Sunny Shelly’s Review: 4 Stars
I enjoyed this book so much more than I was expecting to! I was figuring it would be a sexy story with an arrogant and cocky hero, and it was… but there was so much more to Jensen and my heart broke for him!
It’s hate at first sight for the cocky construction and rental company owner and the sassy schoolteacher, Cami, who is looking for a new place to live after catching her boyfriend cheating. They definitely get off on the wrong foot, and their subsequent interactions go pretty much the same way. But there is such an intense push and pull between them — as much as they hate one another, they are incredibly attracted to the other as well. And for Jensen — who has pretty much lived the past few years as nothing more than a one-and-done stud for the local ladies — what he starts feelinng for Cami terrifies him.
Jensen is carrying some major baggage around, and the last thing he wants is to break Cami as a result of his demons. But will he take a chance and realize that it’s easier to carry that kind of load when you share what’s holding you back?
For as gruff and nasty as Jensen comes off, there is an incredibly sweet guy underneath that hard exterior. And when Cami uncovers the soft soul that’s buried underneath, these two build a beautiful life together. The guy who thought he was worth nothing more than sex material becomes the best kind of boyfriend material and then husband material.
I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

it. “How many times a week did Douglas make you come? Really?”
definitely a real application.” I stand, wiping my hands down my jeans. “Did
you answer every question?”
her head and lets out a sarcastic laugh. “Did I… did I answer every question?
Of course I didn’t, because there’s at least three that are irrelevant to me
living here. You’re insane if you think I’m going to give you that kind of
information.”
head in disappointment, I move toward Cami, stopping once I’m standing right in
front of her. “Then you didn’t listen.” I point out. “I told you to complete
the application and bring it back to me within a few hours, and here you are
four fucking hours later standing in my
kitchen with an incomplete form.”

When she doesn’t say anything, I lick my lips and continue. “Fourteen.”
