I am at a loss. I finished reading Transcend 24 hours ago, and I still don’t know what I want to say about how amazing this book is. Or, for that matter, what I want to say that won’t spoil the amazingness that is this story.
This story is so rich, so deep, and makes you think of things outside the scope of what a more conventional romance novel has to offer. Swayze seems like such a normal, regular girl, but there is so much more to this young woman. Nathaniel is going through an incredibly difficult time, and the reaction that Swayze first envokes in him is quite shocking, with the intimate details she knows of his past. How does she know these things? Why do these bits of Nathaniel’s past come to her so clearly? Why does she feel this incredible pull toward her boss and his newborn daughter? Then there is Griffin, Swayze’s loyal, sweet boyfriend. They clearly love one another, but the way Nathaniel has turned her brain upside down is trickling into her relationship with Griff as well.
Jewel E. Ann always has the greatest connections in her books, and I loved the twist this took. But…. I cannot decide what team I’m on! How can you?!?! Both guys are so amazing in their own rights. If Griff was a jerk, it would be so easy to root for Nate. And poor Nate has had so much loss already… I can’t wait for Epoch!
