AUTHOR BIO
Bestselling author Jaycee Ford grew up chasing street cars around the city of New Orleans. After doing a four year stint at Louisiana State University, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and fled for the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. New Orleans beckoned her home again where she put her love of the foothills into a series of romance novels. In between writing, she’s found behind her desk at a top rated law firm … or still chasing street cars.

Sunny Shelly’s Review: 3 Stars
The blurb for Recluse definitely caught my eye, and the prologue and first few chapters pulled me in. But then after that, I just felt let down by the story, as much as I liked Wyatt and Grace as characters. The story is told from Wyatt’s POV, and set a year after the death of her husband, who was his best friend and partner on the police force. Both characters are mourning his death and as they begin to lean on one another for support, their relationship grows increasingly more complicated.

Unfortunately, this story ends in a cliffhanger. I hate cliffhangers. And what I hate more than cliffhangers is not knowing that a book ends on a cliffhanger before I start reading it. Honestly, I probably wouldn’t have read Recluse had I known that going in because I hate being unsatisfied with how a story ends.
I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.
