Cover Reveal: Tequila, Tequila, by Emma Hart

TEQUILATEQUILA-BANNER1.jpg

Tequila + you best friend + your bedroom =  um, whoopsie?

Tequila Tequila, an all-new hilarious standalone romantic comedy from New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Emma Hart is coming November 13th and we have the brand new cover.

TT-FULL.jpg

Synopsis

Don’t sleep with your best friend.

Take it from me. I did it. And it was awful.

I-wish-the-tequila-made-me-forget kind of bad.

The problem is, Luke has forgotten. He swears that he can’t remember a thing about that night beyond the trays of tequila shots being set on the tables.

Except I can’t forget. I can’t forget how good his hands felt until I fell over and hit my hip on the dresser, and I sure as hell can’t forget the entire two minutes of tap-tap-squirt.

Awkward. Embarrassing. And the new subject of a couple of dirty lucid dreams.

But I have no intention of telling him what we did. Nothing good comes from telling your best friend he’s the worst guy you’ve ever slept with.

Which makes the tequila on my birthday a very, very bad idea…

Sunny Shelly’s Review: Faux Pas, by Natasha Madison

Meghan
Five days in Paris sounded like a great idea for three friends. Especially when amazing wine was in play.

It didn’t matter that our rented “apartment” only had one bed, and barely enough space to breathe, we were in Paris and our motto was c’est la vie.

Nothing would faze us, not even the rude waiter at the first restaurant we went to, or the insanely hot manger who was insulted when a bottle of wine was returned.

Nothing could bring me down or knock me off my path to the best vacation of my life.

Alex

I had six days in Paris and then I’d go back to my wine vineyard. It was smooth sailing, until three “americans” came into the restaurant and returned my newest full bodied, savory creation.

I ignored her until she stormed out of the restaurant looking for a taxi at one in the morning. I couldn’t leave her wandering around the streets of Paris, could I?

I’d give her a ride, make sure she was safe, and my duty would be done. Except, was it?

Something about her pulled me.

This could be a vacation fling. After all, there is no real reason for her to know my interesting secret.

I’m France’s most eligible bachelor.

This faux pair is almost a faux pas…

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 4 Stars

A trip to Paris turns into the trip of a lifetime for American Meghan. When she sends back a bottle of wine in an upscale restaurant, she meets Alex, one of Europe’s most eligible bachelors.

The banter between the characters was excellent, and the vacation fling set-up was highly entertaining and a real escape. Alex is hiding something pretty big from Meghan, and he figures that she’ll never find out if they only share a week-long fling. But the best-laid plans often go awry, and when what happens in Paris doesn’t stay in Paris, will Alex’s faux pas be a dealbreaker?

Cute, sexy story with great characters! I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

EXCERPT

He makes his way through the tables, straight to ours. “quel est le problème?” What is the problem, his voice comes out gruff, the smell of his musk hitting my nose.

“Le vin n’est pas bon,” The wine isn’t good, I start saying, and I look at his eyes that look almost black. I’m not sure if it’s his natural color, or if the restaurant is dimmer now than before, or maybe it’s just his form blocking the lights. “il a un goût de vinaigre.” It tastes like vinegar, and I’m not sure it was the right thing to say or not. He stares at me, not saying a word. “Taste it.” I give up on my French and switch to English. “You’ll see.”

I’m waiting for him to say something back, but he doesn’t. Instead, he turns around and walks away from the table, going into the back. “What the fuck just happened?” Diana says in a whisper. We all turn to see where he went, checking to see if he is going to storm back in.

“She insulted his wine,” Kate says, leaning in and speaking softly.

I throw my hands in the air. “It was shit,” I say louder than I wanted to. “You guys said it yourself.” Looking around, I see that a couple of the tables are looking at us, but the majority of the tables are deep in their own conversations and not paying attention.

We don’t say anything else when we see the waiter come back with a new bottle in one hand and a new wine glass in the other. He uncorks the wine, then pours a touch in and waits for me to taste it. I don’t say anything to him; I just nod my head, and he puts the bottle in the middle of the table. “I guess I will pour the wine,” Kate says, picking up the bottle and pouring it in everyone’s glass. I pick up the glass of wine and bring it to my lips. The cold glass is resting on my lips when I feel someone staring at me. I look down and take a sip, then look around, and I guess it’s just me because no one is looking in my direction.

By the time we finish dinner, we’ve drunk two more bottles. and everyone is laughing and having a great time. The food was amazing. “We need a taxi,” I say. Getting up, I grab my jacket, shrugging it on.

“I think we can walk to the corner that way,” Diana says, pointing at the sky, “and flag one down.”

“If we go that way,” Kate says, pointing at the sky, “we need to call NASA.” We all laugh out loud while the waiter comes to take the bill from us.

“Merci.” We smile at him as he walks away, still not saying a word.

“Yes, thank you for my glass of ice cubes that you only brought me one of even though I asked for seven,” Kate says, laughing while trying to whisper. “And thank you for pouring our wine.”

“Okay, let’s go,” I say, walking to the front door.

“I’m going to ask him for a taxi,” Kate says, going to the waiter who stands at the hostess counter and asking him for a cab.

I watch from the front door as Diana stands behind her while I look in my bag and pull out my lip gloss.

“Pardon.” I hear Kate say loudly, and I look up.

“Vous pensez qu’après tout ce que vous avez fait ce soir vous méritez que je vous appelle un taxi ?” I stand here with my mouth open in shock when he answered her. Do you think after everything you did to me tonight that you deserve that I call you a taxi?

Kate starts. “What did I do? Expect you to do your job?” she says, and Diana grabs her arm, pulling her to the front door.

“Did he just say …?” I ask her when we are standing outside in front of the restaurant, the wind blowing my hair in front of my face. I turn my head, making it fly back the other way.

“So it’s safe to say,” Diana starts with a laugh, “we aren’t coming back to this restaurant.”

“Take a picture of it, and tomorrow we can go on Yelp and leave a bad review,” Kate says, grabbing her phone from her pocket.

“Let’s just go,” I say, and the three of us look around at the desolate street.

“What time is it?” I ask and take out my phone. “Shit, it’s one a.m.”

“Yeah,” Diana says. We look right down the dark street and see some traffic coming from up ahead. “We should walk to that street and flag down a taxi.”

We all nod and start walking with Kate in the middle. “He was such an ass,” Kate says, “and the boss or manager was an even bigger ass.”
“Seriously,” I say, turning to them. “It’s like it was my fault his wine was shit,” I say, and then we all stop when a white four-door Audi stops next to us, surprising us.

“Get in.” The voice sounds familiar, but the street is so dark it doesn’t help. I lean in a bit to see his face, and I’m shocked when I see it’s the manager from the restaurant.

When her nose isn’t buried in a book, or her fingers flying across a keyboard writing, she’s in the kitchen creating gourmet meals. You can find her, in four inch heels no less, in the car chauffeuring kids, or possibly with her husband scheduling his business trips. It’s a good thing her characters do what she says, because even her Labrador doesn’t listen to her…

Excerpt

“I don’t like feeling like this,” Will said.
I sucked a breath through my teeth. “Feeling like what?”
“Like this.” He took a step toward me, and I fought
not to step backward. Will had a quiet authority about him, and in the shadows
of the moon, his shoulders seemed to broaden, his legs seemed to lengthen. He
seemed larger than life.
When he had me backed up against the porch railing, he
raised a hand, floating his fingers around my jaw, over my cheeks, but never
actually touching me. I arched toward his hand. I couldn’t help it. But he
hovered, never making contact.
“You make me feel…” Will started. “Out of control.”
I couldn’t move. “Oh?”
“Like I actually have to care about what someone else
thinks. Like I’m not alone anymore.” He paused. His eyes opened wide, following
the path of his fingers as they took hold of a strand of hair in my ponytail
and twirled. “And for the first time in a very long time, I feel like I don’t
want to be.”
He tugged lightly on the strand, and I felt the slight pinch
like an arrow through my body, shooting down my arms and legs, and coming to
throb in that place no man had been for so, so long. I bit my lip. Will’s eyes
dilated.
“Tell the truth, Lil. What do you want?”
You. The word echoed distantly, like a bell tolling
from miles away. I didn’t understand it. I was broken. A mess. What should I
want with this man? We had a connection, sure, but overall, he was nothing but
trouble. He was grouchy. A loner. Clearly had serious social and emotional
control issues.
And yet. There was no denying that something was here. Since
we met, it certainly felt at times as if the universe itself was tilting on its
axis, trying to knock me into him. Breakdown after breakdown. Meeting after
meeting. And now…
I tipped my chin up so I could look directly at him, drawn
like one of the moths circling the porch light. Winging through the dark, ready
to dive into his golden inferno.
“I don’t want Lucas,” I said quietly, drifting my gaze up
and down his naked torso. A sheen of sweat glimmered in the moonlight, which
also made the shadows of his muscles—the square pectorals, the solid rack of
abs, the lickable V that dipped beneath his shorts—that much more
evident.
Will followed my gaze, and his hand dropped. He stepped
between my legs, and his unique scents engulfed me. Working all afternoon only
made them that much stronger—the scent of pine trees, lake water, and man swallowed
me with a heady rush that made me shake slightly. And it was then, only then, that
he finally touched me. My waist was encircled by his wide palms, so broad that
his fingers nearly touched on either side. It was relatively innocent, but the
intent was clear. Just like last night, he held me still; I couldn’t move
unless he wanted me to. For that moment, I was his.
When I looked back up, his eyes were fixed on my lips.
Unconsciously, I licked the lower one. His pupils dilated even more.
“Lil,” he whispered as he leaned a little closer.
“What are you waiting for?” I murmured. Now I was the one
staring at his mouth—so soft and full under his newly trimmed beard.
I panted. Will swore.
“Fuck it,” he growled. “I don’t fucking know.”
Sometimes you don’t know you wanted something until you have
it. Sometimes you don’t know you need something until it’s there.
His mouth found mine in a fury, one that surprised me for
about a half second before. The hands at my waist gripped so tightly, I almost
couldn’t breathe, and I felt like I was strangled—not for lack of oxygen, but
for lack of him. Will’s lips made me feel like I was breathing for the
first time; like I’d been under water my entire life, and he was the air I’d
never known I needed.

BLURB

Delilah Sage was my comfort within all the pain.

Offering open arms when I needed an escape.

The only one trusted to be there for me.

But our dreams were doomed from the start.

And I left her clinging to false hope.

Regret has plagued me for years.

The memories of Delilah refuse to fade.

Each second of every day, I want to claim her as mine.

But I won’t ruin her life.

And she’s better off without me.

When a job lands me in town, I plan to keep my distance.

My scars are mine alone.

Dredging up the past will only cause deeper damage.

But Delilah has always been my weakness.

And resisting her isn’t an option.

After all, there’s far too much for us to miss.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 4 Stars

Miss is not exactly a hearts and flowers second chance romance. It’s a bit gritty and intense, with a perfectly wounded hero who feels like he can’t quite measure up to the woman who claimed his heart years ago.

The road to reconciliation for Zeke and Delilah is not an easy one. He has some major baggage, and it’s pretty dark. But Harlow Rae handles the domestic violence and Zeke’s abuse wonderfully. My heart broke for him, but he turns his life around and comes out stronger than he thought he’s ever be. With Delilah by his side.

I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

EXCERPT

“Why are you being like this?” I ask softly.

His voice is even more flat when he says, “Not sure what you mean. This is me.”

“You’re acting so detached and strange. This isn’t like you.”

“Well, you don’t know me anymore.”

That response brings fury and betrayal roaring to the surface again. “And whose fault is that, Zeke?” I grab a nearby mug with the intention of throwing it at his head. He’s giving me worse mood swings than Aunt Flo.

“We both know the answer. Let’s not play guessing games.”

“You’re ridiculous. I don’t understand you at all,” I say.

“A lot happens in five years. You’re not the only one who’s changed.” He gestures around the store.

“What is that supposed to mean? Are you upset about my career choice?”

“Nah, that isn’t it.”

“What then? Let’s stop dancing around. You came here for a reason,” I point out.

A flush races up his neck, painting the stubbled skin an angry red. “All of this is proof you never needed me. Not like I fucking depend on you.”

Synopsis:

Landing a writing gig in Hollywood was just as difficult as becoming an actor, and something Claire Becker had learned the hard way.

Sure, she didn’t have to conform to ridiculous beauty standards and give up her love for raw cookie dough, but the sting of rejection burned all the same. The only things that kept her sane were her two amazing roommates and her guilty pleasure—writing fan-fiction.

Getting lost in her own world, she’d forget that she had yet to land her dream job, and instead spent time with her dream man—Nick Larsson. Well, at least in the literary sense. Too bad he wasn’t aware or an active participant—her fictional love life, outstanding.

Tall, good-looking and sexy beyond comprehension, Nick Larsson not only had a famous last name—and four equally smoldering brothers—but was talented beyond belief. A star on the rise with a critically acclaimed series, his body and face were what fantasy scripts—and dreams—were made of. Made for some pretty steamy writing opportunities too.

And yes, it was probably “wrong” for Claire to objectify him, but it wasn’t like anyone knew about it. Just her, and her two amazing, supportive roommates.

Or at least they were amazing and supportive, and bound to be missed after Claire killed them.

In a moment of unexplained insanity, one of them —or both, each as bad as the other—sent her latest installments to the man himself.

Cue panic of epic proportions.

All Claire needed to do was sneak into his apartment and retrieve the misappropriated story before Nick, or anyone else, read it and mistook her for a creepy stalker. Although, breaking and entering probably wouldn’t convince anyone to the contrary either.

Claire was going to get the best material of her life, or end up with a restraining order. Either way, the story was getting a hell of lot more interesting.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: When Forever Changes, by Siobhan Davis

WFC_BLOGTOUR.jpg

When Forever Changes, an all-new emotional, angsty, new adult romance from USA Today bestselling author Siobhan Davis is available NOW!

WhenForeverChanges_ecover

Gabby

Looking back, I should have seen the signs. Perhaps I did, but I subconsciously chose to ignore them.

From the time I was ten, when I first met Dylan, I knew he was my forever guy. Back then, I couldn’t put words to what I was feeling, but, as the years progressed, I came to recognize it for what it was—soul-deep love. The kind only very few people ever get to experience. Dylan was more than just my best friend, my childhood sweetheart, my lover.

He was my soulmate.

We were carved from the same whole—destined to be together forever.

Until he changed.

And I believed I was no longer good enough.

Until he shattered me so completely, it felt like I ceased to exist.

And I’d never experienced such heart-crushing pain.

Until he leveled me a second time, and I truly wanted to die.

But I had to stay strong because I wasn’t alone in this cruel twist of fate.

I look to the sky, pleading with the stars, begging someone to tell me what I should do because I don’t know how to deal with this. I don’t know how to cope when my forever has changed, and I can’t help wondering if I had seen the signs earlier, if I’d pushed him, would it have been enough to save us?

Or had fate already decided to alter our forever?

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 5 Stars

Is it possible to have two great loves in your lifetime? To love two men at once? Those are the questions that Gabby finds herself asking after her forever changes, and then again when an thinkable curveball alters the new path she’s forged for herself.

When I saw how many chapters When Forever Changes has, I groaned. But I dove in, and never looked back. This book gutted me. I cried for these characters. And I HATED Dylan there for a while, so that is saying a lot!

What Dylan, Gabby and Slater go through is not a conventional love triangle… and there is a ton of hurt and disappointment all around due to their circumstances. But by the end of this magnificent journey, wrongs are righted, love abounds in ways I never thought it would have somewhere there in the middle, and the beautiful epilogue delivers an unexpected message that left me sobbing.

This is the second book I’ve read by Siobhan Davis and I enjoyed it immensely, just as I did Incognito. (And what a nice surprise to see Shawn and Dakota make a cameo!!) I really hope that there is a story ahead for Gabby’s brother, Ryan, and her best friend, Myndi!! I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

WhenForeverChanges__Teaser3.png

Excerpt:

A shrill whistle pierces my eardrums, and I look up as my name is called. My brother, Ryan, waves from across the street. He’s in his running gear, and, judging by the hair plastered to his forehead, I’m guessing he’s on the return route of his daily jog. He sprints across the road with a certain look on his face. One I’ve seen way too many times to count.

“Good evening, ladies,” he says, all but ignoring me as he grins seductively at my friend. Very slowly, he peruses the length of her body, licking his lips and folding his muscular arms across his torso. Myndi’s chest visibly heaves as she returns the eye-fuck, and I know it’s time to stop this train wreck from happening.

I punch Ryan in the arm.

Hard.

“Ow!” Rubbing his arm, he scowls at me.“What the fuck was that for?”

“Quit with the sleazy‘comefuck me’ looks. Myndi is my best friend so that means she’s off limits to the likes of you.” I prod my finger in his solid chest to drill my point home. And it’s not the first time I’ve had to issue a warning. He’s been after her since last year. Although he’d never make a move on any girl in a relationship, now that Myndi and Travis are no more, he seems to have made it a mission to get her underneath him.

As much as I love my brother, and I truly adore him, he’s a complete manwhore, leaving a trail of broken hearts all over campus. If I thought his intentions were serious, and that Myndi was into it, I wouldn’t stand in their way, but I don’t want to see her hurt. And I don’t want things to become awkward. Even though Ryan, Slater, and their crew are seniors, we still hang with them a lot, and if Ryan treated Myndi like one of his “girls,” things would definitely get messy.

“You’re lucky you’re my favorite sister,” he grumbles, shoving my finger away.

I purse my lips and narrow my eyes.“I’m your only sister.”

“Exactly.” He smirks, and I roll my eyes.

“Myndi has just had a bad breakup and the last thing she needs is Mr. One-night Stand hitting on her.”

He slams a hand over his chest, feigning upset.“You slay me, little sis. Such cruel words.”

“Don’t even try to deny it. There’s a running roll call of your conquests on the wall in the girls’ restroom.” A sour taste fills my mouth.“And that is not something I should ever have to see.” I’m not confirming it’s a list of the hottest guys on campus with each girl rating their skills on a scale of one to ten. Or the fact he and Slater are more than holding their own at the top of the list. Ugh. A sister does not need to know this stuff.

He puffs out his chest, and his lips curl up at the corners.“Can’t help it if the ladies love what I’m offering.” He shoots us a smug grin.“It’s all in the James’ genes. You’d know it if you hadn’t attached yourself to Woods when you were still in diapers.”

I smack his chest this time.“I was fifteen when Dylan and I first started going out. Asshat.”

“Does Woods know you get off on beating up defenseless men?” He grabs his chin between his thumb and forefinger.“Oris that the standard he’s used to?”

I fist my hands into knots, working hard to quell the urge to thump him again.“Ugh.You are so freaking annoying. Thank God, it’s your last year here.”

Quick as a flash, he grabs me into a headlock, messing up my hair.“Don’t be mean, Tornado. You know you’ll miss your favorite brother.”

Sunny Shelly’s Review:  4 Stars

He’s a knight in geeky armour and she’s a damsel in distress! Poppy’s life has not been easy, and Jameson is the IT nerd who just may be her savior. The connection between the characters is great, and the story is sweet, with a hint of suspense that made me kept flipping the page.

While I liked the characters plenty, I didn’t *love* them the way some other reviewers did. I think that’s simply because I hadn’t read anything in this series previously. There weren’t plot points missing for me, but maybe I just wasn’t as emotionally invested in the story because I didn’t know of the others who had come first. That said, this story is just fine on it’s own, and Poppy and Jameson are well-rounded, likable characters.

children live in Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia.  She studied Communication, specifically
Public Relations, at Radford University.
Growing up, Renee
always found a way to pursue her creativity. It began by watching endless runs
of White Christmas- yes even in the summer – and learning every word and dance
from the movie. She could still sing Sister Sister if requested. In high school
she joined the show choir and a community theatre group, The Troubadours. After
marrying the man of her dreams and moving from her hometown she sought out a
different artistic outlet – writing.
To say that Renee

toddler around the house, working her day job, or writing, she delves head
first into a romance novel.

New Release: Forty Candles by AM Willard

Release Date: October 3, 2018

Cover Design: Annelle Willard

Synopsis

I’ve always done what was expected of me. I married the man that my family thought I was supposed to. I turned a blind eye when his after work activities weren’t really for work. What I couldn’t look past anymore was how lonely I’d become.

All it took was one night to change my life.

I filed for a separation.
I moved my teenage daughter and me in with my parents.
Did I mention that my room should be placed in an 80’s museum? Yes, it’s not changed in decades.

Then my life changed again right before my 40th birthday.

Just when I thought things were going to get back to normal, in walks Lenny Ward. He’s the man your parents warn you about. You know the type… A body like a God, smart, oh and the sex… It’s like a 10.0 earthquake off the charts type of connection.
Even though we have chemistry, I have to protect not only my heart but my daughters.

**Can be read as a stand alone***

Indie

I’ve never believed in fairy tales. Sure, I was raised with Disney movies and princess stories, but I wasn’t stupid enough to fall for them. The can’t-eat, can’t-sleep kind of love doesn’t exist. And that’s a fact.
My relationship is realistic. Convenient. Solid. I thought I was happy.
And then I met him.
My new neighbor.
The guy who’s starting to make me question everything. Making me wonder if maybe, just maybe, I could be wrong.

Rhett

I’ve never been afraid to go after what I want. After all, my job is solely based on seeing opportunities and capitalizing on them.
And then I met my new neighbor.
Our chemistry is off the charts, our banter is on point, and her body is out of this world.
So why does she turn to ice as soon as I mention a date? Even when her eyes linger longer than necessary?
She’s hiding something.
And I’m going to find out what it is.

**This is not a cheating book and has a HEA**

About Kelsie

Kelsie prides herself on writing straight from her own heart, which is how she fell into sweet contemporary romance. She’s a sucker for a love story with all the feels. When she’s not chasing words for her next book, you will probably find her reading or, more likely, playing with her “monsters”.

She adores chocolate, photography, baking, chick flicks, and running. And now that she’s actively pursuing her writing dreams, she’s set her sights on someday finding the self-discipline to not eat an entire batch of cookies in one sitting.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 4 Cronuts

Kelsie Rae delivers another adorable love story with Rhett! Rhett and Indie bond over cronuts, and their relationship is just as sweet as the yummy pastry! The attraction between them is clear from the start, but she has a live-in boyfriend and as a child of divorce, Rhett has vowed to never fall for an unavailable woman.

Indie’s current relationship is quite complicated. She’s basically living as roommates with the boyfriend she’s had since high school. Their lives are so intertwined, she just keeps existing with Tony. But her encounters with Rhett make her realize that there is more to being in a relationship than being complacent. KR does a great job of conveying Indie’s confusion, and having these two characters fall for one another and try to fight it. (There is no cheating, as Indie breaks up with Tony before anything happens with Rhett!)

This book is easily read in a single sitting, full of cute moments and a sweet instalove between two incredibly likable characters. As always, KR packs a romantic punch without relying on descriptive sexy scenes, which is so refreshing! Rhett is a feel-good romance that you don’t want to miss! I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.
