All the feels! I know Lauren Blakely is a queen of romcom, but Unbreak My Heart is unlike anything I’ve previously read from her.

I’m hesitant to describe it as a second-chance romance, because it is not your typical story in that trope. Sure, the story is the reunion between Andrew and Holland, who only broke up because of college plans and geographic distance. But the core of this story is Andrew’s journey through his grieving and loss as he tries to understand his brother’s decisions in his last days of battling cancer. That loss left Andrew so lost and in so much despair.

With Holland by his side, he attempts to make sense of something senseless. But they are both wise enough to know that he needs to figure things out before they can get back together.

I loved all of the emotions this story evoked, and it’s message of peace, love for yourself and others, and finding the hope in a seemingly hopeless situation.

The Right Fit is a sexy, cute story. Maxine is reeling after finding out that her fiancé is cheating on her, and she has a one-night stand with a hunky mystery man.

Maxine has her quirks, but she is a likable, relatable heroine. I love sports romances when the heroine has no idea who the hero is. And Antony’s accent is adorable! Both of the characters are sweet, there is not really a hidden agenda on Antony’s part. There are some outside forces that are working against them in terms of their past, but these two bring out the better pieces in one another and are The Right Fit.

My heart thumped an extra anxious beat when a dark shadow filled one window and then the doorframe. A moment later, a mountain of a man stepped through the threshold and squinted down at me. He was the most attractive person I’d ever laid eyes on, and for a moment, I swear I forgot my name.
“Hannah Price?” Right. That was it. His voice was deep and sounded hoarse as though he spent his days barking orders like a drill sergeant.
“Yes. Can I help you?”
He extended a palm the size of my dessert plates. “Tripp Maverick. I’m taking over the property management business for my father. I’ll be here the first of every month to check on the building and collect rent.”
I swallowed the dry lump that had formed in my throat before I accepted his handshake. I’d never met Tripp Maverick, but I knew his name well, and the fact that he was my new landlord was bad news for me. His reputation was that of a bulldozer—straight and steady—his will bent to no man. Or woman, as it were.
“Nice to meet you, Mr. Maverick.” I pulled my hand from his strong grip and unconsciously wiped it down the apron covering my thigh. “Is everything okay with your dad?”

He stepped around me, the scent of pine and man dizzying. I counted six loud echoes of his boots against the floor before I found my voice again. “Mr. Maverick?”
