Sunny Shelly’s Review: 4 Stars
Maci kept something huge from Ethan, and once he learns what it was, he kind of goes off the rails. For as much as he claimed he wanted to be a better man for Maci, and wanted her back in his life, I kind of expected a more mature response from him. And Maci was just so insecure about so much where Ethan is concerned, I felt like they kept repeating the same things over and over again. In the end, I enjoyed Ethan and Maci’s story, but not as much as I devoured Reese and Mark’s story in the A Little Like Destiny trio. I can’t quite put my finger on why, because The Unbreakable Thread duet is part of the same Vail world. I think that the deceit and immaturity on both their parts is maybe why I didn’t fall in love with Ethan and Maci as a couple the way I did with Mark and Reese. They are both so insecure on so many levels and have a lot of fear and doubts about themselves and the other to work through. But that said, I still enjoyed this duet very much and hope that this isn’t the last of the Vail gang.
