When Jude is offered the position of assistant coach to an online gaming championship, he’d be a fool to turn it down. But when his celebrity crush ends up being on the team, he decides to teach her a lot more than a few gaming tricks.

Quin doesn’t date. Being the breadwinner since she was sixteen will do that to a girl. So when the sexy new British coach shows up, she refuses to be distracted. She has goals, and she will achieve them. No matter the cost.

But is she willing to lose the only thing that matters to her in order to do so?

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 4 Stars

For an author who hasn’t been on the scene very long, Kelsie Rae is quickly becoming one of my favorites! She knocks another one out of the park with Jude, who we previously met in Breezy. (He’s Derrick’s friend and business partner.)

A former gaming champion, Jude is sent to assist the team he and Derrick are sponsoring in the world championships. On a personal level, Jude is thrilled that one of the players is Quincy, a young female gamer he’s admired online. Little does he know, but Quin looks up to Jude, and has for many years as watching him play gave her some peace and comfort during a dark time in her life.

But when their first meeting is anything but pleasant, Jude finds a way to get to know Quin through the gaming platform’s chat messenger, and begins to fall for the quirky, sheltered young woman who is so afraid to step outside of her comfort zone. But when he slips up, will he shatter the friendship that they’ve also begin to develop in real life?

I loved how Jude helps timid Quin break out of her comfort zone, and learn to live life. The characters are so well-written, their backstories are solid and believable, and I was rooting for them from the beginning.

I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

About the Author

Kelsie is a sucker for a love story with all the feels and enjoys a solid chick flick, too. When she’s not chasing words for her next book, you will probably find her reading or, more likely, playing with her “monsters”.
She adores chocolate, photography, baking, and running. And now that she’s actively pursuing her writing dreams, she’s set her sights on someday finding the self-discipline to not eat an entire batch of cookies in one sitting.
