Sunny Shelly’s Review: Reckless, by Lex Martin

Title: Reckless
Author: Lex Martin
Genre: Adult Contemporary Romance
 Release Date: February 20, 2018

Blurb
Tori…
For the record, I’m
not going to hook up with my boss.
I’m a lot of
things—a screwup, a basket case, a flunky. But when I take a nanny job to be
near my pregnant sister, I swear to myself I’ll walk the straight and narrow,
which means I cannot fall for my insanely hot boss.
I don’t want to be
tempted by that rugged rancher. By his chiseled muscles or southern charm or
the way he snuggles his kids at bedtime. Ethan Carter won’t get the key to my
heart, no matter how much I want him.
Ethan…
Between us, she’s
the last thing I need as I finalize my hellish divorce.
What sane man trying
to rebuild his life wants a hot nanny with long, sexy hair, curves for miles,
and a smart mouth? A perfectly kissable, pouty mouth that I shouldn’t notice.
My focus is on my
kids and my ranch, not the insufferable siren who sleeps in the room next to
mine. It doesn’t matter that she wins over my kids in a heartbeat or runs my
life better than I do. Tori Duran is the one woman I can’t have and shouldn’t
want, no matter how much I crave her.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 5 Stars

Lex Martin is a new-to-me author, and now I’m wondering why the heck I’ve never read any of her work before! Reckless clicks all the boxes in the grumbly single dad/hot nanny trope, but there is just *something* about Ethan and Tori’s story that sets it apart from many of the others in this genre that I’ve read. What that is, exactly, I don’t really know I could tell you! I just know that this story spoke to me.

Ethan tries so hard to be a gentleman, despite his grouchy demeanor, and Tori is trying so hard to put her life back together after a series of really bad decisions. Together, they just work! The cuteness overload courtesy of his kids, Mila and Cody, certainly helped cement my desire for these two to get together, despite all of his cray cray ex-wife’s machinations to keep them apart. And I’m pretty good at figuring out a plot twist… but I didn’t quite see that one coming! Thankfully, The Crisis that splits Ethan and Tori apart doesn’t last for long, and this couple gets a wonderful HEA. Because we all want that for our book boyfriends, right?

STALK MELISSA ANDREA
I reached out to unzip the plastic
holding my dress, but just as I did, the door to the dressing room flew
open, and Dylan stood there looking back at me.
His eyes were wide with shock, as if he hadn’t expected me to be behind
the door, and then they dropped from my face and slid down my body in an
invisible caress.
I should have covered myself; I
should have screamed at him to get out, but I didn’t move or tell him to go.
The way he was looking at me, I needed that. I needed to feel beautiful and
desirable.
“What are you doing here?” I watched
him, his eyes a stormy blue.
His eyes devoured me, making me feel
uncomfortable. If Mitchell supposedly loved me and disliked what he saw when he
looked at me, then surely a man who didn’t love me would see me as even worse.
“The lady out front said the
bathroom was the last door on the right, but I’m guessing she meant the last
door on the left,” he said, not bothering to the hide the fact that he was
looking at my body.
I nodded, not sure what to say.
“I should apologize and turn around
and leave.”
I swallowed hard.
He didn’t leave.
Instead, he moved into the room and
quietly shut the door behind him.
“But you see, there’s a problem.”
“What’s that?” I asked.
He reached out, running a single
finger over my shoulder and down across my chest. “I can’t stop looking at
you.”
I folded my arms across my chest
now, feeling more exposed than I ever had in my life. His finger dipped into
the top of my folded arms and between my breasts.
“You’re covering yourself like a
woman who thinks she’s unattractive,” he said, moving close enough that his
whispered words ruffled the hairs on the
side of my face. “But the truth is, my cock’s hard just looking at you.”
I stiffened at his words.
No one had ever spoken to me like
that. No man had ever been so brazen, saying naughty words to me in such a
manner.
“How does that make you feel, Gwyn?”
He moved closer, his lips skimming my earlobe and making me bite my bottom lip.
I should have run out, but I was
half naked. And the truth was, I couldn’t move. My legs were stiff, and my feet
were rooted to the spot.
“How does it make you feel knowing
my cock is hard and throbbing for you?” He licked my lobe, and I shivered.
“Here you are, in your white bra and panties, looking so innocent and
corruptible … what’s an evil man like me supposed to do?”
“You’re not evil,” I said, finally
able to speak up.
My voice squeaked with my words,
making me blush even harder.
He leaned back, his brow lifting in
question. “You don’t think I’m evil?”
I shook my head. “Not even a little
bit.”
“I assure you I am.” Again, he
leaned forward, pressing his lips against my shoulder.
As if an automatic reflex, I tilted
my head to the side to give him more skin to explore.
“I’m jealous of the way the lace on
your panties is riding up your curvy hips and disappearing into the sweet space
between your thighs.” He kissed my shoulder once again, his breath striking the
side of my neck and filling my ear. “I want to be that lace, Gwyn. I want to be
resting inside your warmth.”

Dear God, he was good, and I was so very bad.

About FORBIDDEN LYRICS

Falling in love with your best friend’s sister is never a good idea. Getting caught kissing her, that’s even worse.

I watched Lizzie Donovan grow up – from pigtails and scraped knees to pouty lips and lush curves.

It wasn’t until one night nine years ago in the front seat of her car, with her lips on mine, that I realized what I was feeling was far more than friendship.

Of course, I felt her brother’s wicked left hook shortly after.

One promise was all it took to push her away.

Not anymore.

This is my chance.

I have three months to convince her that she’s the song in my heart and we’re more than just forbidden lyrics.

Read an excerpt from FORBIDDEN LYRICS

The house lights dim, leaving the whole place practically in darkness. A hush falls over the crowd as if the lack of light was in control of their voices. Pretty sure we’re the only table that knows what’s about to happen.

The steady beat of a drum, counting out a punishing rhythm break through the silence. A bass guitar joins in, followed closely by two more guitars. It’s a pattern I’ve heard all my life. Each instrument getting its turn to take the spotlight before coming together as a whole.

A spotlight cuts through the darkness and every girl in the room loses their mind before rushing the stage. Flashes from cell phones compete against the swirling lights illuminating the dance floor. The four of them stand there, perfectly comfortable in their surroundings, taking command of the area. Kade winds at the girls in front while Myles struts his stuff along the right side of the stage. You can barely see Pax’s head above the drum set, but every once in a while, you sneak a glimpse of his smile.

But that’s not what I’m focusing on. No, I’m drawn to the one standing off to the side, keeping a constant rhythm and not drawing as much attention to himself. Damn. If I thought Breck looked good sitting on a bar stool, he looks a million times better with a spotlight shining directly on him.

Don’t miss the other LIGHTNING STRIKES books!

SERENADING THE SHADOWS

No one should have their life planned out at the age of three. Yet that’s exactly what happened to Adrienne Carmichael. Paving the way as the “piano prodigy” was all her parents wanted…Only she didn’t.

All she wished for was to be normal, to be a regular teenager and everything that came with it—including the decisions that would shape her life.

Wish granted.

Ten years later, scarred and broken, she knows that being alone isn’t everything she imagined. The piano is finally everything, except nobody will ever hear her play again.

All that changes when a sexy-as-sin rock god blows into her life. Tall and tattooed with jet-black hair and a dangerous bad boy smile…he’s every girl’s fantasy.

To her, he’s a distraction, yet Kade Evans is everything she shouldn’t want.

Instinct tells her to run, but she can’t get him out of her mind.

But may, just maybe he can be the one to pull her from the shadows before the darkness swallows her…for good.

NOTES OF THE PAST

I love women.

And it’s easy to see why. Being the lead guitarist for the country’s hottest band, Lightning Strikes, has them practically jumping into my bed and walking out the door just as quick. Which is perfect for me. Emotions complicate things, and I don’t do complicated.

Not anymore.

Sure, I was in love once, and it was great. Then it was gone. That’s when I vowed never again. Life is better without empty, broken promises.

After five years of hard work, sacrifices, and determination, everything I’ve ever wanted is in my grasp: a successful career, touring city after city and being accountable to no one.

Then she starts appearing in the crowds. The girl I once loved, and who walked away.

Only, Tatum Mitchell wasn’t just any girl; she was my girl.

Will she be the wedge that drives the last part of my heart away, or will she break down the walls I’ve built. We’re connected through the lyrics of our heart and the notes of our past, but is that enough?

Sunny Shelly’s Review: Sex God, by Katie McCoy

Title: Sex God
Author: Katie McCoy
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: February 19, 2018
Blurb
My brother’s best friend is a sex god, and it’s time to even
the score…
Austin James was always my #1 crush – and off-limits – until
a college hook-up showed me he was every bit the playboy his reputation
promised. Now, he’s back after a mysterious break from the spotlight, offering
an exclusive profile that could make any journalist’s career.
And he picks me.
Two weeks to land the scoop of a lifetime? I’m not about to
let a little unresolved sexual tension stand between me and my big break.
OK, a *lot* of sexual tension.
Can I figure out Austin’s secrets – before they break my
heart? And will this off-limits romance find a way to become something real?
Find out in another hot romance from Katie McCoy!

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 4 Stars

Sex God is the 4th book in Katie McCoy’s All-Stars series of companion books. It is a standalone, but we previously met Mia in the last book, Heart Throb, as she’s a friend of that story’s heroine, Penny.

Eight years ago, Mia shared a hot kiss with her brother’s best friend, Austin. They had a heart-to-heart conversation that night, and Mia thought that he saw her as something more than Luke’s little sister. But the next morning, she overhears a conversation between Austin and some other friends that shatters her heart.

In present day, Mia is a low-level journalist working for a clickbait-y gossip site, and Austin is one of the hottest rockstars on the planet. He had a mysterious split with his band, and is now about to release a solo album. A bit press-shy, Austin agrees to do an interview only with Mia. In return, she’s hoping that the exclusive will jump-start her career as a legit reporter.

Despite seeking Mia out as the reporter to tell his story, Austin is closed-off for the most part, but begins to show her bits and pieces of the real him when they are alone. The attraction between them is still as hot as ever, and before long, they give in to the “forbidden” lust between them. But can their relationship survive not only her brother’s wrath, but the pressures of their careers?

Overall, this story is a sexy brother’s best friend romance. But there are a few things in this story that I couldn’t quite reconcile, like why Austin is a sex god. Sure, he and Mia go at it like bunnies, and he has a reputation for being a manwhore, but I didn’t get the impression that he is a “sex god.” Another thing that irked me is that Austin and Mia never really discuss that kis they shared back in college. It was memorable enough for them both to be hanging on to it 8 years later, and Austin has been pining for Mia just as she’s been carrying a torch for him, but they never really discussed it. Finally, I think having a bit more detail about Austin’s family life would have led more credence to why it was such a big deal for him to not break the bro code with Luke and why his feelings for Mia made him feel like he was such a scumbag.

Sex God was certainly enjoyable enough, and an easy read. I just enjoyed the other books in this All-Stars series a bit better. I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

Cover Reveal: Hard Crush by Mira Lyn Kelly

Title: Hard Crush
Author: Mira Lyn Kelly
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: March 6, 2018

Blurb
HARD CRUSH is a sizzling standalone romance from
USA TODAY Bestselling author Mira Lyn Kelly.
A jaded billionaire.
The girl who got away.
A second chance has never been so sexy.
ABBY
Technology has it out for me. And I’m not
talking about my ever-ailing phone or the temperamental Smart Board in my
classroom. I’m talking about the internationally hailed “Tech Genius” formerly
known as the boy I used to love.
It was bad enough seeing that cocky smile
staring back at me from my newsfeeds, the gossip sites, and—fine—the
scorchingly hot men’s fitness magazine I bought in a moment of weakness. But
now he’s back home, teasing me with the memories I’ve tried to leave behind,
crowding into my space and taunting me with the kiss I can’t resist. I know
it’s only a matter of time before I lose him again. He’s already told me he
isn’t staying, warned me he’s changed. I know better than to let him get too
close, so why can’t I push him away?
HANK
They call me a visionary. An innovator. Hell,
last week a headline touted me as the billion-dollar geek keeping Silicon
Valley’s panties wet. Try living that down. Strip away the media BS, and I’m
just a tech-minded guy with my eyes on the future and no time for a past I
can’t change. So what am I doing following the sweet sound of its laugh back to
the woman who passed on our chance at forever?
I tell myself all I want is to say hello. To
see her smile. Just a few minutes to pretend we’re still the “us” I thought
would never end. But once I’ve had a taste of the too tempting woman she’s
become, a few minutes isn’t enough.
The man I am today is used to getting what he
wants, and I want her.
The problem? She wants the guy I used to be.
Ten years later, all that’s changed is… everything.

Excerpt

I take her
hand and remember the thousands of times I’ve done it before. “I’m glad we got
to talk. It’s been too long.”
A few
strands of her hair catch in the breeze and I tuck them behind her ear. Only
just like with hearing my name and holding her hand, the tactile sensation from
the soft strands between my fingers stirs up memories I thought safely put to
bed. It gives me ideas I shouldn’t be considering.
“Hank?”
Abby whispers, quiet and confused. “What are you doing?”
Losing my
mind. “Giving us a better goodbye.”
My fingers
curl in so the backs of my knuckles stroke her soft cheek. This is so messed
up. I know what I’m doing is wrong, but she’s looking up into my eyes.
I kiss her.
By adult
standards, it isn’t much of a kiss. A single brush of my mouth against hers and
a lingering contact I’m not quite ready to give up. And yet that barely-there
kiss has my heart slamming against my ribs and fire racing through my veins.
It’s like
I’m fifteen again. Except instead of this being my first kiss with Abby, it’s
our last, and I don’t want it to end.
I’m not
talking about not wanting it to end like I didn’t want all the other Abby stuff
to end before.
No, this is
different.
I. Don’t.
Want. This. To. End.
But too
soon, that soft clinging contact is gone, leaving only the warmth of her breath
against my lips.
One breath.
Two.
Three.
I open my
eyes, realizing I’m not the only one still holding on. Abby’s free hand, the
one that isn’t still trapped in mine, is wrapped around my tie.
She hasn’t
let go.
A shadow
passes over her eyes. “You’re not in Chicago for good.”
She isn’t
really asking, but she wants to hear me say it anyway. She wants to remind us
both that fundamentally nothing has changed. That we need to stop this before
it goes too far, and hell, I know
she’s right.
“I’m not.
Tomorrow’s just a business trip, but all indications are I’ll be out of Chicago
in a few months if this deal goes through.” And even if it doesn’t, there will
be something else. There’s always something else.
It’s the
deal breaker that lost me this woman ten years ago. After the way Abby grew up,
she couldn’t watch me leave and she wouldn’t wait for me to come back. I didn’t
understand until it was too late the first time around, but now I do.
And with
her in my arms, it’s good that neither of us loses sight of the fact that this
fundamental difference between us hasn’t changed.
She nods
her understanding, and I wait for her to take a step back, for the shake of her
head and quiet laugh. Only it doesn’t come. Instead, her eyes drop back to my
mouth and the world around us starts to slow. Because I know that look. I fucking love that look.
But this
has to be a mistake. We aren’t teenagers. We aren’t starting something new.
So what am
I doing, uncurling my fist to sift my fingers into the dark silk behind her
ear? Using that hold to tip her head back? Waiting until her heavy-lidded stare
finds mine again?
What am I doing?
Only it
doesn’t matter what I’m doing,
because then Abby is the one tugging at my tie to bring me closer. She’s the
one murmuring her agreement that this is a much better goodbye a scant inch
from my mouth.
She’s the
one short-circuiting my brain, and now the only thing I’m thinking is that I
can do much, much better.
This time
when my lips meet hers, there’s nothing barely-there about it. I kiss her hard,
gathering her close, then closer still as she opens beneath me with a
shuddering gasp I feel all the way through me.
Her fingers
knot in my hair, then race over my shoulders and neck. Christ, her touch is
electric, building the charge in my chest by the second.
We’re
breathless and frantic. Devouring each other with a hot need that edges the
line of control.
Just
another minute and we’ll stop.
Just
another taste.
My hand
wraps in her hair and she moans around the thrust of my tongue.
Yes.
The part of
my brain that’s still functioning is rolling through the data…
We’re in a
parking lot.
The press
is camped out on the other side of the school.
I don’t do
serious, and this is the girl I learned how to love with.
We should
stop. No maybe about it.
But Abby’s
breasts are pressing into my chest as she wraps her arms around my neck, and
now there’s another part of my brain speaking up… and this is the part I know
better than to listen to. It’s the part that dirty-talked me into climbing up
the old oak outside Abby’s bedroom window… when her parents were home. It’s the
part that swore up and down security wouldn’t notice if I let myself back into
the lab at MIT after hours just to finish my experiment. And right now, it’s
casually noting the parking lot is empty.
It’s asking
me why, if the press knew we were back here, they aren’t calling my name to
score a frontal face shot.
“Hank,” she
gasps, and there’s no more mental chatter. I press her against the car, pinning
her with the weight of my body.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: Elite by Carrie Aarons

Title: Elite

A Privileged Novel

Author: Carrie Aarons
Genre: New Adult Romance
Release Date: February 18, 2018
Blurb
If you’re in, you’ll never have to ask. If you ask,
you’ll never be in.
Eloise Mason knows what it’s like to live among the privileged. Seeking a
change from the upper crust society of Europe, she flies halfway across the
world for a semester abroad in the one place guaranteed to toss responsibility
out the window and provide some good, old-fashioned fun; college in The United
States.

Except nothing at the picturesque, Ivy-covered university in Vermont appears as
it seems. And after a mysterious invitation arrives on her doorstep, curiosity
wins over the need to turn her back on games meant for the rich and ruthless.

Secret societies, risky tasks, and an inner circle to rival the royals. But it
may just be one American boy who threatens to be the most dangerous endeavor of
all.

Colton Reiter defines the word idolized at Jade Mountain University. In fact,
he practically rules the roost from the three point line of the basketball
court. The college’s star point guard, he is a god and treated as such;
professional scouts at every game, teachers looking the other way when it comes
to grades, and girls falling into his lap at the snap of a finger. He wants for
nothing, or at least that’s what he wants everyone to believe.

But when he meets the sassy girl with the British accent who could care less
about his status, her very existence threatens to unveil the skeletons buried
deep in the back of his closet.

With stakes this high, and hearts on the line, can they turn their backs on
power and popularity before the ivory tower comes crashing down on their heads?

ADD TO GOODREADS

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 3 Stars

This book pretty much encompasses all that is wrong with entitled, spoiled young adults. Set in a fancy Vermont college, aspiring British chef Eloise heads to the US for a few years of freedom before moving back to Europe. At Jade Mountain College, she not only meets the snootiest of girls on campus who invite her to pledge their invitation-only swanky social club, but also the school’s basketball hero, Colton. (He’s already a member of one of the exclusive social clubs.)

Elite isn’t just a YA college-set romance. There’s a bit of a mystery woven in, and while I felt like I wanted to throttle some of the girls over the games they were playing, I think that Eloise’s dirt-poor upbringing (before her family moved up the social ladder) set her apart from the rest of the rich bitches. And gave her a moral compass that the others clearly didn’t have.

Eloise and Colton’s romance unfolds at a nice pace, and they are both mature in their relationship, as opposed to some other YA couples. When backed up against a wall, Eloise is willing to sacrifice her own happiness in order to save Colton from having the secret he’s desperately trying to keep buried exposed. But when his world implodes anyway, you see just how devoted to one another they are.

Elite is a follow-up companion to Privileged, but is a standalone. I did not read Privileged, and did not feel that I was missing out on story points. I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: The Pilot & The Puck-Up by Pippa Grant

Title: The Pilot & the Puck-Up
Author: Pippa Grant
Genre: Sexy Romantic Comedy

 Release Date: February 16, 2018

Blurb
He’s the
biggest, baddest, most spider-fearing motherpucker on the ice…
When you’re named after the king of the gods, the world expects certain things
of you.

Tough? Damn right.

Smart? Don’t let the hockey uniform fool you.

Large and in charge? Honey, I’m the biggest, baddest, mother pucking-est
machine to ever own the ice. I shoot. I score. In and out of the rink. I don’t
come early, but I come often, if you know what I mean. And I always leave the
ladies wanting more.

Until that chick last night.

I’m no one-thrust wonder, and you’re damn right I’m going to prove to her I can
do better. But every time I think I’m finally on my way back into her pants,
she one-ups and out-balls me.

I should cut my losses, lick my wounds, and walk away.

But Zeus Berger doesn’t walk away from anything.

Especially when she’s the only woman in the world who might be able to handle
me.

The Pilot and the
Puck-Up is a standalone romantic comedy featuring a hockey player whose ego is
the only thing bigger than his shoe size, the most badass woman to ever fly a
plane, rubber chockey (don’t ask), and no cheating or cliffhangers.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 4 Stars

Zeus Berger screeching like a little girl because of a spider is one of the funniest things I’ve ever read. We’ve gotten to know Zeus a bit in Mister McHottie and Stud In The Stacks, and I’ve been wondering what kind of woman would capture his heart. As it turns out, the lady is the female version of Zeus.

Joey is a brassy, ballsy ex-military pilot who dishes it out just as much as Zeus does. These two are two sides to the same coin. There’s something that instantly clicks between the two of them when they meet at a celebrity golf outing her company is sponsoring — even though she tries to deny it. Their multiple failed attempts to get it on just kept getting funnier and funnier.

I’m usually not a fan of the virgin trope, but I honestly felt that the fact that Joey is one was more of a throwaway. She wanted Zeus in a way that she’s never wanted any other guy, sure. But it didn’t feel skeevy to me the way that trope often does. And Zeus was such a softie with Joey, it warmed my heart to see the big lug realizing how NORMAL he felt when he was around her. That he wasn’t the giant brute that the rest of the world sees him as.

Overall, this was a fun — and so funny! — story. I loved seeing Bro and Chase in there, getting to know Manning before his story comes out. I can’t wait to read what comes next in this universe from Pippa Grant! I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

Zeus Berger (aka the biggest, baddest, most
spider-fearing mother pucker to ever play in the NHL)
Coconuts are itchy. I should’ve gone for the watermelons.
But it was a bitch and a half getting that last-minute
private fitting at Madame Cosette’s anyway, and the woman probably would’ve had
to stitch three bras together and then nailed the damn contraption to my
shoulders to get it to hold without losing a melon, so coconuts it is.
Besides, it’s the heels that are gonna be the bigger
problem. Damn good thing I have ankles of fucking steel.
And my minidress is stretched to max capacity over the
coconuts anyway. It’s also in danger of showing my other coconuts, if you catch
my drift. And there’s definitely a drift—or is that a draft?—on my other coconuts.
A wolf whistle echoes through the swanky private clubhouse
where I’m strolling in with my twin brother on my left and my brother from
another mother on my right. A passing server drops a tray of champagne.
Conversation stops. And a bunch of stuffy golf pricks gape at us like we’re a
mutant alien circus freak show crashing their million-dollar wedding reception.
We’re three dudes who have more money than God, more muscles
than all the Kardashians’ bodyguards combined, and more fun than cotton candy
and roller coasters.

blissfully falling in love, while she’s busy binge watching anime. The last
thing she needs is a walking temptation, in the form of ex-nerd turned dreamy
astrophysics professor, Spencer Hill, aka her new client.
It’s her job to find Spencer his dream home, NOT fantasize about a ride
on his space rocket. But the sparks between them are impossible to ignore, and
soon, Abby is wondering if her losing streak in love could be turning around.
Can she get over her anxiety he’s got her out-brained, and can he let
go of the past and the fear that the girl he crushed on in high school is still
out of his league?

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 4 Stars

This book was absolutely adorkable.

High school nerd Spencer is all grown up, back in town after years, working as an astrophysicist at the local college — and desperate to get out of his parents’ basement. Abby, who he had a crush on as a teen, is one of the local realtors. In between house hunting, the two develop a genuine friendship — as well as a genuine attraction. But Spencer can’t imagine that Abby sees him as anything more than the dork he was back when he was her brother’s tutor, and Abby simply thinks that a genius like Spencer couldn’t possibly be interested in her.

I adored how Heywood wrote these two characters. Spencer’s voice was so clearly nerd. He theorized, hypothesized and tested every decision in both his personal and professional life, including testing whether Abby was truly attracted to him or not. And the little things he did for Abby, both before and once they started dating, are swoon-worthy. And Abby’s life is a hot mess when she first meets Spencer, but he’s there to catch her when she falls over and over again.

Fix My Fall was an adorable feel-good romance. The connection between Spencer and Abby is genuine, the supporting cast of characters are so funny (I need to go read Asher’s story now!) and the pacing of their relationship is perfect. There are a few instances where something would happen at the end of a chapter that I expected to pick up on the next page, but instead, it’s like days later, and I felt that those particular questions were unresolved. But still, that didn’t take away from how much I enjoyed this story. I easily read it in a day. And their sexy times weren’t overly graphic, which is a nice change from some other books in this genre.

I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.
