Blurb
We crashed into each
other like the moth and the flame.
For years, we’ve been best friends.

I told him all my secrets and I believed I knew his.

In camp, I thought he was the most beautiful boy in the world.

In high-school, I promised him my virginity.

On our first day of college, I had three revelations:

He’s a jerk.

He doesn’t care.

I don’t even know him.

 Sunny Shelly’s Review: 3.5 Stars

What do you do when you vow at 12 to love someone forever, and they don’t recognize you when you cross paths again 7 years later?

Oscar (Os) and Delia fell in young-love as preteens at summer camp, they kept in touch as penpals for a while afterwards, but lost touch. On her first day at NYU, Delia sees the boy to whom she gave her heart all those years ago — but he doesn’t recognize her. Or pretends not to, at least. Slowly, Os and Delia rekindle their love, but his behavior is somewhat erratic, he runs hot and cold and it takes them WAAAY to long in my opinion to get to the bottom of why he just cut off all contact with her.

Even once the truth all comes out, I felt like the story dragged a bit. I just didn’t get the soul-mate vibe from these two. Still, Truly Yours is an enjoyable YA second-chance romance, easily read in a single sitting. This is the second book that MM has put out, and I hope to see her writing mature as she goes along, because there are some fabulous, if not unpolished, nuggets in Truly Yours and her debut novel, Love, On Hold.

I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.
