Baseball player. Single dad. Hot mess. No woman has ever tamed him… until now.
Everyone knows Ryan Riggs—everyone who follows minor league baseball, that is. He’s the player with the hair-trigger temper, the bad shoulder, and the smoking hot looks. He’s also a single dad in need of a nanny—which makes him my new boss.
Simple. Except for one thing: We had a one-night stand five years ago.
We’re trying to be professional. But it was one of the best nights of my life, and the more I work with him, the more I’m thinking about a repeat.
He’s battling his demons, and I might be the only one who can help him win.
He’s impossible.
He’s unforgettable.
He’s unwinnable.
Looks like I have my work cut out for me.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 4 Stars
Another great book with the Riggs brothers! Work Me Up is half brother Ryan’s story. He’s the baseball player and single dad who lives life like a monk, but an injury has him at a career crossroads. When he hires a nanny to help out with his young son, Dylan, Ryan is shocked when Kate shows up — a one night stand from 5 years ago.
In Kate’s mind, Ryan is a gorgeous athlete who is way out of her league. She’s kind of lost with the direction she wants to take in life, and Ryan seems to have his life together. For Ryan, Kate is a sophisticated college graduate, comes from a wealthy family and is way out of his league. They both still feel the intense attraction from all those years ago, and it’s not long before they are spending nights together. But is it just a convenient sexual relationship?
Both Kate and Ryan have their issues, and when Dylan’s mom shows up, all hell kind of breaks loose. Neither one of them were honest with the other about their feelings before that, and then the situation just gets out of hand. I didn’t like the way Kate handled things by running away. But when she finally faces her fears and tells Ryan the truth, it’s a wonderful a-ha moment for them both.
I loved getting updates on Jace and Tara, and seeing Luke and Emily finally get married! I can’t wait to sss what Dex and Lauren’s story holds! I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.
