Sunny Shelly’s Review: 3 Stars
The concept of If Love Was Fair was good, but I didn’t feel that the execution of the story made it a gripping, stays-with-you read for me. I just didn’t feel the instalove between Colin and Arbor, and the time jumps in the story were a bit disjointed at times.
That said, I enjoyed the second chance romance aspect, and how the one night they spent together left such a mark on both Arbor and Colin. When they were with one another, I got all the feels. But I wanted more from her time away from Colin to show me as the reader that he was The One for her. A big pet peeve of mine is being told, rather than shown, and I just didn’t get that I was being shown how deep Colin and Arbor’s connection was.
I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.
