The Theory Of Unrequited is a full-of-angst, coming-of-age, in-love-with-your-best-friend YA novel that made me smile at times, and want to throw my kindle against the wall at others. It evoked such varying emotions in me as I was reading this story. AJ is a lovable, totally relatable young woman, and I wanted to slap Evan upside the head more than once. Bu my heart broke a little for Evan when his world is just shattered. The growing pains that these two go through brought me back to my own teenage years.
This story does end on a cliffhanger — I was not aware of that fact, and I hate when that isn’t made clear ahead of time. Also, there are apparently three more books to come in this series. Will I stick around to the very end? I’m not sure. But The Theory Of Unrequited did make me glad that I am no longer a teenager! Oh, the drama! I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review
