My Saving Grace is the first book in a new spinoff series, and a connector between Melanie Moreland’s ABC Corp and Vested Interest series. It is a standalone, and I enjoyed it, but I think i would have been more into it had I read the other books. Still… it’s hot and sexy, and Grace and Jaxson are full of sizzling chemistry.

Grace is fresh out of law school and interning at a prestigious firm. She has her career plans mapped out in front of her, but meeting her sexy boss, Jaxson, throws her for a loop. There’s an immediate attraction between them, despite their age difference. Since she’s only planning to work there for a year, and Jaxson doesn’t believe in forevers, a flirty, secret, after-dark romance works well for both of them. Until it doesn’t any more. Will one of them walk away? Is there a chance of forever?

Jaxson is the typical alpha boss. Protective, dominant… but with a soft spot buried deep inside for the woman who has brought him to his knees. When things between them implode, he knows how to grovel to make things right, and he is actually very sweet once he lets his guard down and lets Grace in.

While I found this story to be all sorts of sexy and steamy, I think I would have loved it even more had I read the previous books first. From other reviews I’ve read, it seems there are a lot of parallels to Grace’s parents’ book. So maybe that is the difference in this being a 4 star versus a 5 star read. But I’m intrigued enough to want to see more from this series!
