Perfect ending to this trilogy! Generally, I’m not a fan of cliffhangers, but this series pulled me in from the start, and the subsequent books were released a month later each, which helped ease the twitching I felt in needing to know how Reese, Mark and Brian’s story was going to play out.
I loved how Reese was torn between the two brothers — the “safe” choice, Brian, and the one who consumed her like no other man ever had, Mark. Clean Break picks up during the same scene where Only Ever You leaves off — drunk Brian confronts Mark because he knows his brother has been sleeping with Reese behind his back. I have to say, I didn’t expect the twists that unfold during that confrontation, or the way Mark and Reese would break each other’s hearts after the fact.
Needing to know how this story would end, I was up into the wee hours of the morning, unable to put this book down. The acts of deception tore the Fox family apart, but despite all of the heartache and fighting, there is a wonderful happily ever after as the three characters get their clean break.
