Zoë Whitmore is in love with her best friend, but haunting
memories and a guilty conscious have been holding her back from letting her be
with him.
Owen Stevenson is unknowingly paying for the sins of his father. He doesn’t
understand why Zoë can’t look at him for more than a few seconds or why his
touch is unsettling at times. All he’s ever wanted was to love her, to protect
her, and to be hers, but it’s not so easy.

She pushes, he pulls.

She hurts, he loves.

Both are holding onto ghosts of their pasts and in order for them to peruse a
relationship they’ll have to let them go.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 5 Stars

Let Her Go is one hell of an emotional roller coaster ride. There are so many things I want to say about this book, but I don’t want to give away spoilers!!! How the same event, one moment in time, impacted best friends Owen and Zoe in such fundamentally different ways was incredible. Zoe’s story is heartbreaking, and how Owen props her up every step of the way is nothing sort of amazing.

Zoe is such a strong character, even if she doesn’t believe it herself. And Owen is such a sweet and patient man, just being there to prove to Zoe that they are perfectly made for one another. When Zoe needs to put some distance between them after coming clean about the secret she’s been carrying for YEARS, my heart broke for Owen when he loved her enough to let her go, even though it hurt. And his pleas to “please come back” — I wanted her to come back to him, too!

Let Her Go is a young adult, coming of age novel, but it deals with darker themes than most college-set romances, and is full of triggers, so reader beware. But the story itself is a beautiful madness, and I couldn’t wait to get to the HEA for Zoe and Owen.

I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a revie
