An Everyday Hero is the first book I’ve read by Laura Trentham, and I was quite impressed. There is such a range of emotions that all three of these characters go through, and there is so much growth among them all.
Emmett broke my heart. The frustration and anger he feels jumps off the page, which is a testament to Trentham’s wonderful writing. Ally starts out as the typical angry teen, and for good reason, but she’s evolved into such a wonderful young woman by the end. And Greer never loses her biting sarcasm, no matter how rough things get.
An Everyday Hero is an amazing story of second chances, love, and how a little kindness can go a long way in changing the course of another person’s life. I was intrigued by the blurb, and this inspiring, heartfelt story certainly did not disappoint!
