Blurb
Emily was a cop’s daughter, and I was the boy from the wrong side of the tracks. At eighteen, our affair was wild and completely secret. Until she left town for college and a better life, and I hit the road to nowhere.
Eight years later, we’re both back in town. My father is in prison; Emily is selflessly helping her sister. We should be farther apart than we’ve ever been. But I’ve never been able to resist temptation, especially when that temptation is Emily.
I shouldn’t go near her. But I do.
She shouldn’t say yes. But she does.
Our chemistry is hotter than ever, but she’s hiding something from me. Just like I’m hiding something from her. It’s hard to tell whose secrets are more dangerous, until it all goes to hell.
I can save her – and she can save me. But we’ll have to break the rules.
We’re from different worlds. We don’t belong together.
But in the end, Emily and I are going to have to get dirty.
Sunny Shelly’s Review: 4 Stars
What a great new series starter! Luke and Emily had a steamy, hot, hidden secret relationship the summer after they graduated high school. But she is the small-town cop’s daughter, and he is one of “those Riggs boys” from the literal wrong side of the track. Their relationship never went further than secret, stolen nights before Emily went off to college, but they left a lasting impression on the other.
Eight years later, both Luke and Emily are called back to town by the respective families and cross paths once again. It’s not long before they give in to the sizzle that still exists between them, but when Luke is put in an awful position thanks to his deadbeat dad, he’s forced to keep a secret from Emily that could tear them apart for good. Can Emily trust Luke? Will he do the right thing?
Drive Me Wild was full of sizzle and an entertaining story. There were a few places where I felt the story was a bit choppy, but overall it was an enjoyable second chance/forbidden romance. And I can’t wait to see what Julie Kriss has planned for Luke’s brothers in the rest of this series. I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.
