Welcome to the famed resort, The Hathaway at Dragonfly Beach, where newlyweds come to honeymoon, where anniversary couples celebrate milestones, and where broken hearts find a place to heal.

After her best friend is jilted at the altar, maid of honor Lilly Durand whisks the bride to Dragonfly Beach and its legendary hotel, determined to help her overcome her misery. Lilly won’t admit it, but she’s hurting too. During the few days of pre-wedding festivities, a powerful attraction had grown between her and the handsome and confident best man, Alec Thatcher. Now she’ll never see him again, but she’s decided to consider that a good thing. This way her inconvenient crush can’t turn into something so dangerous as love. But then, to her dismay, she discovers Alec is just a room key away at what some call the Heartbreak Hotel.

Alec Thatcher doesn’t have the time or inclination for long-term romance. Serial dating has suited his confirmed-bachelor status just fine—until he meets Lilly Durand and his world turns on its axis. She claims to be as relationship-averse as he, but when the two of them are together he can’t recall his own reasons against commitment. Though Lilly touches his heart and soul, she’s as cautious as she is sexy. With a stubborn streak a mile long, Alec will have to exert all his powers of persuasion to give Lilly her last first kiss…

Homer Carnegie. Admit it—you know my name. Your kid’s got my e-trading card. Your husband sits up straighter when I stroll onto the TV screen. He knows I’m going to crack the bat and save the day. Even your grandma’s jonesing for my autograph. But women my age? They’re the worst. Or would that be the best?

It’s not my fault they line up at the door. They catch my balls all right, two at a time sometimes, or even three. Believe me, everybody wins.

At least they did—until the video. I heard TMZ paid a million for a bird’s eye view of Homer on his A-game. The only folks who didn’t watch with eager eyes? Red Sox management. They want me benched, or worse, shipped off to rehab.

It’s a long story, what happens next. How I end up on a boat, bound for the world’s most remote island: Tristan da Cunha. Just a speck of dust in the Atlantic.

Except my heart is there.

I don’t know that when I step onto the boat.

I don’t know a lot of things.

What I’ll covet…

What I’ll lose…

Chapter Reveal: Taking It Slow, by Jordan Marie

A bottle of tequila

10 lime wedges

1 sexy blonde

Add in a crazy Vegas weekend

Lick and Swallow.

What do you get? A recipe for disaster.

Titan

Last night I got married.

I think.

I’m not exactly sure.

I was drunk off my ass, so it’s not exactly crystal clear.

But, I woke up with a ring on my finger, a marriage certificate, and a sneaking suspicion I had a wild wedding night.

Oh, and a bride who is long gone.

Apparently, what happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay here. Sometimes it takes off running.

But a runaway bride is the least of my problems.

Now I’m chasing after my runaway bride with divorce on my mind.

What could go wrong?

Besides everything.

This is book 3 in the series, but is self-contained and can be read as a standalone.

HEA inside and absolutely no cheating of any kind.

Faith

I whimper when the damn ping of my phone won’t hush. I squint, opening one eye—and one eye only.Sweet Jesus on a turnip truck, I drank way too much last night. I warned Hope I didn’t do weddings. I hate them. She was in Vegas, everyone knows you do the deed at a quicky drive-thru chapel somewhere and get it done—if you are ever crazy enough to say “I do.”

I won’t… ever.

Slowly the room begins to come into a focus… it’s a blurry focus, but still.

The first thing I notice is everything hurts.

Even my hair.

Definitely had too much to drink. The second thing I notice is I’m not in my one-room apartment, lying on my broken-down, never comfortable, probably ruining my back forever, futon.

I’m in a bed. A really soft bed. I’m also in what appears to be a very fancy room. A room with entirely too much sunshine coming in through the windows. My gaze immediately goes to the open glass doors that lead out to a balcony. When I look around I can see I’m not only in a strange hotel room, I’m in one that costs bank.

Lots of bank.

Then, I just happen to notice the crumpled wedding dress on the concrete floor of the balcony.

That’s when panic begins, as memories flood through my mind.

Memories of the night before.

Of course, it might not be the crumpled dress that brings those back quite as much as the huge leg—not that leg—wrapped over mine, the arm currently wrapped across my stomach and the third leg—yes, that “leg”—pushing against my ass.

I look down at the milk chocolate beast of an arm and I swear the female bits between my legs tingle as memories of the night before flood through me. Memories of… Titan. I have the strongest urge to wiggle against the semi-aroused cock pressing against my ass, but I don’t. I hold myself really still.

Because I’m in the middle of the biggest panic attack ever.

I can’t remember all of what I did last night. It’s a blur of devil’s juice, eating the worm—disgusting, by the way, and I may never drink tequila again—and sex… so much sex.

Sex everywhere. Bed, floor, shower, closet—don’t ask—and against the wall. Sex against the floor-to-ceiling window with my ass mooning the strip, but… sex on that balcony after I was stripped of my wedding dress is the one that sticks in my mind. Sex where I hung over the concrete balcony screaming, “Fuck me, harder, Big Daddy,” while Titan did indeed fuck me harder for everyone and anyone to see. There are other balconies close by. I can’t be entirely sure who saw us… or who we may have scarred forever.

Because, let’s face it, sex in real life is never like the porn movies.

I slide out of the bed an inch at a time—panic making my heart slam against my chest so loud I want to cry, because my head hurts like hell. Titan grumbles but flops over on his back, still asleep. I stand there looking down at him and I can’t move.

He’s that beautiful.

His arms are slung out on each side of him, his head turned to the side, his well-trimmed goatee and beautiful, thick lips making my knees weak. The sheet is tangled in his feet and his dick is obviously alert, even if the rest of him isn’t.

The sight of his dick makes me glad I was drunk last night.

Lord have mercy on me, a poor sinner girl… He’s huge. I take a step toward it before I can stop myself. It’s bobbing up in the air like it’s nodding at me. It’s wide, as in—thick as hell. How many women has this man sent running from the room in fear—that kind of thick. I’ve seen a few dicks—I’m not a whore or anything—not counting last night—but I have, and this one is in a class all by itself. And he’s long. I don’t have a tape measure on hand, and I wouldn’t risk waking Titan up for it, but this man could be the pink unicorn of dicks. He could actually be a foot long. He might not be, but it would not surprise me. I back away when Titan grunts in his sleep. Each step I take hurts, only adding credence to Titan’s dick. Damn, I might not walk right for a month.

I run bare-ass naked to the balcony. It’s early, the sun is shining, but the Vegas heat hasn’t raised its evil head yet. I’m definitely going to have to soak my poor abused body soon, however. I can feel where Titan has drilled—so to speak—with each step. I grab the wedding dress and step into it, trying to remain bent over so I cover my body. I might not have been shy last night in my tequila haze, but I don’t have that luxury today. I shove my hands through the dress, rising up so I can zip it—when I hear a throat clearing. I look behind me and see a man standing on a balcony behind me, grinning.

He’s older, as in probably Uncle Jansen’s age, and he’s wearing a cowboy hat. He’s sexy, but not my style.

“Morning,” he smirks, his Texan accent strong.

I give him a tight smile over my shoulder and then reach behind me to zip up the dress and hide my ass from the guy—even if it is a little too late. Walking back into the room, I look around for my shoes. I see some empty condom wrappers—thank you Jesus! I also see an empty bottle of tequila and Titan’s clothes.

Titan Marsh… pro football player, a hell of a good time in bed, and … my husband.

That last part makes me cringe. I don’t want a husband. He didn’t want a wife. We discussed that numerous times while drinking tequila and gambling the night away. How we ended up in that all-night Elvis wedding chapel, I don’t remember exactly. But I clearly remember saying “I do” and twirling my hips like Elvis when he proclaimed us husband and wife. I also remember turning to Titan and demanding—in my best Meg Ryan voice—to take me to bed or lose me forever.

He did take me to bed, but he didn’t get the whole Top Gun reference. I get the feeling Titan isn’t a big movie buff.

I look around for a few more minutes and pick up my veil, looking at the white converse tennis shoes and frowning. I wore tennis shoes to my wedding?

Whatever.

I put them on and lace them up quickly. Just as I’m heading out the door, I find a blue flowered garter. It’s on the entry table. I pick it up and start to stuff it into my pocket, but the dress doesn’t have pockets.

I look back at Titan and then down to the gold band on my hand. I walk back toward him, still feeling him between my legs with each step I make. I clutch the garter tightly in my hand. As I look down at the sleeping man, with the dick that apparently never sleeps, I only know one thing. I don’t want to be married.

He’s damn good in bed, though.

Decision made, I toss my garter toward his dick. It snags on the wide head, and lands at an angle. Titan’s hand comes down and he cups his balls before scratching them. I watch, my mouth falling open and my eyes widening in shock.

When the garter decides to fall down the long shaft of his dick I have to fight back a giggle. Then I hightail it out of the room. I don’t stop to think, I don’t stop to take in the strange stares I’m getting from the people in the elevator or in the lobby. I head straight for the door.

“You must be the deer killer,” I stated with a smirk. The stress that once filled her face quickly morphed into irritation.

“Excuse me?” she spat. So sexy when she’s mad.

I nodded toward her car. “This is your car, isn’t it? The one you hit the deer with last night?”

She folded her arms across her chest, her eyes narrowing at me. “Were you there to see me hit it?” she asked.

And she was a smart ass. How cute.

“Well, with the blood on your car, the alien egg on your forehead there, and the fact that you’re not in jail for hitting a person…I think it’s safe to assume you’re the deer killer,” I stated, the smirk never leaving my face. Her tanned skin turned a light shade of red as she placed the baseball cap back on her head, trying to rearrange her bangs to hide the knot. I glanced over to her two friends, both of them watching us with grins plastered to their faces.

“Hey, space cadet, want to come back to Earth to tell me the damage or are you just going to stare at my friends?” she snapped.

“You’re funny, you know that?” I mused, wagging my finger at her. She rolled her eyes. “First, I’ll properly introduce myself. I’m—”

“An asshole,” she interrupted. I chuckled.

“Sadly, that isn’t it, though I’ve been called that plenty of times.”

“Yeah, I don’t doubt that,” she muttered under her breath. “Look, I don’t care what your name is. Just tell me what’s going on with my car.”

“The deer killer is impatient, I see,” I said, ignoring the glare she gave me. “In order to get an idea, I need to know the details of what happened.”

She looked at me with wide eyes and exaggerated shock as she placed her hand on her chest. “Details, you say?” she asked. “But I thought you had it all figured out ‘considering that I’m not in jail, that there’s blood over my car, and I have an alien egg on my forehead,’ remember? Now Inspector Gadget wants details!”

I stare at her for a moment, my smirk never wavering. “Are you done? I mean I have all day, pretty lady. Keep going if that’s what excites you.”

She scowled. “Whatever. I hit a deer and ran into a ditch. The end.”

“I see. Did you see how big it was?”

“Hell if I know. It was dark,” she muttered.

I took a few steps away from her and re-examined the front of the car once more, stroking the stubble on my chin.

“Well, you’ll need a windshield, hood, a few parts to reconstruct the front, like a grill and headlights. You’re also leaking antifreeze, so you’ll have to get that fixed. I wouldn’t be surprised if you need a new radiator either. This deer did a number on your car,” I said. She looked at the car warily, nibbling on her bottom lip again. Wonder if they’re as soft as they look.

“How far in the hole am I then?” she asked, wringing her hands together.

“It’s still too early to know officially since I haven’t looked under the hood yet, but just by looking at it…probably $2,500 if I don’t find anything else.”

“Fuck!” She pinched the bridge of her nose and blew out a breath. “I’m so fucked.” She stumbled forward slightly, her hand catching against the window.

“Whoa, you all right?” I asked, securing her other arm. She snatched away from me.

“Don’t touch me,” she said, her voice a bit breathless. I held my hands up stepped back. That was probably well-deserved considering I’d been acting like an ass.

“Okay then. I’ll be sure to look away when you’re ready to faceplant into the ground and crack your head open.”

“Stop talking while you’re ahead, asshole,” she snapped. “I’m fine. I just need a minute.”

Desperate times call for desperate measures.

That’s what they say, right?

Well, I guess it must be true because I’m desperate.

And I’m about to take desperate measures.

That’s why I’m standing at his door, preparing to face him. Even though we are no longer what we used to be. Even though he doesn’t love me as he once did.

The girl he loved is no more, she vanished.

So did he.

Both gone with the wind, left behind in the mists of time.

We grew up, moved on.

But just when it seems there’s nothing left between us, there comes a second chance.

A whisper that grows, won’t be ignored, can’t be ignored as it ensnares us, entwines us.

Excerpt from THE BACKUP PLAN:

The door opened…making me fall backward into Chase’s pitch-black room. When I landed against something hard and naked, arms closed around me without hesitation.

A palm brushed my right breast, sending a wave of awareness shooting through me. I tried not to think about that, though.

Guys were nothing but trouble.

I had bigger plans than falling for a smooth talker with bright eyes and a fake smile who would do nothing but distract me. Once I managed to regain my balance, I spun on my heel and looked at him.

The room behind him was dark, but the hallway illuminated his hotness. And once it did? I wished I hadn’t looked at all.

He stood in the doorway, looking completely unfazed by the fact that he’d basically just felt me up, and glowered at the guy in the hallway. He was shirtless, and wearing nothing but a pair of black sweats. His chest was hard and chiseled, and his abs…yeah. I wasn’t gonna touch upon those for the sake of my own sanity.

Waxing poetic over his abs wasn’t part of my job description.

“Uh, hey…” the guy in the hallway said, trailing off after a feeble attempt at pretending he hadn’t been talking crap about him moments before.

Chase’s green eyes met mine before focusing on the guy in the hall again. His sharp cheekbones were the same as I remembered, and so was his short brown hair. He used to have dimples in his cheeks when he smiled, which had softened the harsh lines of his face and given him a softer appeal, but I had no idea if they still existed since he hadn’t smiled at me yet. Or…at anyone all day. Had he forgotten how?

He said nothing. Just stared the other guy down.

Even I had to admit his stony silence was impressive.

Of course, he kind of reminded me of his dad right now, something he probably wouldn’t like. Or would he? I had no clue.

“I didn’t mean to…” The guy backed up, his face pale, and looked back at me. “She a friend of yours?”

Chase didn’t answer him. He just motioned me inside, his jaw ticking ever so slightly. When I didn’t move fast enough, he shot me a look with those gorgeous eyes of his, and I jumped slightly. “Um. Yes, I am.” I swallowed hard and inched past him, making sure I didn’t brush against his bare chest in the process.

Chase slammed the door behind me. I blinked across the inky blackness of the room, my heart hammering away in my ears. He’d been sitting here in the dark this early in the night? Had he been napping before hitting the books?

I’d learned college kids napped more than one year olds—and much more enthusiastically.

“Do you have something against lights?” I asked, forcing a little laugh at the end.

Dead silence met my joke. In all fairness, it was a pretty lame attempt. For a second I wondered if he was even in the room with me, but I heard him breathe. I turned my head, trying to figure out where he was. To my left, maybe.

“Okay. No lights, then. That’s fine. It’s cool. I’m not scared of the dark.” I paused. “Were you taking a power nap? I could use one. I got an hour of sleep last night.”

Still nothing.

I sensed him there, right next to me. He wasn’t touching me, but I swore he was thinking about it or something.

That makes no sense, Taylor.

I shivered, anxious and excited, all at the same time. “I don’t know if you remember me, but I’m—”

Without warning, Chase moved close enough for me to feel his heat. I backed against the wall until I couldn’t back up anymore. It wasn’t that he scared me. He didn’t. I just…

I just backed up, okay?

“You’re Taylor Selmer. Of course, I remember you. Why are you in my room?”

Soon, we’re spending our nights tangled together, and I don’t want to let her go. The trouble is, my wanderlust is calling to me, and before we know it I’ll be traveling the globe to fulfill a promise I made long ago.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 5 Stars

Just in case Wanderlust needed a more romantic backdrop that what the amazing Lauren Blakely had already written, this remarkable, swoon-worthy romance is set in Paris. Complete with a balcony with a view of the Eiffel Tower that Griffin and Joy put to *very* good use!

I loved the idea of American Joy and Brit Griffin meeting one another in Paris, a city they are both drawn to for their own personal reasons. Their meet-cute was absolutely adorable, and the fact that they later realize that he is her French translator — therefore meaning that no hanky panky should go on between them — adds a bit of a forbidden aspect to the sizzling connection between them. Instead, Griffin and Joy decide to be friends, and we then see this couple really get to know one another. As part of his brother’s dying wish to fulfil a bucket list, Griffin is planning to leave the city after his assignment with Joy ends, but not without teaching her how to speak French first, as it ticks off another item on the list.

It’s not long before they both realize that the connection between them is too special to be “just friends” — but aren’t you just asking for heartbreak when you know a relationship has an expiration date?

I loved the turn the couple’s relationship took once they realized that their time was running out. I loved how Griffin struggled with his feelings for Joy and his promise to his brother. And most of all, I loved the swoon-worthy moment he went back to get his girl upon realizing that true love cured his wanderlust. This book was an absolute delight, and one that I will keep on my re-read list. I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

Blurb

I’m not a good man, and I’ve never pretended to be. I don’t believe in goodness or God or any happy ending that isn’t paid for in advance.

What do I believe in? Money. Sex. Macallan 18.

They have words for men like me—playboy. Womanizer. Skirt chaser.

My brother used to be a priest, and he only has one word for me.

Sinner.

***Sinner is a standalone companion to Priest about Father Bell’s brother Sean. You do not have to read Priest or Midnight Mass to read Sinner.***

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 5 Stars

Pray for us sinners, indeed.

Sinner is a standalone story within Sierra Simone’s Priest series. I loved Priest. I loved everything about Father Tyler Bell and Poppy, their love affair and the complications that arose for Tyler both personally and professionally, the journey it led him on and the self-reflection that eventually allowed him to make peace with who he thought he was and the person he became once Poppy entered his life. Priest has been my benchmark for forbidden romances, and SIERRA DOES IT AGAIN!

For as dirty and rough as Tyler could be, his older brother, Sean, is on a whole other level of depravity. While the death of their sister led Tyler to become a priest, it had the opposite affect on Sean, who completely turned his back on his faith. But then Sean is reacquainted with his best friend’s little sister, Zenny, fifteen years younger than him, whom he hasn’t seen in years and is about to become a postulant. When Zenny propositions Sean to teach her the ins and outs of sex, all that she’d be leaving behind, during her last four weeks before she takes her vows, suddenly, Sean (who never cares about any of the strippers or socialites he sleeps with) is faced with a crisis of conscience.

And so begins their torrid, nasty, filthy, depraved sexual affair, as Sean introduces innocent Zenny to all sorts of carnal depravity. (There are some scenes in Sinner that seriously rival Tyler and Poppy’s altar sex in Priest. Like what they do at the kitchen sink.)

The story is told through Sean’s POV, so while Zenny is experiencing her own personal sexual revolution, Sean goes through one hell of an emotional journey as he begins seeing in a new, different light things he long thought he’d come to terms with. At the same time that Sean is discovering, much to his surprise, that he’s falling in love for the first time in his life, the Bells are going through yet another family trauma, and it all makes Sean question the choices he’s made and what he’s thus far believed.

“I am acutely aware that she’ll never be mine. She’ll always be God’s.”

“The irony of a sinner loving a nun.”

For as full of heat that Sinner is, it is also so full of heart. I felt all of the heartache that Sean felt over the situation with Zenny. It is a thought-provoking romance on so many levels, and it kept me up into the wee hours of the morning, long after I’d finished reading, thinking about this couple’s journey. I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.
