This book was absolutely brilliant. Hate sex at its finest! The over-the-top antics and game of one-upmanship between next-door neighbors Lilith and Will had be laughing out loud chapter after chapter. The snarky comments and their nicknames for one another — like Demon and Wonka — were just barely surpassed by the sexual fantasies Will and Lilith have about the other. It all leads to a combustible, scorching hot romp where straight-laced, anal-retentive, bowtie-wearing Will turns out to be one helluva dirty talker! Who knew?
But as enjoyable as the snarky banter is, Sundays Are For Hangovers also has depth to its storyline: Both Lilith and Will are trying to move on from their past. Lilith was raised in the lap of luxury, and is desperately trying to stand on her own two feet and get out from beneath her controlling father’s thumb. It takes awhile before we learn what led Will to being the neatfreak overachiever that he is, and thanks to Lilith’s Daddy Dearest, Wonka’s past threatens to ruin their future.
Sundays Are For Hangovers is the perfect escape read. I can’t recommend this book enough. I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review for Sunny Shelly Reads book blog.
