If you are looking for a saccharine-sweet second chance romance, then Just Say Yes is worth the read. Pro hockey player Scott is back home in Alaska for the summer after his team wins the Stanley Cup. When he runs into his teenage sweetheart, Becca, whom he’s never gotten over Scott becomes determined to win her back. As it turns out, Becca has never stopped loving him, either, and regrets that she ended things at all in the first place.
Just Say Yes is a fluffy story — there’s not really any drama, and no angst as far as Scott and Becca reuniting. The story is more about whether or not they can make their relationship work long-distance, and I easily read it in a single day (in between work and parenting duties). I found some of the dialog rather unnatural, and there were a lot of unnecessary minute details (like “I got a glass of water. I sat back down.”) that I felt added more to the word count of the novel than the actual plot of the story. But rating the book on the story alone, I’d still give it a 4. I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

Racer, an all-new standalone in the Real Series from New York Times bestselling author Katy Evans is coming September 28th!!!
A bad boy with something to prove.
A woman with a mission.
The race of their lives.
The love of a lifetime.
I don’t think his parents expected him to live up to his name—Racer Tate—but once he felt the adrenaline rush behind the wheel, he was addicted.
He’s the fastest, fiercest driver around.
Scouting new talent brings me to his doorstep…
but his smile sends me to my knees.
The sexy, mysterious Racer Tate is not the kind of man a girl like me falls for. He’s secretive, reckless, elusive. But his proximity pushes me beyond reason, and his kiss….
This is our last chance to win, and he is our only hope. I’m supposed to watch him—make sure he doesn’t get into trouble. But it’s an impossible task. And now the one in heart wrenching, toe-curling, soul-crushing trouble is me. Because when your heart belongs to someone, their truths become your own, and their secrets become your salvation…or your curse.
He says he wants me. He says I’m the One. But he also thinks he’ll break my heart, one piece at a time until it’s gone.

He’s a womanizer. He’s cocky. He’s not exactly a prince. Only he technically is. Meet your new royal obsession in this addictive novel from New York Times bestselling author Tracy Wolff.
Being rich opens a lot of doors. When you’re rich and royal, those doors lead to a new bedroom every night. I should know. The tabloids call me His Royal Hotness, Prince Kian of Wildemar. Women across the world see me as a naughty fairy tale, an image I’m happy to indulge. As the spare to the heir, I’m the prince with none of the power . . . and all of the perks.
Then my twin brother is kidnapped, and suddenly I’m the one who could be king. The crown chasers start circling—and yet it’s a luscious waitress who catches my eye. With a smart mouth and the curves to back it up, Savannah Breslin is as brazen as I’d expect an American commoner to be.
But Savvy’s not interested in playing Cinderella. As sexy as she is, she’s no stranger to heartbreak. Besides, a nice guy wouldn’t drag her into all the drama that comes along with royalty. Lucky I’m not a nice guy. And, as it turns out, I might not even be her first prince. . . .
Sunny Shelly’s Review: 4 Stars
This was the first book I’ve read by Tracy Wolff, and I really enjoyed it! Royal Pain was a great start to what I imagine is a duet, as Garrett needs to get his own story ASAP!
Kian and Savvy were likeable, relatable characters — even if he is a cocky, playboy prince! I love a royals/commoner tale, and this one had the added bonus of the spare being forced to become the heir when his twin brother is kidnapped. Add in the twist that Savvy dated Garrett first, years ago, and it became a real page-turner for me!

Raising cattle is hard work, but Chet Wilde’s been doing it since he was a boy. It’s the kind of grind that takes a toll on a man and reveals who he is, deep down. What kind of man is Chet? He may just be the last real cowboy. He carries himself with a quiet dignity that commands respect from everyone he meets. Lately though, Chet’s started wondering if there’s more to life than work.
Christy Harris hoped moving halfway across the country would help her escape the problems in her life. Namely, her abusive boyfriend, Mark. Not willing to let go that easy, Mark follows her west, determined to maintain control over every aspect of her life. Christy’s at her wits end, and is losing hope of ever being happy.
After a chance encounter brings them together, the chemistry between Chet and Christy is undeniable. When Chet witnesses Mark’s abusive nature, he’s not the kind of man to sit idly by.
Is Christy ready to recognize the difference between control and protection? Will Chet’s feelings for her be too much? Or, will she accept the same truth he already has? They’re meant to be together.
Taking What Is Mine is a wonderful story of finding love again written by a husband and wife. I’ve read several books by Abby Brooks, and was thrilled to get this collaboration with her better half. Chet and Christy are such a sweet couple, and the way he stands up and shows up for her as she’s trying to get out of an abusive relationship is absolutely endearing.
Chet shows over and over again how different he is from Christy’s crazy ex, Mark, and it’s not just because he’s a rancher! Chet is thoughtful and pensive, and is the type of guy who only speaks when he has something important to say. So when he voices his opinion about what Christy deserves, she listens!
I can’t wait to see what Brooks and Wright come up with for the rest of the men in the Wilde family! I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

But that’s what fate had in store for me. It broke me. I vowed I’d never fall
in love again.
Five years later, fate had one more thing planned. It wanted to play around in
my life again. Its tool? Another blasted stick of gum. Same place, only this
time, it was Jude Baker, a university lecturer, who slipped on the gum.
Despite being a pacifist, Jude wasn’t particularly happy about having gum stuck
to his shoe and made his distaste abundantly clear.
But that stick of gum was the catalyst to a series of events where our paths
would continue to cross. There would be a broken nose, a fractured hand, a cat
on a lead and a crashed corporate Christmas party that would align our hearts
and make me realise that I wanted to be happy again.
But there would also be tears. Many, many tears. Because falling in love
was never easy, especially when you were still in love with another man.
THIS BOOK! This book was everything I hoped for for Sarah Lohan in the sequel to 47 Things.
47 Things is a book I’ve read so many times in the last two years. I recommend it constantly, despite the fact that it’s a complete sobfest. And I still cry with every re-read. So I had my tissues ready when I tore into One More Thing, and I am so glad that I had them readily available, because Anderson writes just as many tear-worthy moments in Sarah’s second story as she did in the first.
OMT was a perfect tribute to Tyler and Sarah’s epic romance, combined with the brutal decision of letting go your first love and moving on with your life to open yourself up to love again. The moment that Sarah meets Jude is so perfect, you just KNOW that Tyler had something to do with it. Little by little, their friendship grows, and Sarah’s emotions are all over the place as she goes back and forth between wanting to spend time with Jude, but feeling like she was betraying Tyler at the same time. Add into the mix sweet little Ty, and Sarah’s guilt was compounded as she witnessed her son form a bond with Jude that he’d never have with his own father.
I loved how this story wasn’t just about Sarah struggling with letting go of Tyler and allowing herself to be happy again with Jude. It was also very much about Jude battling his demons and putting them to rest so he could be happy again in his life, with Sarah. Together, they heal each other’s hearts and soothe each other’s souls. Together, they learn to LIVE life again rather than just walk through the motions.
Sprinkled throughout the chapters are entries from Tyler’s journal, beautifully tying together the first book with the second. And the ceremony when Tyler’s entire “family” gathers together to scatter his ashes? I really think I cried harder then than I had when his heart stopped beating to begin with.
One More Thing is an absolute gut-wrenching, emotional read in the very best way. I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

They call him The Mute for a reason.
Hard, cold and calculated, he rarely speaks.
When he does, it’s with disdain.
When he does, his words aren’t meant for me.
When he does, my stomach flips and my world tilts on its axis.
He is thirty-three.
I am eighteen.
He’s a single dad and my father’s business partner.
I’m just a kid to him and his enemy’s daughter.
He’s emotionally unavailable.
And I am…feeling. Feeling things I shouldn’t feel for him.
Trent Rexroth is going to break my heart. The writing isn’t just on the wall, it’s inked on my soul.
And yet, I can’t stay away.
A scandal is the last thing my family needs. But a scandal is what we’re going to give them.
And oh, what a beautiful chaos it will be.

L.J. Shen is an International #1 best-selling author of Contemporary Romance and New Adult novels. She lives in Northern California with her husband, young son and chubby cat.
Before she’d settled down, L.J. (who thinks referring to herself in the third person is really silly, by the way) traveled the world, and collected friends from all across the globe. Friends who’d be happy to report that she is a rubbish companion, always forgets peoples’ birthdays and never sends Christmas cards.
She enjoys the simple things in life, like spending time with her family and friends, reading, HBO, Netflix and internet-stalking Stephen James. She reads between three to five books a week and firmly believes Crocs shoes and mullets should be outlawed.

CD Reiss is a New York Times bestseller. She still has to chop wood and carry water, which was buried in the fine print. Her lawyer is working it out with God but in the meantime, if you call and she doesn’t pick up she’s at the well hauling buckets.
Born in New York City, she moved to Hollywood, California to get her master’s degree in screenwriting from USC. In case you want to know, that went nowhere but it did give her a big enough ego to write novels.
She’s frequently referred to as the Shakespeare of Smut which is flattering but hasn’t ever gotten her out of chopping that cord of wood.
If you meet her in person, you should call her Christine.
