All She Never Wanted is a sweet, heartfelt story about healing, moving on after a tragedy and finding love again. A year after Evie’s fiance was shot and died in her arms, she accepts a personal nursing job in North Carolina, needing to get far away from the ghosts that still haunt her in NYC. But being Landon’s personal nurse is no easy task. He’s a young, wealthy trust fund kid, whose life was tragically changed due to one reckless mistake. As a result of a skiing accident, Landon is broken, bitter and angry with the world. But there’s something about Evie and her sharp retorts and no-nonsense attitude that has him rethinking his current life situation and pushing him to walk again. Evie has Landon wanting to be a better man, but can he heal her shattered heart?
The banter between these two characters is witty, and there are so many moments of tenderness and vulnerability between them as well. All She Never Wanted is a relatively short, sweet read — I read it in an afternoon — and there it’s a relatively clean romance.
