Where We Ended is the conclusion of the Where We Began duet and is not a standalone! The story picks up exactly where the other left off, and this book explores more of Dominic’s history. Will Laiken be able to forgive Dominic for his actions?
This story explores more of Dominic’s side of things, as he has more chapters in his POV than he had in the first book. But like I felt with the first one, I just felt that something was missing. Parts of the story were all over the place, and I didn’t feel that the throughline remained for this series from start to finish.
However, Laiken and Dominic certainly have a lot of chemistry, which is kind of what saved this story for me. Overall, I found it just to be okay. I finished the book with too many unanswered questions to have felt like I loved this tale. I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.
