Every damn time.

My father says that’s the problem. But he says a lot of things about me, none of them very nice.

I finally have a chance to show him, to show everyone, I’m more than a pretty boy who parties hard with his parentsโ€™ money. My business partner, Enzo, and I have developed a product that will change the world.

Ada Flemming, the FDA official who controls our companyโ€™s fate, is the most compelling woman Iโ€™ve ever met. Even though everything is at stakeโ€”my friendship with Enzo, my business, and my one chance at redemptionโ€”I canโ€™t seem to stay away from her.

Pursuing Ada might be the biggest screwup of allโ€”the only bad decision I donโ€™t bounce back fromโ€”but itโ€™s too late to start making safe decisions now.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 4 Stars

Last Call is the second book by Bella Michaels — although, it’s apparently a pen name for a popular author and I would love to know who she is! So Last Call is connected to Billion Dollar Date, and is the story of Enzo’s partner, Hayden. If you read Billion Dollar Date, you know all about Hayden and his wife Ada and their marriage. Last Call takes us back a few years to how Ada and Hayden met, as well as tells the tale of how Angel liquors came to be.

Hayden is your typical cocky billionaire hero. He’s got some baggage and lots of family issues thanks to a father who basically wants nothing to do with him. Probably because Hayden continually makes one bad mistake after another. And even though Ada is the woman who can make or break Hayden and Enzo’s future when it comes to Angel, he can’t help but be fascinated by the beautiful DEA agent.

Ada has some skeletons in her closet as well, and is trying to not repeat past mistakes. She seems to be smitten with Hayden as well, and the two strike up a tentative professional friendship at first. But when feelings come into play, Hayden is willing to show Ada just how much she truly means to him. Even if it comes at the risk of his future.

Last Call is equal parts sweet and sexy, with likable characters and a captivating story about love coming your way when you least expect it! I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.
