I’ve watched him for years.

Every role.

Every episode.

He was every woman’s fantasy.

The famous actor.

Gorgeous.

Charming.

Perfection.

Unattainable.

Until he showed up at my front door.

Wanting something from me.

Something I wasn’t sure I could ever give.

It wasn’t safe outside my bubble.

So, I let him inside instead.

All the way in.

And once he was there,

I wanted to keep him.

Even if that meant risking everything.

My safety.

My anonymity.

Even my heart.

He thought he knew how the story would play out.

But I was taking our love off script.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Anna Paige is the author of the Broken series; Broken Ground, Flawlessly Broken, and All the Broken Pieces, as well as Chasing Kade, the first installment in the Thrill of the Chase series and Off Script — a brand new standalone, due out in December 2017.

She lives in a rural town in North Carolina where the only activity is the rhythmic color change of the solitary stoplight and a very real threat of being carried away by mosquitoes. The only alternative to terminal boredom is writing, making life interesting if only on the page.

Anna is happily married, with one amazing son and a pair of hilarious pets. When she’s not writing, she’s trying to make a dent in her TBR pile. Given that she’s constantly adding new titles to the list, the chances of her ever finishing are slim.

And she’s completely fine with that.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: His Heart, by Claire Kingsley

Title: His Heart
Author: Claire Kingsley
Genre: Contemporary Romance
 Release Date: November 8, 2017

 Blurb

Brooke Summerlin’s life is like a Cinderella story. Raised
by an abusive, drug addicted mother, she desperately hides the truth about
where she comes from. But Prince Charming arrives in the form of Liam, the most
popular guy at school. He sweeps into her life and carries her away to what is
supposed to be a happily ever after.
Until it isn’t.
Sebastian McKinney is the son of an Iowa state champion
wrestler, and that’s what he’s going to be. Wrestling is his life. He’s
focused. Determined. Nothing will stand in his way.
Except a silent illness that almost kills him.

Brooke’s greatest tragedy becomes Sebastian’s second chance
at life.  Four years later, he’s moving forward, his body healthy, while
she is left to sink in grief that threatens to drown her.
But sometimes love transcends the boundaries of life and
death—between what is known and what cannot be explained. The heart that loved
Brooke continues to beat, and even now, it still beats for her.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 5 Stars

Claire Kingsley is one of my favorite indie authors. I love her romantic comedies, and could not wait to see how she handled a slightly darker romance with His Heart. WOW, did she not disappoint. His Heart is not a “dark” romance, but because of the organ transplant angle, it has a darker overall theme compared to her romcoms. But the CK romance that I know and love is still there, and she had me laughing and crying and laughing and crying over and over again.

I love how the alternating POVs in His Heart start with Brooke and Sebastian as teenagers, years before they ever cross paths. When the book starts, Seb is at the top of his teenage world, and Brooke is a the bottom of the high school social ladder. When she meets Liam, her teenage prince charming, Brooke’s life begins to turn around… at the same time that Sebastian’s life begins to crumble thanks to his illness. When Brooke has everything in her grasp, it’s tragically taken away from her — at the very same moment that Seb has just about given up and is given a second chance.
Brooke’s worst tragedy is literally the miracle that saves Sebastian’s life.

Four years later, Brooke and Seb finally meet — and it is by far one of the most heart-warming Meet Cutes I’ve ever read in a book. How he just KNOWS who she is without having any idea who she is was absolutely perfect. I had no doubt that Liam led Sebastian to Brooke, because now, she is in desperate need of being saved.

His Heart Teaser 3.jpg
The friendship between them builds slowly, but the development of their romance is well-paced. There are so many little moments between Seb and Brooke that made me tear up, and just as many that made me smile. Charlie and Olivia are the best best friends a book couple could ask for, and complemented the H/h so well.

Grab a box of tissues and dig in. His Heart is worth the emotional rollercoaster ride. UGH, that last line gets me every time! I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: Craving Midnight, by A.M. Hargrove

SBPRBannerCravingMidnight-BT.jpg

Craving Midnight by A.M. Hargrove
Release Date: November 2nd, 2017

Craving Midnight, an all-new romantic standalone from A.M. Hargrove is available NOW!

AMCravingMidnightBookCover55x85_BW_325

She’s a starlet with secrets. He makes scandals go away. Together, they’ll make sparks fly…

Midnight Drake’s squeaky clean reputation has suddenly taken a nosedive. She’s horrified after she wakes up naked from a drugged stupor, but the worst is yet to come. She just found three sex videos of the night she has no memory of on her phone. Midnight wonders if the videos will be leaked to destroy her career…

Harrison Kirkland cleans up Hollywood’s sordid messes for a living, and he’s never met a scandal he couldn’t contain. But when he’s assigned to fix the sultry Midnight’s problems, he never expected to get dragged in after her…

Behind Midnight’s diva exterior, Harrison discovers a mysterious woman with a web of secrets he can’t untangle. The deeper he’s pulled into her world, the stronger his desire for her grows. If he’s not careful, the next heart that’ll need fixing… will be his…

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 4 Stars

In Craving Midnight, Hargrove, as always, delivers a page-turner full of romance with just a hint of a mystery — and gives you a jaw-dropping plot twist that has you wondering where you guessed wrong.

The connection between Harrison and Midnight is somewhat of a slow burn, but when they cross that line from client/contractor to bed buddies, they are down-right sizzling. Craving Midnight is an emotional tale of not letting your past keep you there, survival and perseverance.

Without getting into spoilers, this book has a much darker tone than her previous two books, A Special Obsession, and Chasing Vivi did. (Those books are the stories of Harrison’s best buds, Weston and Prescott, so check them out! And it was so nice to get updates on the guys and their girls in Craving Midnight!) There are many themes in this story that are possible triggers, so reader beware.

As much as I enjoyed the romantic relationship that developed between Midnight and Harrison, I felt that the pacing of the book was awesome until the last few chapters. Once they were an official couple, everything felt rushed to get to the end of the story. I would have liked to have seen their officially being together develop as nicely as their growing bond had.

I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

Excerpt:

A veil drops over her eyes and the laugh disappears. Whatever happened in therapy opened up too many old wounds she won’t show me. Right now, anyway. Then I think about what just took place between us, and I question my own sanity. What the fuck was I thinking? Sex and business should never mix. I broke one of my cardinal rules. I didn’t just break it, I pulverized the damn thing, and it’s now scattered into dust. Maybe I should pretend it didn’t happen.

But I can’t do that. And why? Because it was the most epic sex of my life. And it was with Midnight, someone I’ve developed feelings for. How the hell did that happen?

Leaning down, I take my tongue and give her pussy one last, long swipe. Then I stand and go into the bathroom to dispose of the condom. When I’m done, I pick up my discarded clothes and get dressed. Her eyes practically burn through the skin on my back, which isn’t exactly the most comfortable feeling.

Before I leave, I walk next to the bed. “I’ll be back tomorrow around the same time. And don’t tell me you didn’t like what happened between us. If you do, I’ll call you a fucking liar,” I say. I want to kiss her, but I don’t. Instead, I tug at one of her nipples and the response is immediate. She sucks in her breath and my dick twitches in my pants. I have to get out of here before I strip off my jeans and push said dick back inside her swollen pussy. I’m pretty fucking sure she’d be willing too.

On my way out, she says, “Tomorrow, I want Italian. Make it spaghetti Bolognese. And find a place that serves the best. If you’re going to fuck me like this, I need to keep up my strength.”

The corners of my mouth curve up. “Yes, ma’am. Anything else?”

“Yes. A bottle of Barolo, a Caesar salad, and some great bread. You pick the bread. And butter, none of that olive oil. Bread needs butter.”

“Demanding, aren’t you?”

“Not at all. You have the opportunity to choose your own entrée because I never share.”

I chuckle. “Dessert?”

“Surprise me.”

I’d like to surprise her, but I don’t think I have a single trick up my sleeve that she hasn’t seen or experienced. That should bother me, but it doesn’t. At least not yet.

About A.M. Hargrove

One day, on her way home from work as a sales manager, USA Today bestselling author, A. M. So she made a quick decision to quit her job and reinvented herself as a Naughty and Nice Romance Author.

She fancies herself all of the following: Reader, Writer, Dark Chocolate Lover, Ice Cream Worshipper, Coffee Drinker (swears the coffee, chocolate, and ice cream should be added as part of the USDA food groups), Lover of Grey Goose (and an extra dirty martini), #WalterThePuppy Lover, and if you’re ever around her for more than five minutes, you’ll find out she’s a non-stop talker.

About the Author

CD Reiss is a New York Times bestseller. She still has to chop wood and carry water, which was buried in the fine print. Her lawyer is working it out with God but in the meantime, if you call and she doesn’t pick up she’s at the well hauling buckets.

Born in New York City, she moved to Hollywood, California to get her master’s degree in screenwriting from USC. In case you want to know, that went nowhere but it did give her a big enough ego to write novels.

She’s frequently referred to as the Shakespeare of Smut which is flattering but hasn’t ever gotten her out of chopping that cord of wood.

If you meet her in person, you should call her Christine.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: Hooking Up, by Helena Hunting

Hooking_Up_Banner.png

HOOKING UP

by Helena Hunting

Description

Amalie Whitfield is the picture of a blushing bride during her wedding reception–but for all the wrong reasons. Instead of proclaiming his undying love, her husband can be heard, by Amalie and their guests, getting off with someone else. She has every reason to freak out, and in a moment of insanity, she throws herself at the first hot-blooded male she sees. But he’s not interested in becoming her revenge screw.

Mortified and desperate to escape the post-wedding drama, Amalie decides to go on her honeymoon alone, only to find the man who rejected her also heading to the same tiny island for work. But this time he isn’t holding back. She should know better than to sleep with someone she knows, but she can’t seem to resist him.

They might agree that what happens on the island should stay on the island, but neither one can deny that their attraction is more than just physical.

Filled with hilariously scandalous situations and enough sexual chemistry to power an airplane from New York City to the South Pacific, Hooking Up is the next standalone, laugh-out-loud romantic comedy from Helena Hunting, the New York Times bestselling author of the Pucked series and Shacking Up.

Hunting_Hooking Up.jpg

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 5 Stars

Hooking Up is one of the funnest, funniest and sexy no-strings-attached stories I’ve read in a long time. I have not read Shacking Up, so Lexington, Armstrong and Amalie are all characters who are new to me, even though their backstory begins in the previous book. Hooking Up is a standalone, but there were several references to the Shacking Up story that I was unaware of. But in no way did that detract from how much I enjoyed Hooking Up.

Not wanting to name which guy is which here… The humiliation that Amie suffers at her own wedding was just AWFUL — and her response to it all was EXCELLENT! I loved that the other man didn’t take advantage of the situation in the bridal suite (which had me laughing out loud to the point that my kid wanted to know what I was reading!). His turning Amie down just made it that much better when they finally get together on what’s supposed to be her honeymoon, no strings attached. Just a rebound.

But when does no strings attached stay that way? I adored the easy relationship between Amie and the guy; it really served to show just how much of a jackass her husband turned out to be. At first, I hated that Amie and the other man didn’t come clean about their feelings for one another before she returned to her real life, but again, it served the purpose of making me even more invested in them finally coming together as a couple.

I loved everything about this book, from the jilted bride, to the revenge sex, to the douchey husband trying to cover his ass, to the intense connection that Amie has with the guy she should have been with to begin with. Excuse me while I now go back and read Shacking Up!

I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: The Other Brother, by Meghan Quinn

THE OTHER BROTHER by Meghan Quinn is finally here! Check out the excerpt and teasers!

THE OTHER BROTHER
NA Romantic Comedy
Model: David Harris
PREORDER HERE:
GorgeousBOOK_TOB.jpg
I got the call. The dreaded call every child fears. My dad wasn’t well, and the man who had always been my everything needed me.
There was only one thing to do; pack up and head back to my hometown. I had finally made my dream life in the city with the great job and loving boyfriend. But was there really a choice not to go?
I found a wonderful job, a quaint house to rent, my boyfriend was working on joining me in Binghamton, and my favorite pizza place was only miles away. Life was good.
Until I met my neighbor.
It’s been three years since I’d seen Aaron Walters, and my God is he all kinds of sexy gorgeous. Figures. He was supposed to be my forever, the man I grew old with, but he had different plans. How can a man who ripped my heart apart still trip me up? How can he make me still want him now more than ever?
I’m tempted, I’m drawn toward him, I’m completely and utterly unaware that I’m dating his biological brother.
Now two men own my heart. The question is, which brother will I choose?
Negihbor_TOB.jpg

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 5 Stars

Smalls. Poor, broken, insecure Smalls.

I had zero expectations going into The Other Brother — because I know that Meghan Quinn always delivers and never disappoints. But the story she gave to Aaron, aka Smalls, was nothing that I could have ever even imagined! I got a little weepy just from reading the prologue, and continued to both laugh and cry for the rest of The Other Brother.

Aaron made the biggest mistake of his life when he broke up with Amelia. His heart was in the right place, and he had the best of intentions, but his decision had major ramifications for both of them. Five years later, Aaron and Amelia find themselves living next door to one another when she moves back home to care for her ailing dad. And just as Aaron decides that he is going to win her back, he finds out that her current boyfriend is his biological brother — who had been given up for adoption. Will he come clean to Amelia, or hope that she sees him for the man that he is, and not the lesser, other brother?

Quinn wrote a delicious story. The damage that Aaron’s mom caused to him was just heartbreaking. How he is so confident on the outside and so insecure on the inside was a paradox like I’ve never seen. This book tugged on my heartstrings, punched me in the gut, and left me crying in my car parked outside my office because I needed to finish those last 2 chapters after reading into the wee hours of the morning the night before.

Aaron and Amelia warmed my heart. And MQ gave enough visits from Tucker and Emma and Racer and Georgie without those friends taking over the story. I am keeping The Other Brother on my re-read list, for sure! I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

Soul-Deep_TOB (1).jpg

Excerpt

Why? Why does he have to magically appear in my life? Moving back to Binghamton, I thought about the possibility of maybe running into him, but I thought it unlikely, something that would never really happen.

Boy, was I wrong.

What a sick joke life is playing on me.

Aaron Walters, the boy who broke me into pieces is my neighbor.

I can’t fathom the impact I feel already.

Seeing him in hip-hugging jeans and a tight, plain shirt did a number on me. It kept me up all night as memories of what we used to have flooded my mind.

His voice.

His stature.

The way he used to kiss my neck.

The way I felt so protected in his arms.

Too bad his arms couldn’t protect me from his devastating, heart-breaking self.

And hell, he looked good. Too good.

He’s always been tall with handsome features and a chiseled jaw, but now he’s bulked up to the point that I could see his abs flexing under his shirt, the same shirt that stretched over his biceps.

But it wasn’t his muscles or handsome features that once again made my heart ache, it was those eyes. So bright, so blue, so kind, but still so sad. It reminded me of the first day I met him, of the day he stole my heart from every other man on the market.

Broken, unsure, yet yearning for love. It was all there, and like experiencing a moment of déjà vu, I was transported back into a time when I felt invisible, like I could conquer anything with him at my side.

Once again, I was wrong.

About the Author:
Born in New York and raised in Southern California, Meghan has grown into a sassy, peanut butter eating, blonde haired swearing, animal hoarding lady. She is known to bust out and dance if “It’s Raining Men” starts beating through the air and heaven forbid you get a margarita in her, protect your legs because they may be humped.
Once she started commuting for an hour and twenty minutes every day to work for three years, she began to have conversations play in her head, real life, deep male voices and dainty lady coos kind of conversations. Perturbed and confused, she decided to either see a therapist about the hot and steamy voices running through her head or start writing them down. She decided to go with the cheaper option and started writing… enter her first novel, Caught Looking.
Now you can find the spicy, most definitely on the border of lunacy, kind of crazy lady residing in Colorado with the love of her life and her five, furry four legged children, hiking a trail or hiding behind shelves at grocery stores, wondering what kind of lube the nervous stranger will bring home to his wife. Oh and she loves a good boob squeeze!

Sunny Shelly’s Review: Tempting Sophia, by Jessica Prince

SBPRBanner-TemptingSophia-BT.jpg

Tempting Sophia, an all-new romantic standalone from Jessica Prince is available NOW!

Tempting Sophia final full wrap

Tempting Sophia by Jessica Prince

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Publishing Date: November 2nd, 2017

Having my heart broken once was enough to make me give up on the idea of love all together. Instead of searching for The One I decided to embrace variety and turn by back on monogamy. I made a living convincing women they didn’t need a man to feel complete.

And I totally rocked at it.

Until the man who shattered my happily ever after came waltzing back into my life, determined to make me fall for him all over again.

He claims that I’m the love of his life. He wants a second chance, and it seems like he’ll stop at nothing to tempt the hell out of me. But if Dominic Abbatelli thinks he can win me back with his puppy dog eyes, heartfelt apologies, and declarations of love then he’s…probably right.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 5 Stars

Jessica Prince does it again! I thought Grayson and Lola were pretty hot in the first book of this series, Seducing Lola. But I’m a sucker for second-chance romances, and Dominic pulls out all the stops to win back the love of his life in Tempting Sophia!

Dom and Sophia are Lola’s brother and best friend, and while we were introduced to them in Seducing Lola and this book picks up shortly after where that one leaves off, it is a standalone. But you should read SL anyway, because this group of girlfriends are the best tribe ever!

Ten years after a Ross & Rachel “we were on a break” technicality ended Dom and Sophia’s 4-year relationship, he picks up his life and moves to Seattle with the sole purpose of winning back the woman he never stopped loving. Sophia certainly doesn’t make things easy for him, and the fact that they are co-workers adds more stress to her life when she’s still clearly not over the man who shattered her heart.

This story had just the right amount of angst, an awesome group of supporting players, and the reunion between Sophia and Dominic didn’t feel forced. His written confessions are so swoon-worthy, and I couldn’t wait for Sophia to let him be her big spoon forever! I can’t wait to read Daphne’s story next!

I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

Excerpt:

“I can still tell when you’re lying,” he murmured, this time even closer than before. When I turned back, our faces were barely an inch from one another. It would’ve been so easy to lean in and press my lips to his. I still remembered how they felt against mine, how he could start a kiss so soft only to take it somewhere carnal a second later. “You get that little wrinkle between your eyes right here.” The tip of his finger gently stroked the skin between my eyes.

I sat frozen for several seconds before my brain reengaged and I pulled back, casting a furtive glance around the table. “Okay, look,” I whispered, leaning in closer. “This is how this is going to go. You’re my best friend’s brother, which means you’re going to be a part of her big day, which means I’m going to be stuck having to breathe the same air as you on occasion whether I like it or not. Because I love her and want this to be the best time in her life, I’m going to agree to put our past aside and be civil. But I am not doing this for you. Are we clear? I’m doing this for her. So please, don’t make this any harder than it already is.” Despite starting out strong, my voice turned weak on that last sentence, belying the pain I still acutely felt.

I watched with awe as Dominic’s face grew soft, making him even more handsome. “You know, no matter what you believe, I didn’t do any of this to hurt you, butterfly.”

“Please,” I pleaded. “Stop calling me that.”

“I’ll make you a deal. I’ll stop calling you that if you stop avoiding me like I have the plague. We work in the same building, for Christ’s sake. Can you at least pretend you don’t want to set me on fire every time you see me?”

Oh, if only he knew what I really wanted to do to him every time I saw him. But that would give him all the power.

“Okay, deal.” I extended my hand and successfully warded off a shiver when his large fingers engulfed mine in a shake. Quirking a brow, I gave him a skeptical look and said, “But this is for Lola… right?”

He grinned a sexy Cheshire cat grin that showed off his perfect white teeth. “Whatever makes you feel better, baby.”

I was fucked.

About the Author:

Born and raised around Houston Texas, Jessica spent most of her life complaining about the heat, humidity, and all around pain in the ass weather. It was only as an adult that she quickly realized the cost of living in Houston made up for not being able to breathe when she stepped outside. That’s why God created central air, after all.

Jessica is the mother of a perfect little boy–she refuses to accept that he inherited her attitude and sarcastic nature no matter what her husband says.

In addition to being a wife and mom, she’s also a wino, a coffee addict, and an avid lover of all types of books–romances still being her all time favs. Her husband likes to claim that reading is her obsession but she just says it’s a passion…there’s a difference. Not that she’d expect a boy to understand.

Jessica has been writing since she was a little girl, but thankfully grew out of drawing her own pictures for her stories before ever publishing her first book. Because an artist she is not.

SYNOPSIS

He’s one human caught in a tangled maze of theft, politics,
magic, and blood. In other words, it’s just another night.
Benjamin Vecchio escaped a chaotic childhood and grew to adulthood under the
protection and training of one of the Elemental world’s most feared vampire
assassins. He’s traveled the world and battled immortal enemies.
But everyone has to go home sometime.
New York means new opportunities and allies for Ben and his
vampire partner, Tenzin. It also means new politics and new threats. Their
antiquities business is taking off, and their client list is growing. When Ben
is challenged to find a painting lost since the second world war, he jumps at
the chance. This job will keep him closer to home, but it might just land him
in hot water with the insular clan of earth vampires who run Manhattan.
Tenzin knew the painting would be trouble before she laid
eyes on it, but she can’t deny the challenge intrigues her. Human laws mean
little to a vampire with a few millennia behind her, and Tenzin misses the rush
of taking what isn’t hers.
But nothing is more dangerous than a human with half the
story, and Ben and Tenzin might end up risking their reputations and their
lives before they escape the Midnight Labyrinth.

Now Live: Lust, by Melissa Andrea

BLURB

I despised Reed Peirce.
He was a cocky, egotistical smooth talker, and more times than not, he was also
my opposing counsel in the courtroom.

He thinks he’s God’s gift to the law, but I know the real reason he wins so
many cases, and it has more to do with those persuading green eyes than his
fancy law degree. Not that I can blame the jury. I was once on the receiving
end of that perfectly tilted smirk and deceiving charm, and I learned the hard
way not to trust him.

Now, a year later, it’s a virtual tug-o-war in the courtroom, and I refuse to
fall for his witty banter and flirty smiles again. I was determined to show the
playboy of appeals that he messed with the wrong lady of the law. Only, the
joke was on me, and a drunken night of hot, mind-numbing sex has my aversions
toward him wavering…

One bottle. One dare. One night.
That’s all it took to obliterate a year’s worth of hate toward Reed.
It was thoughtless. It was reckless.
And no matter the case I plead, he’s left me defenseless.

“Where’s your friend?” I said trying to peek around him.
His hand came up, and I felt myself holding my breath in
anticipation of what he was going to do next. His fingers curled under my chin
as he sought and found my gaze. His thumb brushed across my bottom lip, and his
touch was almost electrifying.
“She’s not my friend.”
“You both seemed pretty friendly to me.”
“That’s the second comment you’ve made about that. Are you
jealous, Meela?”
“Hardly,” I scoffed.
“Would it make you feel better if I told you you’re the only
woman I want to take home tonight?”
My breath caught, and our eyes collided in a lethal stare
down.
“What are you doing?” I whispered, and I prayed it
didn’t sound more like a plea.
“Playing dirty.” He moved so close his lips brushed my cheek
when he whispered, “What do I have to lose?”
That was exactly what he was doing.
Shaking myself, I tried to push past the unwelcomed thoughts
as far away as I could. I had to maintain my stance. I was Meela Davis,
kick-ass lawyer extraordinaire, and I was dealing with a predator. But not just
any kind of predator. One who took confidence in the stalk, took pride in the
chase, and took pleasure in the kill. I couldn’t allow myself to become another
casualty of Reed Pierce.
“This isn’t a contest, Reed. I’m not trying to play
hard to get. There is no winning or losing. I don’t feel that way about you.”
“Liar,” he whispered and shifted, fitting our bodies
together like a two puzzle pieces. The pressure of his body, he was muscle and
heat and solid. “That day in the elevator, you felt something. I fucking felt
it too, then and now.”
At that moment, a waitress walked by with the tray
containing the black and pink tube shots.  Stopping her, he grabbed
one of each and held them up.
“Prove it,” he said, licking the edge of one of the shots as
if he was about to down it. “Lust or … what’s the other one again?” Reed asked
the waitress and then added, “Not that she’ll need it.” He winked, and the
waitress giggled.
He was always on point when it came to charm.
“Bust,” she supplied and then gave me a look that begged me
to pick it, so she could happily take my spot.
“Thanks,” he said, basically dismissing her.
Looking at the two shots in front of me, one pink and full
of passion and the other black as the night outside the doors, I chewed on the
inside of my lip.
“Come on, Meela. Have fun. I’m only asking for one night.
What’s it going to hurt?”
Meeting Reed’s eyes, I contemplated his words. He was right.
As long as no one knew, what could it hurt? And even if someone did find out, I
could always plead insanity, or better yet, I’d blame it on the alcohol.
“One drink. One night. I dare you,” he purred.

ABOUT MELISSA ANDREA

New York Times & USA Today Bestselling author, Melissa
Andrea-

I find it hard to sum up my life in a paragraph, but I’ll try.

Reading has always been a passion for me, and writing as instinctive as
breathing. Every inhale is an idea; every exhale a creation. Flutter will be my
debut release, and I couldn’t be more excited about it! The only thing I do
better than writing you ask? Making beautiful girls. My daughter’s will always
be my greatest accomplishment.

I was born in Denver, Colorado -but I will always think of sunny Arizona as my
home. I don’t have a big family, but I’m close with my sister, brother & my
mom. My mom is my hero, my inspiration, and I couldn’t have asked for a more amazing
person to be raised by.

4 things you should know about me: I’m very girly, but I can get down and dirty
with the best of them. I adore the color pink, I love things that sparkle
(including vampires) and I like even numbers (hence 4 things about me, not 5)
