Speaking of choices, several years ago, I wrote a best-selling novel about my relationship with my ex-boyfriend, Tyler. He was my world when we were teenagers. Unfortunately, our teenage love story ended with me running off to college in a different state.
Now, I am home. It is time to face the demons of what I wrote. Seeing Tyler. What will happen between us? Will love rekindle? Or will someone else sweep me off my feet?
Sunny Shelly’s Review: 3.5 Stars
Romance author Hailey returns home from college, and she waffles back and forth between seeing if there is still something with her high school boyfriend, Tyler, and falling into a friends with benefits relationship with her best friend Duane. Who is also Tyler’s best friend.

As the three of them try to navigate this sticky situation, there is all kinds of drama, naturally. And lots of sex. I thought the situation that led to Duane and Hailey splitting was kind of immature on his part, and deserved a discussion with Hailey first. It should have been her choice.
The story is a relatively quick one; it took me a little over an hour to read it. And i enjoyed it, but I just didn’t love it. I can’t quite put my finger on why, but I just didn’t fall in love with Hailey as a heroine. But if you like love triangles with lots of drama and a heroine who finally figures her life out, then It Was Always You is right up your alley.
I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.
