Sunny Shelly’s Review: 4 Stars
Another magical By The Bay book! I love this group of friends who live on Ocracroke! Having spent many summers in the Outer Banks, I love reading about the places I visited and remember!
The Mistakes I’ve Made is a Perfect enemies to lovers romance. The tension is thick between Lanier and Taylor right off the bat, and so is the simmering distaste for one another. Taylor makes mistake after mistake when it comes to dealing with Lani and the remodel he’s supposed to be overseeing with her. But somewhere along the way, those mistakes changed both of their lives for the better.
Taylor has some issues, and he shies away from them at first, but he thankfully steps up before it is too late. And all Lani wants is to prove herself to her father; she has a great arc of personal growth in this story, thanks to the strength she finds within herself once she begins dating Taylor.
Definitely curl up with this book on a Saturday! I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.
