Screwed by Kelly Jamieson is AVAILABLE NOW!
“A sizzling forbidden romance.” – #1 NYT bestselling author Lauren Blakely

Cash Hale has been in love with his best friend’s wife forever. Now Callie and Beau are divorced, but she’s still way off-limits. Dating her would betray his friendship with Beau. And Cash is nothing if not loyal.

Callie Sutherland is starting over. The end of her marriage was just one more way she failed to live up to her wealthy family’s expectations, so from now on she’s not even going to try. It’s time to live her life the way she wants. And she wants Cash.

Cash and Beau aren’t just friends, they’re business partners, and the drop in the price of oil has hurt their business. They need to win the bid for Sutherland Industries’ next big project—but it may get messy since Callie’s family owns the business. Not only would Cash risk his friendship with Beau to be with her, he’d be risking the company they worked so hard to create.

But this new Callie isn’t taking no for an answer.

He’s so screwed…

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 3.5 Stars

What a sweet friends-to-lovers story! I agree with other posters that the title is a bit misleading: The situation is not ideal with her being his best friend’s ex since he’s still business partners with his friend, and Cash runs the risk of screwing himself over and over again. But there is a lovely slow build between Cash and Callie as they cross from friends to lovers. Callie never felt like she got the respect she deserved with Beau; she felt like she was a showpiece. Cash never makes her feel that way, but instead lifts her up and helps her blossom into the woman she should be.

The book begins a year after Callie and Beau are divorced, so enough time has gone by for her to appropriately start dating again. And through a series of flashbacks, we learn that Cash has been in love with Beau’s girl from the beginning. He’s stuffed down his feelings for Callie since college, since Beau asked her out first. But when he finally makes his move and makes a play for the girl he’s always wanted, Cash really pulls out all the stops b/c he is full of swoonworthy moments.

I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review for Sunny Shelly Reads book blog.
