Sunny Shelly’s Review: 4 Stars
Hothead is the story of Drew and Evie, who are the best friends of Aly and Emmett from Dirty Deeds. The fake relationship trope can be hit or miss for me, but Hothead drew me in immediately, and I fell in love with Drew and Evie. Their banter was fun and witty, and the way these two tried to fight what was clearly happening between them as their fake relationship started to feel more and more real had me turning page after page.
Drew is really an arrogant jerk, a hothead whose cockiness has gotten him into trouble on more than one occasion. But he softens a bit upon meeting and falling for Evie, and even pulled a few swoon-worthy moments in his pursuit of her.
While the characters are connected to the previous book from Rhys, it is a complete standalone. I received an advanced copy and voluntrily left a review.
