Series: Rascals #1
night long…
a Hemsworth to shame. He’s also opening a bar with his buddies right below my
apartment. Goodbye, peace and quiet, hello sleepless nights fantasizing about
my hot new landlord…
plus-one for our events, I have the perfect way to even the score. Emerson is
A+ arm-candy… as long as I can resist taking a bite. Our arrangement is
supposed to be just for show, but Emerson is like that fifth shot of tequila:
tempting, intoxicating, and liable to leave me flat on my back with my panties
around my ankles, begging for more.
Sunny Shelly’s Review: 5 Stars
Katie McCoy has a great start to a new series in Rascal! And the meet-cute with Emerson and Alex has to be one of the most hysterically mortifying moments I’ve ever read!
This book is so full of heart and humor. Emerson is so supportive of Alex and her career ambitions, even though it’s putting him right into the path of the privileged life he’s so desperately trying to escape. The tense encounters with Emerson’s parents were kind of brutal, but they really offer insight to his reasons for wanting to pave his own way. And they also set up The Conflict that eventually leads to The Breakup.
Not only did I love Alex and Emerson, but I adored her best friend Kelsey — and Emerson’s best friends/business partners were a quite amusing bunch. In setting up a new series, likeable supporting characters are a must, and I can’t wait to see what Katie McCoy offers for the rest of these guys in the Rascals books to come!
I received and advanced copy and voluntarily reviewed for Sunny Shelly Reads book blog.
