumpy Rowan is as surly as they come. He feels stuck in his life, wants more than what his tiny Scottish village has to offer, but can’t bring himself to abandon his parents and chase after his own dreams after a tragic accident that tore his family apart. American Bonnie is going through life aimlessly, searching for her purpose, her reason, the thing that she is *great* at. Never in a million years did Bonnie imagine that she’d find her purpose in a small, struggling coffee shop in Scotland. Never in a million years did Rowan think that the person who infused life back into his existence would be a feisty, stubborn American. These two met their match in one another, and it was a joy to watch Rowan and Bonnie fall in love!
