So cute! I easily read this book in the car on a road trip with the family. It is entertaining , engaging and very sweet. Aiden and Lizzie have been best friends since they were kids, and now they are neighbors. A few years ago, Lizzie started blogging about her hunt for the perfect boyfriend on The Boyfriend Blog. And she’s dated some real winners! (I could totally relate! Been there, done that!)
Aiden, meanwhile, was a bit of a player in college, but hasn’t dated since he realized his feelings for Liz changed. Or strengthened, since they were always there. He really puts in a lot of effort to get Lizzie to take a chance on him…. and gets a few ideas when he stumbles across her blog. But when Lizzie realizes that Aiden knows about her blog, will she feel like it wasn’t fate that pushed them together after all?
I really liked the dynamic between the two. There is a really nice friendship between them first, and then their romantic relationship blooms from that. It didn’t feel pushed upon me because KL Grayson gives us lots on their friendship first. The incident that happened in college that neither of them ever spoke about (for very different reasons) had to do with a huge misunderstanding and seemed plausible enough that I found it believable that Lizzie would be so hesitant to risk her friendship with Aiden. And Edna and the old ladies at the Senior Center are a hoot!
This was a pretty perfect best friends romance.
Side note: I was dying when Aiden started singing the prepositions because he remembered the tune from grade school. Same! 30+ years later, I still know them all!
